double edge sword if Fisher gets hurt. lose-lose no matter what because we have nothing at swing tackle

Allen may end up there if everything goes to shit.

Last quarter of the season he was playing pretty well. Kicked the shit out of Von Miller.

He's going to be okay.

I'd be more worried about Joe Mays as my starting MLB and Donnie Avery as my #2 WR than Eric Fisher.

Personally, I think that with Fisher and Stephenson, the Chiefs have the makings of a very good bookend tackle situation.

That's my thought. What could he possibly gain by waiting for the procedure? And which shoulder did he have surgery on? I'd assume it was his right.

I'd guess left. Pretty sure most of the pressures and sacks he gave up were to his inside.

Two questions:

Which NFL players have gone from injury prone rookie seasons to develop as perennial Pro-bowl players?

Exactly which position on the Chiefs OL has a high probability of being average or better this year?

Yep and Keenan Allen would look real nice right now to.

So now this has turned into an NFL.com draft do over? Everyone is complaining about who they would have taken #1 now that the season has played out? Hindsight is always 20/20. We took who we took, time to deal with it now.

Look. I get it was a weak draft and one which should have required some out of the box thinking but given the current state of the team I'd take Austin this year of Fish for the 2014 Chiefs.

So now wr are given a pass for poor production in their rookie campaign but o line doesn't? Doesn't make much sense. Draft a WR at number 1 but give him a pass because he's a rookie and needs time? Sounds basically like what you're getting panties in a wad about with Fisher.

Marcellus 04-22-2014 05:54 AM

Only CP could read that article and take it as nothing but negatives and think he just had surgery on Friday.

All this tells us is he was playing hurt last year. Doesn't mean he will kill it this year or be a bust.

Jury is still out.

MahiMike 04-22-2014 05:58 AM

So why did we let 3 of our line go? Another boring draft?

It's been a bizarre year. I hated the pick and still do. But my god, I've never seen a fan base so anxious to see a rookie fail.

Eleazar 04-22-2014 06:06 AM

We can rebuild him... we have the technology

I'm with you. Wasn't real happy with the pick but it is what it is now. All the wishing in the world won't give us that pick over again. But some on here think constant b!tching about it will I guess.

notorious 04-22-2014 07:39 AM

We have a right to bitch non-stop.

This franchise has earned it.

True....but i kinda like Mays and hopefully our 4th rd MLB draft pick from last year takes a step up in year 2 as well. WR we need an upgrade i agree. FS, WR and OL worry me the most. Smith balled hard at the end of last year....we need guys who will get open and catch the ball when thrown right to them. Avery was hot and cold...Avery's drops cost us that 2nd Denver game and others.

Hammock Parties 04-22-2014 07:47 AM

Gonna go ahead and call my shot. Eric Fisher is a brokedick bust of the highest order. He'll go down as being worse Victor Riley.

yes I agree....the guy played through injuries that required off season surgery so that HAD to effect him. I look for Fisher to step up. Its true about the level of negativity here being very high....hopefully if the team improves this year that vibe changes a bit.

I'm sure you and others are rooting for his demise.

A sports hernia is not a debilitating injury.

If you can actually find proof that I said that I'll take a one month ban from CP.

I'll extend the same offer to you. Dumbass.

Hammock Parties 04-22-2014 08:33 AM

The only thing I ever said about Brodie Croyle was that he had some potential and looked good in a scrimmage.

Now get ****ed.

The hernia isn't what people are worried about

It's here somewhere in the archives. Not gonna waste my time looking. I'm sure many here remember it too. Don't want your petty cash.

OldSchool 04-22-2014 08:38 AM

Think about this though:

Fisher, Allen, Hudson, Johnson and Stephenson vs:

From Arizona: Calais Campbell, Washington (because they blitz him so damn much), Dockett, and Acho

From SF: A. Smith (if he's not suspended), J. Smith, Ray MacDonald, Ahmad Brooks

From St. Louis: Robert Quinn, Michael Brockers, Chris Long

The Seatle rotation.

From NYJ: Wilkerson and Richardson with anyone who lines up next to those two.

From Buffalo: Mario Williams, Kyle Williams, Marcel Dareus, and Jerry Hughes

I'm going to be concerned about our OL until I see them pass the first big test.

OldSchool 04-22-2014 08:41 AM

If our OL can block SF and St. Louis and not allow more than 1 or 2 sacks, I'll be a lot less worried.

I wrote an article that involved a lot of wordy praise about a good scrimmage he had. That's all.

Eat me.

RunKC 04-22-2014 08:59 AM

So Fisher found out he had a hernia the week of our playoff game. That must be why he was a healthy scratch.
