What is wrong with you Fataphobes? They can't help that their fat. You should be more accepting.

Right, wrong or indifferent Barkley calls it like he sees it and that's what I like about him.
|
I find fat people unappealing to look at like the next guy. However, data suggests being overweight isn't nearly the medical problem some make it out to be. Now being morbidly obese would be, but a beer gut isn't going to harm your life expectancy or drive up your bills.

"Making slurs about body size is just as offensive as making comments about body color," spokesperson Peggy Howell tells TMZ Sports
Well, accept being able to control one of those things. Is it offensive to tell people that don't bathe that they smell like shit? |
BREAKING NEWS: Charles Barkley is fat.
|
Give me a ****ing break. Those fat ****ers are pathetic. Guess what, I'm fat and it sucks. But I made myself fat because of unhealthy eating and lack of exercise. I don't like being fat, so I'm doing something about it with proper diet and exercise.
Don't be a fat piece of shit, then bitch and cry because your feelings are hurt because somebody said fat bitches are not sexy. Guess what fat bitches?! You're not ****ing attractive! Either change it, or accept it and stfu. |

The only acceptable excuse in my opinio, is that a physical handicap or a mental handicap prevents one from having that choice. |
It's always the lazy fatties who got issues. You don't hear no Sumo wrestler bitching at Sir Charles.

Not everybody can just "change it". |
I was getting chubby after the military and said nope, screw that and changed my habits. Most fat people lack discipline in many aspects, and the evidence of this lack of discipline is on prominent display. I also live in SA, and fat people waddle in my way everyday. More fat chicks than skinny ones.

How are Churros suppose to be accepted as a household snack with this kind of bigotry? Trying to associate Churros with fat people is offensive. |

With no medical background to back up my claim, I think most people with thyroid issues use it as a crutch. I knew a girl back in the day that had a thyroid condition. She played baseball to remain fit but admitted if she stopped being active she'd blow up. She was one of the hottest chicks I knew. |
How much ****ing free time does someone need to dream up and found a National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance?
This country is dead. We just don't know it yet. /walkenvoice |

First of all, we have more seniors now than at any point in history. A byproduct of modern medicine, combined with "taking care of yourself", is living much longer than any other point in history. The longer people live, the more they raise the cost of healthcare because at some point, no amount of good, clean living is going to keep your body from breaking down. Furthermore, we're finding out now that many of the behaviors that even "health nuts" engage in are potentially damaging to your health. Low fat diets, incorrectly implemented, can actually LEAD to heart disease. Drinking water containing the byproducts of chlorination or bromination (all tap water and a good amount of "purified" water that is not distilled) has been shown to cause bladder cancer. Any number of medications that came to market in the last 20 years are now causing diseases and disorders that weren't anticipated at the time they were introduced, due to the lack of long term studies. It isn't as simple as saying "fat people are a drain on the economy". |

1. Elderly people are not the people who are coming into the new Obamacare system and jacking up insurance rates. For the most part, they are still on medicare. 2. Sometimes bad things happen to people who take care of themselves and sometimes people put in a lot of effort at the wrong things and still get sick. That's all true, but, statistically, people who put in the effort to stay healthy are going to be a healthier population than people who don't put forth any effort. |

The list of complications with hypothyroidism is ridiculously long and goes way beyond just weight issues. The amount of thyroid disease in this country is absolutely startling. I have a feeling that the ultimate cause is likely the same as obesity and our epidemic of cancer - processing, preservation, and preparation of food rather than just straight overconsumption. |

Comparing obesity to skin color is one of the dumbest things I have ever read
Eating big macs and fries does not change the color of your skin While I don't think fat people should be made fun of for simply being fat, those that are fat and complain about persecution need to shut the **** up and eat a salad once in a while |
