petegz28 04-27-2015 05:05 PM

Vargas gets through this inning without blowing the lead and it will be the longest he has held a league all season

Al Bundy 04-27-2015 05:07 PM

There is a reason the Indians are 6-11.. their defense is awful.

petegz28 04-27-2015 05:09 PM

0-2 to 3-2 on Avilles...and he walked him...again

KCUnited 04-27-2015 05:09 PM

Lewdog owns a sweet Moose jersey, Moose delivers.

Lewdog starts his first game thread of the year, Chiefsplanet fails.

LMAO

Your a God just like I said.

I'm enjoying all this "boring" baseball. It's nice to win and not be on edge like we were against the A's and Sox.

Good thing Lewdog had faith tonight, the will to post a game thread before midnight and had no sand in his vagina.

Just caught the eighth and ninth innings and saw the Moose highlights. Awesome to see him have that night. Fangraphs had an article on him last week.

Prison Bitch 04-27-2015 07:39 PM

Wade threw that called 3rd on the second out and just turned all cocky ass back to 2nd base before the call was even made. Awesome

I hate playing Cleve. Their douche manager makes sooooooo many pitching changes the games take forever. Hey Tito: you weren't winning tonight. Let it go

It felt like Kluber was intentionally delaying a lot, too, makin batters wait and call time out and what not. Isn't there supposed to be a pitch clock now?

There really needs to be with these guys. And taking every freaking borderline pitch for 7 innings. They can't hit so they prayed for walks - which they got - and still ended up with 2 runs.

SAUTO 04-27-2015 07:58 PM

It's been really impressive. He's doing opposite field consistently. No idea how a player can change that much in hitting from last year to this year but it's a whole different approach. Let's hope it stays.

It caught me off guard that tonight's game started at 6 PM. Apparently Cleveland is experimenting this year was a handful of 6 PM starts. I'm sure it does help on school nights, but it might make it tough for people who work until 5:30 or 6.

Plus it was in the 40s. Be curious to see how the experiment goes, and if it catches on anywhere else.

Snapplez 04-27-2015 08:19 PM

The stream I was watchin was of the Indians announcers. They made sure to bring up that the Royals and Indians weren't all that far off from each other defensively. Love that they mentioned that as error after error piled up and we dominated.

GloryDayz 04-27-2015 08:33 PM

I heard that in HS & college, he used all fields often. That he didn't start to becoming a pull hitter until the HR numbers were rolling in his head by management. He started using it some in the playoffs and went home in the off season worked on it himself. He hit the batting cages and worked on his mechanics of hands behind the ball and came to ST and told Ned & Dave he wanted to use all fields again, not just a pull hitter.

I'm impressed with his work ethic and the ability in one off season to go back to basics so quick, his plate discipline is great.

What a foolish statement if they really said something that dumb

Saul Good 04-27-2015 08:55 PM

2 runs on four hits for the Indians...still 10 pages of Pete bitching about Vargas while he got the win against the reigning Cy Young winner.

KChiefs1 04-27-2015 09:07 PM

Detroit up 5-3

okcchief 04-27-2015 09:08 PM

2-2 on this road trip seems a little better beating Kluber and Sale. Those other 2 games they just let get away.

KChiefs1 04-27-2015 09:21 PM

Detroit up 5-4

KChiefs1 04-27-2015 09:22 PM

Soria in to close.

I enjoyed reading, for the second straight week, a Fantasy-geared article suggesting that owners should sit Moose because he's not going to have a good week hitting.

To quote Josh Vernier,

He wouldn't bring back a damn thing. But, he's pitching lights out for us this year which is all I care about

TomBarndtsTwin 04-27-2015 11:42 PM

If Madson continues to pitch the way he has, he could certainly bring a solid prospect near the trade deadline.

That being said, you're the Royals, the defending AL Champs and you're now competing for championships. No reason to trade him. With a bullpen of Hoch, Madson, Frasor, Herrera, Davis & Holland, the opposition literally has almost zero chance from inning 6 on. All your starters have to do is give you 5 solid innings and then you can put it on cruise control.

Takes so much pressure off the starters. What a luxury to have.

Chromatic 04-28-2015 12:44 AM

Thug life.

Great Expectations 04-28-2015 05:54 AM

Yes, but the Royals are going to have to rely on their farm system to sustain success. If you have a plethora of relief guys and an opportunity for continued success I think you take that opportunity. I wouldn't advocate to trade anyone close to a core player. If you have excess pieces you have to consider it.

tomahawk kid 04-28-2015 06:34 AM

Jon Lovitz pitched a helluva game last night, outside of that two run bomb.

Thank the lord he's smarter than Ned Foxworthy.
