Teriyaki is my go-to grilling sauce, not sure soy would work quite the same.

You makes teriyaki from soy sauce.

soy sauce + mirin + brown sugar + ginger + garlic = teriyaki.

I wasn't even aware that they still existed.

Ah, I get what you guys are saying. If I picked soy sauce I'd have that and still be able to make teriyaki. Only thing is I never use soy sauce by itself.

That is what I am saying. Choose soy sauce are you condiment and you can use it to make teriyaki sauce.

Plus it is the basis for other things like Sweet & Sour, hoisin sauce, and peanut sauce.

Heat it up in a sauce pan. Add stone ground mustard. Blend in brown sugar and ground clove. If needed add vinegar and dill to taste. Use enough of each ingredient to get a perfect balance of salty/sweet/tart/spicy. Put it on your pork.

Not my kind of thing. I prefer uncomplicated.

Finally someone said BBQ sauce. MW for me only on tuna, turkey and potato salad.

I remember every Thanksgiving get to gether my aunt brought that apple salad thingy with MW in it. I hated that stuff but mom said to eat it so not to hurt your aunts feelings.

They had that burger w/ the cheese sauce and mushrooms - it was like a mushroom and swiss from Hardees - only it was like cheez whiz and mushrooms in Perkin's case. LOL

Miracle whip for tuna salad and chicken salad. Mayo for everything else.

Grew up in a Miracle Whip household, but I have never purchased it or mayonnaise. I'm a mustard man.

My dad doesn't like mayo or MW so we rarely had it at home growing up (pretty much only for potato salad). I thought it made burgers/sandwiches greasy so always ordered without mayo (still do).

My wife grew up with MW so that is what's in our house. I rarely eat it though as I don't have sandwiches very often. If I need some mayo type product though, I choose MW as it is considerably less fatty.

As for other condiments: ketchup (for fries only), spicy brown mustard, Kraft FF 1000 Island (amazing for tater tots and taco salads), soy sauce, Golden Mountain sauce and Thai peanut sauce.
