These guys can just flat hit. These aren't middle of the plate pitches, and they're hitting them to the wall.

I bet none of them would pass a piss test, either. Especially Pedroia.

Why Not? 08-27-2016 06:04 PM

Could have been worse. Going to need a few scoreless innings at some point, however.

Deberg_1990 08-27-2016 06:04 PM

Billy Butler vs Fat Papi to 1st base. Who wins?

baitism 08-27-2016 06:05 PM

Thankfully, Price doesn't seem to have his best stuff, either.

Jerok 08-27-2016 06:07 PM

At least we are hitting Price a bit too

I think Billy would beat him, but I wouldn't call that a WIN.

baitism 08-27-2016 06:07 PM

Orlando and Cuthbert are giving us nothing.

Not sure. We'd all die of old age watching.

baitism 08-27-2016 06:10 PM

You would think Cain was forty the way he plays.

Ron Swanson 08-27-2016 06:15 PM

Come on Morales, make him pay.

Meatloaf 08-27-2016 06:16 PM

KM looks a little heavy to me. Has he stuck on some additional weight this year?

SPchief 08-27-2016 06:17 PM

Well the good news is that we're in for a nice quick 4 hour game

Yup. Game is moving at galacial speed.

Deberg_1990 08-27-2016 06:18 PM

Isn't this what we did last year in the playoffs against Price? Worked his pitch count until he got tired?

baitism 08-27-2016 06:19 PM

I just don't have any confidence in Morales doing anything positive. At least we have Price's pitch count up.

Morales pretty much sucks this year. He had a nice run for two weeks, otherwise pure shit.

Jerok 08-27-2016 06:26 PM

Nah morales is gonna get a big hit this game, we are scaring David price and Duffy is calling down

Dartgod 08-27-2016 06:27 PM

Nice inning Duffy. Now lets tie this thing up.

One more thing. Whether we win this game or not, I don't want to see Pedroia on base the rest of the night.

Every game in Boston seems to take forever.

They always take a lot of pitches, get a lot of hits. Pitchers seem to slow down like Duffy has tonight because every batter is a grind.

That's our minus defensive first baseman again.

ChiTown 08-27-2016 06:42 PM

With Boston, if your control is off just a little bit, you will pay. Duffy isn't off by much, but with this group, it doesn't take much. They make you throw strikes, and when you do, it better not be covering much of the plate.

That Boston lineup is pretty amazing

Ron Swanson 08-27-2016 06:45 PM

right down the middle

ChiTown 08-27-2016 06:45 PM

Right over the middle of the plate to a guy that is killing you right now. That was an AWFUL pitch. FFS, Duffy

Meatloaf 08-27-2016 06:45 PM

I think it's time for the baseball to meet Mr Pedroia's hip. He's digging in way too deep. Gotta loosen him up a bit.

Dartgod 08-27-2016 06:45 PM

Just ****ing walk Pedroia next time. Or hit him. I don't care.

Al Bundy 08-27-2016 06:48 PM

This will extinguish any talk of a cy young for Duffy.

ChiTown 08-27-2016 06:51 PM

atta boy, Cutty!

ChiTown 08-27-2016 06:54 PM

Cain is lost against Price. ****

Dartgod 08-27-2016 06:55 PM

Not feeling it tonight guys. We'll have to get the series win tomorrow.

Ron Swanson 08-27-2016 06:58 PM

Papi's last dose of PED's are wearing off.

siberian khatru 08-27-2016 06:59 PM

Dammit

ChiTown 08-27-2016 06:59 PM

FFS, pull him and put in Wang to finish the game. Duffy doesn't have it tonight.

Ron Swanson 08-27-2016 07:00 PM

Good lord, time to whip out the Wang.

Deberg_1990 08-27-2016 07:00 PM

Waiter,

Check please

eDave 08-27-2016 07:00 PM

The **** is Duffy smiling about?

KChiefs1 08-27-2016 07:00 PM

Holy shit!

They are bashing the hell out of him.

Bye bye Cy Young.

These are all pop-up outs at Kauffman, Salvies shot is gone everywhere

Al Bundy 08-27-2016 07:03 PM

Nice showing for Duffy showing TONS of "heart" tonight. Shit ass performance.

Jerok 08-27-2016 07:04 PM

Well, let's just try to avoid this stadium in the future.

And in the meantime, let's get 7 or 8 more runs. We got this.

No way, Duffy needs wear this one. Let him get hammered.

ChiTown 08-27-2016 07:06 PM

I'm out. Let's hope Ventura is focused and ready to go. We need to take the rubber match tomorrow

See ya tomorrow, boys!

Al Bundy 08-27-2016 07:07 PM

Ohh well, gotta get 'em tomorrow. Don't burn any bullpen in this loss, Duffy legitimately gave them no chance early, time for him to go all 8.

Could you try to not be a ****ing reerun just once this season?

Jerok 08-27-2016 07:16 PM

At least cleaveland is losing as well as the orioles lost, and seattle and detriot losing. Good day to make up ground but at least we don't lose much!

Duffy is one of the biggest reasons the Royals are in the playoff hunt. Everyone has a bad game.

Al Bundy 08-27-2016 07:18 PM

Damn Duffy's "effort" bumped his ERA up above 3... lol He got bombed. He should still be out there.

You don't leave your best pitcher out there when he's having an off night just to make some dumb ****ing point.

tk13 08-27-2016 07:25 PM

Might as well just put Pedroia on 1st base and save yourself the pitches.

bsroyals54 08-27-2016 07:25 PM

One of the best offenses of all time, tip your cap to these ****s

Not say that one way or the other. I was referencing your comments about Duffy's "heart" and "effort", you mouth breather.

Their pitching hasn't been great. Porcello is having a monster year, but Price and Buchholz aren't. Their bullpen isn't awful, but hasn't been flawless either. Tazawa and Uehara haven't been great, and the closer Kimbrel's nasty but his ERA is like 3-something instead of the usual 2 or under. He was probably the best closer in the league for 4 solid years with the Braves. If the big names they had on their pitching staff were pitching at their peak this team would probably be rivaling the Cubs.

bsroyals54 08-27-2016 07:34 PM

How do the redsox have so much money to pay all these ****ing players

bsroyals54 08-27-2016 07:38 PM

Nvm they are the 3rd highest payroll :/

Al Bundy 08-27-2016 08:15 PM

Great effort tonight Duffy. That should end any talk about him being in the cy young discussion. Gotta get 'em tomorrow.

And if you are getting squeezed early you can't start trying to catch more of the plate.

They aren't as good as they seem. They take advantage of that tiny left field better than their opponents. Hit a lazy pop fly and get a double. It's so annoying. They have scored 100 more runs at home than they have on the road.
