I'm not as impressed with SF lately, think SD can snag that one.

Manning and the Broncos are 15-1 vs the AFCW since his arrival, the lone loss being to SD in Denver (of all places). I think Denver plays well and takes that one, and after a grueling stretch of tough games - I think SD falls flat at the end in KC.

Yeah, I know you are guessing ... so are most everyone else. This seems to be the year of parity where anything can and does happen. I hear your logic re: Pats let down ... but, I've lost a lot of games in pickem contests with that kind of logic. But, I think the Pats beat SD. They have too much at stake and are a real good team. I will not be surprised if SD wins at Arrowhead.

Oh, no question, I think Denver wins out. I'm pulling for the Donks to lose coz I'm a bit jealous of what Elway has done. Yep, Manning will probably lose again in the S.B. but at least he has a legit chance of getting there. We don't even have a chance of being an average NFL team. Dorsey must have inherited a whole pile of smoke makers and mirrors and is trying to use them all up???? He is doing a very pitiful job!!!

I agree that SF isn't all that great, much of that thanks to the lacking play by Kaepernick. I think the Chargers will be 9-7 and a game behind the final wild card spot. Currently, I have the Chiefs finishing out at 10-6, beating the Cardinals, Raiders, and Chargers, but losing to the Steelers. All in all, I think the Chiefs are good for the 6th seed and a humiliating first round loss in Indianapolis again.

A whole dozen out of 2^64? Wow. I recommend looking at about the 5000 most likely scenarios and go from there. But you are basically correct that getting to 10-6 wiht the last loss coming against Arizona gets us to a 97% chance of making the playoffs.

Complete hogwash. If we get to 10 - 6 with a loss to the following teams the odds of us making the playoffs are:

Pittsburgh: 82%
Oakland: 95%
San Diego: 63%

All that said if we win in Arizona our odds of making the playoffs increase? Exactly!

The Bills will have to pull a rabbit out of their ass to not be 7-7 after the next two weeks. The Browns don't even know who their QB is.

I really was worried we would lose to OAK. I also expected us to beat MIA and SD after we started 0-2. I am not saying I have this great vision, but for whatever reason my gut has been right this year. I feel pretty confident that we will beat ARI and OAK. After that, who knows. This team seems to step up when it needs to and fall down when its about to reach a new height.

I think part of the issue is that we are used to the Chiefs beating poor teams and losing to good teams. Every year they get in the playoffs its when they beat every poor team during a weak schedule. Now they seem to be a team that can beat a good team and lose to a bad one. So I don't think you can just use a loss to a weak team to predict that they will lose to a good team. I think you need to look at the SF, MIA, and SD games to look at what to expect this Sunday as far as compete level goes.

I was thinking we could take a few flesh-lights out to the K, sit in the nose bleeds and watch Billy Butler and share nachos and soda's and other things, if you know what I mean.

Ultimately, our season is probably over due to the royal shit they had shoved down their throats against Tennessee and Oakland. I'll accept the Denver and San Francisco losses, they're just the better teams at this point. This season, whether we get a seed in the playoffs or not, is a result of the coaching staff not preparing this team against terrible opponents. I'll give it another season and see if they address the wide receiver and offensive line, but if it's the same bullshit we might as well start flying another banner...

I hear ya but I have KC going 2-2 and finishing 9-7 and missing the playoffs. This team has one more kick in the nuts to dish out this season and I think that happens the last game. KC will be positioned for a "WIN & You're IN" scenario against SD. I think SD beats KC at Arrowhead to keep KC out of the playoffs. BECAUSE CHIEFS!

The Bolts aren't going anywhere either as they too finish 9-7, but you know how misery loves company...Its gonna go down EXACTLY like it did in '99 when the Raiders came in week 17 and beat the Chiefs to keep them out of the playoffs. Again - BECAUSE CHIEFS!

Seen what CJ Anderson and LaTavius Murray did to the defense?

What makes you think LeVeon Bell won't match or exceed what they put up?

A) That is incorrect usage of the word "seen."
B) It is a team sport. Football games are not won by one player.

The one thing working in our favor is Todd Haley. It would be just like him to throw the ball 50 times against a 30th ranked rush defense.

And yet they've only given up 2 TD's on the ground.

Crazy

I myself am skeptical and doubtful

B) is complete bullshit. CP tells us all the time that games are won or lost by the player they loathe the most.

Chiefs don't deserve the playoffs after getting ass raped in Oakland.

Mojo Rising 12-03-2014 07:14 PM

Considering Philip Rivers is 30-6 in the month of December, history tells us that the Chargers will do better than your 0-4 or 1-3 prediction.

They have the Bieber curse on the Pats working for them this weekend.

I think thats very likely.

Chiefs will rebound against Arizona, which is actually the least important of their remaining games, but they will win this one and show Drew Stanton what they like to do to backup QBs. If Palmer was playing Chiefs loose, but hes not.

Pittsburgh is a hard one to pick but Im going with Pittsburgh for now.

Chiefs beat Oakland this time but cant put the drubbing on the Raiders everyone else is doing.

And as of right now I dont see the Chiefs beating San DIego. Going by their schedule San Diego could well be eliminated by this game, but, going by their schedule this is the best chance for a win they have left.

Easy 6 12-03-2014 07:24 PM

I'm honestly not even worried about the playoffs, because I dont see us getting there... these guys had it all but wrapped up and dropped it in very poor fashion two weeks in a row, its hard to be optimistic about a team lacking the killer instinct to take care of business in that scenario.

Bring on the draft and yet another offseason of eternally springing hope.

Considering how both teams were playing at the time, yeah it was very believable. If that game was played now it would probably look a lot different. This isn't the time to be playing GB and there really isn't any good time to go into Denver. Yes it's the NFL, but Buffalo surviving those two games are less likely than KC winning at home against a NE team that was struggling and just getting Gronk back.
