Darn

Hootie 07-17-2015 01:03 PM

you know Young is going to give up bombs ...

C3HIEF3S 07-17-2015 01:03 PM

It's what happens when you go down in the count so ****ing much.

KChiefs1 07-17-2015 01:04 PM

Gordo catches that.

MeatRock 07-17-2015 01:04 PM

I think Gordo could have got that. Dyson's too ****ing short.

Well when you are consistently going 3-0 to hitters...yeah

And that's why Hosmer choking not once but twice is biting our ass at the moment

GloryDayz 07-17-2015 01:06 PM

The Sox are gaming!

duncan_idaho 07-17-2015 01:12 PM

Let's not start referring to failing to get a hit with a runner on 2B as "choking."

If the runners were on third and he failed to get either home, then maybe you can gripe about it. But when you're talking about guys who don't score unless you get a hit... pretty silly and short-fused to complain about going 0-2 in a spot like that.

petegz28 07-17-2015 01:12 PM

Young really having some problems today...too many ****ing walks

Hootie 07-17-2015 01:12 PM

When you strike out and pop up on the infield in that situation I am calling it a choke..be different if he hit it hard at someone or something

petegz28 07-17-2015 01:15 PM

whew..way to pitch out of it....let's get some runs now

Hard to call anything a choke when .333 is pretty damned good overall. Clutch? No.

KCUnited 07-17-2015 01:15 PM

Young battles back to get out of the inning.

Ceej 07-17-2015 01:15 PM

Melky needs to get back on them PEDs.

I think "lack of execution" is a better, more accurate way of putting it.

C3HIEF3S 07-17-2015 01:16 PM

Way to bounce back there, CY.

call it what you will, it all ends up with the same result

KCUnited 07-17-2015 01:17 PM

What's disappointing is he struck out on a shoulder high pitch on his first ab. Took a pitch that literally hit the center of the pitch trax, and popped out on the next pitch his 2nd ab. I don't know about choking, but it was 2 shit abs.

C3HIEF3S 07-17-2015 01:18 PM

Both teams have missed opportunities so far.
It's almost like we're watching a baseball game.

petegz28 07-17-2015 01:20 PM

damn rios...you slow ****....please can we just put Orland and Dyson in?

baitism 07-17-2015 01:21 PM

Lazy ass Rios.

Really? And here I thought I was watching golf.

Three7s 07-17-2015 01:21 PM

For Rios being a 20/20 guy at one point, he sure is slow.

Hootie 07-17-2015 01:23 PM

Rios always stole bases because he's quick, not fast. It's all about how you read the move and react. Rios was never a speed demon, but don't take this as me excusing Rios ... I ****ing hate him

Three7s 07-17-2015 01:27 PM

Lucky LaRoche didn't get under that a little. It was a meatball down the middle.

petegz28 07-17-2015 01:27 PM

where was that one?

petegz28 07-17-2015 01:28 PM

gee look at that, another ****ing walk......

C3HIEF3S 07-17-2015 01:28 PM

Well I am glad I am not the only one who has ever taken a bite out of the bottom of a plastic water bottle. Welcome to the club, Gordo.

petegz28 07-17-2015 01:29 PM

young will do good to get through 5....not sure I'd pitch him after that anyway with the way he is throwing today

C3HIEF3S 07-17-2015 01:31 PM

Fortunately, we are facing one of the worst offenses in baseball.

petegz28 07-17-2015 01:31 PM

laboring is how i would describe Young's outing today.....effective but laboring

C3HIEF3S 07-17-2015 01:37 PM

I hope the Royals have figured out that he's trying to strike everyone out with high fastballs..

baitism 07-17-2015 01:37 PM

Moose needs to figure it out.

petegz28 07-17-2015 01:38 PM

Moose just up there hacking...swinging at pitches no where near the zone

dlphg9 07-17-2015 01:38 PM

Holy shit. How do people do read these threads with Pete menstruating all over the place.

LMAO guess it was all part of the plan

KCUnited 07-17-2015 01:40 PM

Great ab by Moose, forced him to make that mistake.

C3HIEF3S 07-17-2015 01:40 PM

Someone tell me again how Moose needs to get it together?

C3HIEF3S 07-17-2015 01:41 PM

That was just a beautiful AB. Love seeing him take one to center, too.

Mama Hip Rockets 07-17-2015 01:41 PM

Decent AB by Moustakas.

Saul Good 07-17-2015 01:41 PM

Moose had never had an at bat that good before this year in his entire career.

Uh, the outcome was great but you can't call that a beautiful AB. He swung at 7 pitches out of the zone and managed to foul them off. Tough AB, battled but typically not what you'd want I suspect

Mama Hip Rockets 07-17-2015 01:43 PM

Why did Cain get out? I'm confused.

petegz28 07-17-2015 01:48 PM

way to hold them down, Chris.....

For his $11 million salary, I would have thought we could get a much better outfielder and cement the "best OF in baseball" label.

GloryDayz 07-17-2015 01:51 PM

You can always count on at least 1-2 bombs per start.

petegz28 07-17-2015 01:53 PM

Hosmer didn't get much of a read on that.....or he scores easy

A flyball pitcher pitching in a hitters park on a 99 degree summer day. Not surprising.

petegz28 07-17-2015 01:53 PM

Okay, Omar....man on 3rd, 0 outs...do something good

petegz28 07-17-2015 01:54 PM

well. I'll take the run but that was the least desirable way.....3-2

KCUnited 07-17-2015 01:55 PM

Oh shit!

C3HIEF3S 07-17-2015 01:55 PM

Is that "desirable" enough for you, Pete?

Mama Hip Rockets 07-17-2015 01:56 PM

Rios vs. Samardizjjaaa - 2 home runs
Rios vs. everyone else on Earth - 0 home runs

petegz28 07-17-2015 01:56 PM

hell just froze over

would have been nice had we had a runner on, yes? :thumb:

The White Sox are saying the same thing, I bet. Had how many free baserunners and only managed 2 solo shots. I'll take it.

His first one was against Kyle Drabek. I checked it.

C3HIEF3S 07-17-2015 01:59 PM

We need Scott Downs back

cabletech94 07-17-2015 01:59 PM

goooooooooo royals!!!! rios is back!!!!!!! (I can't believe I typed that)

C3HIEF3S 07-17-2015 02:00 PM

I like it, Ned.
2 run lead with Madson, Herrera, Davis, Holland

siberian khatru 07-17-2015 02:00 PM

Ned managing like it's the playoffs

Hootie 07-17-2015 02:01 PM

maybe that will help Rios figure things out

it surely would be nice

(though, I hope eventually Ned starts going the 'defensive replacement route' and starts taking his atrocious defense out a la Aoki later in the year)

petegz28 07-17-2015 02:03 PM

petegz28 07-17-2015 02:05 PM

eDave 07-17-2015 02:05 PM

That's a big oot
