I also think that it's time to start Conley after the bye.

When you have West taking 35% of plays plus maclin/kelce as your reliable guys hauling in 70% of their targets that puts Conley back on rookie duty as your 4th-6th option amongst guys like DAT, Wilson, and the tight ends. He'll get his chances here and there but year 2 is where you really find out what he's got. He's a 5 target per game guy until he develops further, which isn't a knock on him.

The Chiefs swept SD last year and they were a much better team.

You think this year's team with no Charles is better than the team that beat Seattle and New England last year?

Stick to Buffy. You're out of your wheelhouse.

I haven't seen any Raiders games this year. Are they a legitimate above-.500 team or have they been playing patsies?

They are a solid team. Certainly capable of winning a WC spot. I'd say based on the way both teams have played so far this year, KC sweeping them would go against Vegas odds.

I kind of liked them better as a joke franchise.

They've beaten three 2-5 teams and a 4-2 team that lost their starting QB early in the game against them today.

IMO, the jury is still out.

I don't either, unless something weird happens. The best KC has done under Reid is 3-3 in the Division and has never beaten Denver. The only teams the Chiefs have beaten this season are a terrible Houston team, a Pittsburgh team with a 3rd string QB, and a Detroit team that just might be the worst team in the NFL. They're not going anywhere. I'll be surprised if they're able to overtake Oakland and finish 2nd in the division, much less overtake them for a WC spot. But stranger things have happened I suppose but never in a good way for the Chiefs.

I agree. I'll be surprised if KC sweeps them.

Would have to agree. When we play them, I would hope our experience beats their lack of. They have some young talent that can go off for big performances

Remember when we tried to stop Tiki Barber from running against us that one time?

I was at that game. It was a delight.

Oakland isn't winning at Arrowhead this year, especially in late December, if the team continues to perform like it has the past two weeks.

Oakland has a real good football team that's getting better and better....

It's a long way till December but I think they would be the favorite right now.

Are you really going to talk about quality of wins in this thread?

Sannyasi 11-01-2015 11:44 PM

Chiefs have a chance because of how bad teams are in general in the NFL right now, however if they make it it will only be as a team that gets easily bumped in the first round.

Why does the thread have any bearing on the truth?

If we played the Colts or Bengals I could see a win.

Those teams like to play down in big games...

So the Chiefs, who have beaten no one, are supposed to sweep the Raiders who have beaten no one, based on the fact that the Raiders have beaten no one.

Hell, the entire premise of this thread is based on the Chiefs falling assbackwards into the playoffs by beating a bunch of weak teams. But don't take the Raiders seriously because reasons.

At this point the Raiders worry me more than the Chargers...

For some reason the forces of the universe have decided that we don't deserve a playoff win until we beat the Colts...

O.city 11-03-2015 10:24 AM

I think both the wild card spots are wide open. The jets don't have a qb and have to play in a very physical division. The dolphins are a mystery to me. The steelers are without bell foe the year (chiefs without Charles too).

The Raiders are positioned well. We get them 2 times so it's in our hands or their hands to beat each other out.

I think the biggest thing for the chiefs is to get to .500 to have a chance.

The Jets did us a HUGE favor. And as good as Pitt's offense is their D is every bit as bad.

Outside of the DEN game our schedule is as easy as any gets the last 8 weeks...

Yeah, we pretty much ****ed ourselves with the bears and bronco games (vikings game too) so I don't really feel we deserve a playoff spot, but for the sake of talking....

10-6 gets the 5 seed for sure. 9-7 likely gets you in and 8-8 gives you a chance.

Our whole season would have been different if we hadn't stepped on our d!cks vs. Denver.

We'd have one more AFC win, one more DIV win, and NFC losses don't hurt us in tie breakers nearly as much...

Yep. And now the Donx get to end our season twice in the same season. It's just inconceivable how one franchise can get the better of another franchise for so long...

Franchise QB maybe???

Den has won the division with a QB they traded for, one they signed as a FA, and two they drafted...
