Good Luck to you and the Mrs. Stay strong.

Hoping for a successful surgery. I'm sure you're chomping at the bit to get to her side. :(

EdmontonChiefsFan 12-17-2013 10:08 AM

Prayers sent. Stay positive.

Good luck. Diverticulitis isn't terribly uncommon, and that procedure to resolve is not uncommon either. My father had the same thing and the same procedure about 10 years ago and you'd never know.

LiveSteam 12-17-2013 10:56 AM

My lil one & I will pray for your wife & family tonight. Gods speed to a healthy recovery.

We moved her procedure up from Jan 14 to today due to the amount of pain she was in, but it created a conflict for me at work. I'll be leaving my office at 11:30 and hopefully get to the hospital as she goes into recovery. Hoping that this one operation can resolve the problem, but the docs are taking a wait and see approach.

Wanted to thank all of you for the support.

Best of luck to Mrs. Braincase.

BC....you, your wife and the rest of your family is in our prayers

Braincase 12-17-2013 11:18 AM

Alrighty... got my students on to the last lab I asked them to cover today, and they know how to get a hold of me. Time to shut things down here and head back to Larryville and get to my wife's side. My daughters tell me that it's about 3 hours in surgery, so I should be there before she gets into recovery.

Once again, thanks for the support.

I had a professor go through the same thing in college. It was an awful thing. Hopefully the surgery goes well and she can get on the road to recovery.

Wife is in her hospital room now, hitting the morphine button every time a new dose rolls over. She'll be in the hospital for 4 days, they tell me, but she'll be home for Christmas, albeit a "foot shorter". Doc told me hers was about as inflamed and "angry" a bowel as he's seen in some time. Hope we don't have to do a second round f this anytime soon.

Thanks for the prayers and positive thoughts. It is appreciated.

Speedy recovery to the misses. Make sure the kids understand, I mean really understand that Mom is going to be okay.
