Sugar converts into fat faster than fat turns into fat. Due to the lack of fiber. There are many ways to lose weight, certainly...

Carbs convert to energy faster than fat converts to energy. Fat can be converted to energy but it is longer and a much more inefficient process.

Fiber is not digestible, that is why to get net carbs you take carbs and subtract the fiber.

Fiber does help you feel full though.

Fat doesn't contain fiber.....Fat is a macro-nutrient.

Fat too. Sits in the stomach longer.

I had a friend go to the hospital for a migraine at age 25 and die 3 months later from a brain tumor. He had just been accepted into medical school. I also knew a person, late 20's, healthy as could be to any observer, suffer a massive stroke. He may not die, but he'll never be the same.

All that unknown is the scary part.

Yep. That's really it.

I haven't been outside of the country. There are a million places I want to see and experience. I've never been canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, surfing, scuba diving, etc.

I've had some great times but if I died now, I'd be missing out on a lot of, not only life, but living.

And this might just be it, if so it won't matter you won't care at that point:p

And no matter what they say EVERYONE has some level of fear of death. And it comes out in different ways for different reasons.

Oh, man. No way. If I had kids Id be ten times worse.

Once you pop out a little princess or a chip off the ol' block you're no longer living for yourself so your survival is a lot more vital.

What makes matters the worst is that I'm a MILF hypochondriac. Not to mention pretty much everyone died of cancer on my mom's side and heart disease runs rampant on my dad's side. Apparently my biological grandfather died at 46 of some type of heart complications.

You've typed the world MILF so many times on your phone that it autocorrects to it? :)

PornHub mobile, playa!

Hah. J/k. No way. I'm not sure I've ever typed out MILF on my phone. Iphone autocorrect is just weird as all shit.

I was actually typing something the other day. I want to say it was meant to be "stupid" but i ****ed up a bit and it autocorrected to "Druids". I have literally never typed that in on my phone. Ever.

And I probably use some form of **** or ****ing in every other text, yet my phone will always try and turn it into duck or ducking. ****ing asshole Apple products..

My grandfather drank diet soda like his life depended on it. He added artificial sweeteners to his tea probably every day for decades.

He lived into his late 80s and died from a broken hip.

Aspartame doesn't cause cancer.

Not that I'm taking sides here, but this doesn't prove anything..

The excess calories come from the sugar in these drinks unless it's a cream based sugary drink then it comes from both.

I will never stop eating ice cream, never.

And neither does saying Aspartame causes cancer. Too many variables to control for in everyone's life to ever prove that it causes cancer.

It's ****ing bullshit to say aspartame is more dangerous than sugar.

Total. ****ing. Bullshit.

The mere fact that eating too much sugar makes you fat alone is enough reason to say that.

Silock 01-03-2015 03:22 PM

Lewdog holdin' it down.

I agree with everything he's said, btw.

lewdog 01-03-2015 03:35 PM

Just saw an Applebee's commercial for the "Pub Diet."

But you're right, I'm sure it's the sugar that's making people fat.

Those actually look like very decent dinner options. All under 600 calories.

Maybe so. I'm just saying your personal anecdote doesn't mean a whole lot.

I'm sure many people on this board have known 30+ year cigarette smokers that have seen their 80s. Doesn't mean cigs don't cause cancer.

What? I asked a question. I made no form of assertion. Do... do you know the difference?

Food companies have responded to a degree from that. After that others can choose to act based on that or not.

I was sincerely asking what you were advocating, if anything. You responded by neg repping me and posting all of this bullshit. Over and over I try to engage you and EVERY TIME you play the victim card. I was actually genuinely curious what you would advocate as any type of solution, but instead you just assumed I was disparaging you. Why? Insecure much? Get off the ****ing cross and start talking to people rather than at them.

Corny syrup is even worse and that's due to govt policies that it's in so many many things. No it's not the same as in it's just another calorie it metabolizes differently.

Did we have a conversation I missed? When did I call you a libertarian? All I asked is what you were advocating. I should have known better than to ask your opinion, because you even turn THAT into persecution. Jesus.

I dunno. You've made at least six assumptions while I asked a question which inferred nothing. You, like usual, went paranoid victim complex on me. I don't even know what the **** you're talking about.

America is incredibly obese. Doesn't that indicate there is a lack of responsibility being taken by the public where their diet is concerned? This question wasn't about YOU dumbass. I was asking your opinion and I assure you it's a mistake I'll never make again. This is why most folks on this forum tend to prefer mocking you over engaging you.

IMO. Some here don't agree with that.

They don't agree because there is overwhelming scientific evidence that they're safe.
