If a car of four people can't afford ten bucks each to park then you all need to get better jobs.

"We're raising prices to make it easier for you"
GFY, Mark. Parking at Arrowhead wasn't an issue until you stuck your nose into it. |
The Royals have shoved it up the Chiefs ass as far as popularity goes. It might work this year but another 4-12 season should just about do the franchise in.
|
I don't care that much about the prices. Prices rise. It's just a fact of life.
But it has been a worse experience for several years now. Slower to get in, slower to get out. More hassle on where you can park, splitting up long time friends. And now, for the reward for buying a premium parking pass, I may have to park out in the boonies if I don't get there early enough. |
Yeah, let me just drive out to fuggin Arrowhead to avoid the $5 fee.
|
Seems like when they say "improve the fan experience" it means sending out the gestapo to hassle a bunch of grown adults about staying within the lines.

Again, paying for a Red pass vs paying at the gate is a savings of $82.50 assuming you buy online and go to all 10 home games -2 of which are preseason. However, if you don't give a shit about preseason and pay at the gate eight times it costs you $320 whereas the pass for ten games is $317.50 with convenience fee included... The red pass doesn't guarantee you any better of a parking location considering cash payers have access to everything not Gold or Platinum. Assuming they don't raise the fee on a game by game basis and you don't give a shit about going to preseason games, just pay at the gate.. |

I think Mark does outstanding work.

aslong as I can drink my busch light in our 2 combined tents with all the food and feexin's 3 hours before the game. I don't care. If you dont allow me of that privilege, there will be hell to pay
|
Watching from home is best anyways.
|
I will never, ever pay for parking at Arrowhead ever again.
Just gonna get a drop off/pick up at the Taco Bell and be done with it. |

Guarantee they start doing this sooner rather than later. Actually surprised they haven't already. The so-called "dynamic pricing" model is a crock of shit. In my experiences, the prices never seem to drop for events that have low demand, yet they sky-rocket for big games. Completely one-sided. |

A Taco Bell being the drop off spot for the sports complex might be the saddest thing ever.

It seems like the best solution would be for everyone to carpool to the game in taxis or ubers, and then have the city sell off the parking lots for office and residential development.
|
Pretty soon the Chiefs will have their "home games" played in Madrid, Moscow, Beijing, Sydney, Buenos Aires, Cape Town, Stockholm, and Yellowknife....so this whole "parking issue" will be a moot point.

One thing that makes the Chiefs a bit different than many teams is not only that they control all the parking around the stadium, they control the access to to those lots, and there's no competition. The Cowboys Stadium is at least in a busy entertainment district, and there are public streets, shopping areas, restaurants, all around the stadium. Yeah it still costs a lot of money... but with the Chiefs they have all the power. |

bet they start towing/ticketing the cars that park outside the gates on Manchester Trafficway side too...

For $40 you can buy a 60-inch TV and a 20-ounce Pibb Extra.

Coming to the game Monday night!
Random question- I have platinum parking pass for lot E. The problem is I wasn't planning on driving to game as I am flying up from Montana(was going to uber) Does anyone know if Uber would drop you off in a lot? Or do they have to use the designated drop off? Is that lot good enough lot to where a fellow chiefs fan would want to pick us up from hotel to use the pass? Thanks |

Also, it's a cluster getting an Uber after, so prepare for a long wait and a lot of confusion finding your ride. Getting to Arrowhead without renting a car is one of my biggest complaints about it. It just plain sucks. |
If you have a Platinum Parking Pass, it might be worth your time and the money to rent a car and go. You'll be parked right next to the stadium.
|
I was a little confused by your last question, but are you asking if someone at CP would be willing to pick you up/drop you off in exchange for free parking? If so, I'd be willing to branch this out into its own thread for you to at least see if you'd get any takers.
|
Ya I do have a platinum pass. I have heard exactly what you mentioned that leaving after the game is a disaster!
Would totally take a ride to/from the game and we could use my pass if anyone would be interested in that. Staying at Hotel Phillips if their are any takers! |
