Between Maclin's obvious high character as evidenced in the other thread, and the intense amount of butt hurt he has generated among fantasy-tards, I can easily dub him my new favorite Chief.

That Marlin is a slippery one....

It's one of the reasons that I don't play Fantasy Football anymore. I can't stand cheering for players on teams that I can't stand.
|
I just popped a huge boner reading this. Maclin is now my favorite Chief.

Before Reid and Dorsey The Chiefs were so miserable I really can't blame the person. Fantasy football was their only reason to care at that point |
I wonder is Jeremy marlin would approve of the name of my 14 man FFB team after getting stuck with Marshawn lynch at pick 5. Beast infection.
I am considering. "What would Jeremy marlin do" for the next team. |

I stand behind him in that. **** fantasy football.

I can understand the allure of playing fantasy football but I never could root for anyone other than a Chiefs player, under any circumstance. (Especially someone on a different AFCW team.) But that's just me and I don't feel one way or another about anyone else doing it. Hell, if you're having fun then go for it.

Your inability to get that kind of makes you a huge douchebag. Edit: I'm just ****ing with you on the last part. |
I have seen people at Arrowhead stadium in full Chiefs gear cheering for players on the other team and I know it's because of fantasy. I hope those people fall down the stairs.
I do play fantasy football and baseball but I never have Chiefs or Royals on my team and I would never cheer for my fantasy team vs the Chiefs/Royals. Also, **** Matthew Berry. |
It isn't hard to be a fan of your team and play fantasy football as well.
I will draft some Chiefs if they fit the need. I will draft divisional opponents if they fit the need. Fantasy football apparently finger-banged some of your kids, bufkin style. |

People also need to realize that Fantasy football is the MAIN reason NFL fans have become more knowledgable about the league as a whole and not just blind homers who only know about their own team. It impacts everything from fans watching preseason games to more and more people watching the draft. And it's pretty ****ing stupid for a guy who makes money playing a game to scold me for trying to make money playing a game... |
I'm liking this guy more and more. This is one of the reasons I stopped playing fantasy football. It killed my gameday enjoyment. I was so damn focused on my fantasy team I lost sight of MY favorite NFL team.

If I'm playing fanduel I know exactly why I should or shouldn't start a player vs. the Chiefs. And I think the Chiefs D will score daddy a lot of pts this year... |
Oddly enough ESPN has Maclin as a top 15-20 Fantasy WR this year.

Maclin knew he would suck this year under check down Charlie and the fat man.

*Not really. The Raiders have been, are and will most likely always be terribad. But look out for their fantasy players! |
Sorry, Mr. Maclin...Fantasy Football is the ONLY thing that makes this product watchable. The product on the field is horrible.
There is no clear definition of a catch for crying out loud....every call is questionable and up for interpretation and this league is over officiated. |

Maclin sucks now? Well that's news to me.
He's missed a game, so that obviously hurts his numbers a little but if you prorate his stats over 16 games, he'd be on pace for about 1,100 yards and 85 catches. That certainly doesn't suck. And even beyond the stats, I don't know how people can't see the impact he has on the offense. If !@#$ing Kelce could ever hold onto a ball, you'd see how many of those routes he's opened up over the middle. Moreover, the attention he gets absolutely makes it easier for the RBs to find space. He's been worth every penny this year. He's a perfect addition to the offense. |
It's because of this thread I drafted Maclin.
It's because of this thread that I am pissed off. |

612/9*16=1088 Health is a skill and missing a game obviously matters, but if you're looking at what he's doing on a per game basis, he's playing well. Moreover, it's not as though he's missed half the season either, he's just missed the single game (despite taking some brutal cheap shots this year) and when he's been in there, he's been an excellent weapon for us. On a per game basis, Amari Cooper's put up 16 game rates of 82 catches and 1175 yards. He's been very slightly more productive than Maclin game in, game out (fewer catches/gm, more yards) and has not missed a game so that's a mark in his favor. Per game, they've been about equally productive. Cooper's numbers are better due to having the extra game played. That's the difference between a guy that's had a very good season (Cooper) and a guy that's 'sucked'? You're talking out your ass here. Maclin's been a very good player for the Chiefs. He's been everything we could've asked for. |
Its hilarious to me that Alex Smith's teammates are always publicly downplaying statistics. I bet you position players who actually produce at average to above average levels rarely bitch about fantasy football.

Worth every penny, brah. Quite frankly, his game logs outside a lot of garbage time against Green Bay and Cincy are...well...par for the course with our QB. Sad. This guy could ruin Jerry Rice. http://i.imgur.com/6sSVED2.jpg |
Only place i have ever seen that talks MORE shit about their own team and players than they do their rivals.

Because this is exactly the bullshit I said you'd pull. Piss and moan and bitch and just generally be a ****stain all season, then if the Chiefs start winning you just hop on the bandwagon and say "I'm glad I was wrong, let's all just be friends now!" **** you, go sit in the corner. By all rights you should be banned and it has nothing to do with not wanting to deal with your trolling. It's because you shouldn't be allowed to participate in any revelry around here. |
