Both sides are being ridiculous, it doesn't matter if Geno is serving fries next year or going to the Pro Bowl.
He isn't a Chief and no amount of wishing can change any of it... personally, I'll take Alex Smith 8 days a week over Geno, so **** him. He isn't a Chief, therefore he doesn't matter, like, at all. |

So if Alex Smith struggles next year are we allowed to use of the excuse that his surrounding cast sucks like people do with Geno?

The people who "hate" fisher wanted geno. I guess. I think fisher sucked and likely will again, but I wanted Sheldon and he was a bad ass so I guess I get a free pass? |

If we find him a WR like Beckham or Cooks in the draft and if Kelce plays like the TE people thought he would be, Smith could still struggle. He has to play ****ing Seattle, San Francisco, New England, Denver x2, San Diego x2, and three teams from the AFC North who all figure to be much improved from last year (Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Cincinnati). Arizona isn't exactly a cakewalk either. |

Playoffs?
The Jets have 2 turnover machines at QB. |

That team was 8-8 last year and is only getting better. |

I'm not saying its impossible that Vick takes over as the starter at one point, he very well might, but that's not what he was brought in to do. |

I wanted us to draft the kid because I though the combination of him and Alex Smith would create a perfect competition that would push each other and eventually provide us with that franchise quarterback we have always wanted. If Geno is bothered by Vick to the point he regresses, he would have NEVER won the job from Alex Smith. |
Sure, I understand dealing with pressure, but it was a kind of unnecessary pressure, wasn't it? The only reason to give Geno that pressure is if you feel it's distinctly possible he's not the guy.
I know last year, there were times Geno should have been replaced, but they had no one. They do now. |

By the same token, it's also human nature to have a pessimistic outlook when you're 40 years old and can count the playoff wins you've seen on one hand. Not ironically, that's not recognized here either. |

Wow. Just wow. And I thought his "Brady is DONE!!" thread was bad.
Honestly, I don't think I'd have the balls to post a football opinion about anything ever again. So much epic fail... |
