Would also like us to get a dominant power player in the middle of our defense. Joe Mays is okay for now, but if you can get a safety that resembles a pollard or Kam chancellor, get him and watch this defense have success.
AJ Johnson from Tennessee looks like a guy who could be there in round 4.

They can go tackle if they want, since they'll actually need one in 2016. But considering they have all sorts of options at guard, I will seriously kill kccrow's hamster.

If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl, I'm totally cool if they take a guard with their 1st round pick.

My opinion, yes he was. We went from a guard rated at about 60 to a guard rated around 63 in the league by PFF. My eyeball rating, we went from dog shit to dog shit. Dog shit is getting us by. In the end, both suck ****ing ass. Both suck so much ass that they both need to be replaced. I don't get the love affair for Jeff "Turnstile" Allen, he blows. Just because the guy taking his place now sucks even more, doesn't make Allen any good.

I'm sorry, but I don't use PFF as my Bible.

Jeff Allen is an ascending player. He and Stephenson spent six weeks (and their own money) training in Arizona this offseason with former All Pro Le Charles Bentley (and it's not even a contract year). McGlynn is a 29 year old veteran with zero upside.

I don't "love" Allen but I don't believe that he's reached his ceiling.

Allen should be a pretty decent zone RT.

That's not really what Reid runs, so he's a LG now.

The Chiefs have been running the ZBS exclusively since after the Bye week in 2013.

I think Reid was expecting him to have hist best season this year. Glad we drafted LDT as insurance.

Should be a nice battle between those two next year at camp.

One thing Pioli was always doing that seemed counterintuitive was drafting tackles to play guard and vice versa etc.

Draft a guard l, put him at guard.

A lot of college teams put their best lineman at lt even though their skillset translates better to the nfl as a guard.

Allen was projected as a better G than OT at the combine bc of his abilities. Same with Hudson being a better C than G.

I don't use PFF as my bible either, which is why I stated my eyeball test. Allen is shit, plain and simple shit. Never change my opinion on that. I don't expect to change yours either, just stating how I feel.

Will we have the money to snag Randall Cobb in FA?

He would be the *perfect* addition to this offense.

I don't see GB just letting him walk.

why not? it's not like ELITE quarterbacks really need that many quality receivers, right? :p

Going back to our CB's, I still don't feel that comfortable.

S. Smith is a good but we need to replace his contract in the next 2 years
Gaines looks very promising
Cooper is struggling
Owens sucks
Flemming is okay. Wouldn't mind having him as a #4 CB.

Would love for us to get a CB early. Trae Waynes will probably be gone, but PJ Williams has the traits we like and should be there. Alex Carter is another, but not sure about his speed.

OldSchool 11-12-2014 02:57 PM

I would take a shot on Marcus Peters in the 3rd round. #1 CB abilities and production but questionable attitude. He might thrive under Reid though, given Reid's history with players.

Emmanuel Sanders II.

I agree though, once i heard he was a FA, he immediately went to the top of the list of F/A wants.

Im sure the Chiefs will be putting in a call.

Can we afford Cobb if we're paying for Houston and Poe?

Maybe.

Hard to determine wth how they can stagger contracts and move money here or there.
