Keep in mind, Royals were in 1st place all the way towards the last week of July in 2003. BUT, nobody expected them to be good that year. I remember at the All-Star break, they asked Peter Gammons if the Royals could keep it up, and had a chance to make the playoffs. He just gave a one word answer of "No", and then laughed, and started talking about something else.

LMAO I was kidding. Just glad the Royals are playing good ball. Nice when Hos starts hitting with guys on base and Country Breakfast stops grounding into double plays with guys in scoring position. but...
