Saints have scored points but look at who they've played:
Oakland-24th in points allowed SD-23rd in points allowed Atlanta-26th in points allowed Panthers-29th in points allowed Giants are the only semi-good defense they've played (14th in points allowed) and they could only score 13 on them. |

I'm not calling anything. Nothing would surprise me. Maybe our offense explodes. Maybe the Saints turn it over 6 times. Maybe we lose 63-7 As for the Raiders win, Carr was missing some receivers but not any for big gainers. The raiders got beat down in Oakland, pure and simple. It was an excellent win |

If we can ground and pound like we did the second half of the Faders game- Chiefs will win this one. We keep Brees off the field and control the clock. It also means we are finishing drives for TD's-hopefully Ware and JC will run several in. When we can run it helps our weak ass passing game and opens thing up for Kelce, Conley, and Maclin down the field. When we can't run the ball-Andy goes into a prevent offense type horizontal attack that chews up the clock and ends in punts. Run the ball Andy-you have the best studs in the NFL to carry the rock. |

FYI fact, the Saints have averaged 31 points per game the Chiefs have averaged 22. The defense needs to step up big time Sunday.

Saints just listed LB Stephone Anthony as Out. He joins LB Dan Ellerbee as OUT vs. the Chiefs on Sunday.
DE Paul Kruger is Questionable with a back problem. LT Teron Armstead is Questionable with a knee problem. LG Andrus Peat is Out with a groin problem. Left side of their offensive line is out and the linebacking crew is in shambles. |
Chiefs have no excuses not to destroy NO. Saints are the LA Lakers of football, gave Brees a huge contract extension to stay and put butts in seats (Kobe Bryant anyone?) and that's all they are. Patchwork of shotty offense and defensive lines.

when you get to it, the way beat the saints is to make them run

The Saints run game sucks. Only Mark Ingram is seeing action and does have 272 yards on the season. They will run Cooks on end arounds, but rarely.
But they are passing the ball all over the place. (As usual.) I'm a little worried about the Brandon Cooks matchup on our defensive backs to be honest. I guess this is really the game that the Chris Jones fans are looking forward to as the left side of the Saints offensive line is either out or hobbled. Saints haven't really been able to put pressure on an opposing QB other than by right defensive tackle Nick Fairly (3.5 sacks in 2016) and right defensive end Cameron Jordan (2.5 sacks in 2016). Other than LB Craig Robertson (33 tackles on the season), they aren't really stopping anyone. Fisher will have to play strong and whoever starts at RG is going to have to be stout. As Easy said, I'd like to see the Chiefs run it down their throats right from the start. That would put pressure on Fairly and Jordan and work their depleted LB corps. I'm also looking for a lot of screens to the right to move the ball away from their interior and take advantage of their weak edge defense. This should play in favor of our OL strengths in Schwartz and LDT as well as being able to use the strong side and get the ball out to Kelce. The Saints are #2 in the NFL in scoring offense, but also #32 in points allowed. #31 in yards per game allowed. They are #4 in passing yards per game but #31 in passing yards allowed per game. #30 in rush yards per game and #26 rush yards allowed per game. They aren't stopping much of anyone at this point. Ball control TOP will be key in keeping Brees/Cooks off the field for as long as possible but the Chiefs have to get TDs when they have red zone opportunities to do so. The Saints can score in a hurry and we don't have a team that excels in playing catchup (despite the San Diego game). I'd also like to see Sutton unleash DJ and/or Sorensen on some blitzes. They aren't running anyone over and it would be nice to see the Chiefs defense pressure Brees from the middle every once and a while. |

Really Brees throwing it to Cooks is the only real concern - I would think we can shut that chit down but we'll see. A few fun facts going into the game: Chiefs have not lost at Arrowhead since October 18th last year. That's 8 home games in a row and they're 13-2 overall in the last 15 games. So far this season the Chiefs have surrendered 6 points in the second half of games at Arrowhead and 26 points in the second halves of all five games played so far (with more than half of those coming in the Pittsburgh debacle). KC is tied for first with the most interceptions in the NFL and fourth in turnover differential at +5. Drew Brees has a 3TD to 2INT ratio and a 82.8 passer rating on the road (compared to 11TD and 2INT and a 114.3 passer rating at home). When behind by more than one score Drew Brees has a 58.8 completion percentage and a passer rating of 62.7. On grass Drew Brees has a passer rating of 74.7 with 2TD and 2INT. Spencer Ware is fourth in yards-from-scrimmage with an average of 129.2. Tyreek Hill is second in the NFL in punt return yardage and tied for 7th in kickoff returns. |

As the game creeps closer, I get the feeling that the Chiefs are going to rape ass.
31-13, or so. |

Solid defense and run down their throats can win us the game but getting into a shootout I believe is a bad idea. |
Going to the game now, what time does the stadium let you in to watch warm ups? We have no tailgate plans and I haven't been in early in for-ever.

When do the players warm up? |
I see this game as being very similar to last week.
Hold the ball. Pound the rock. Spread the ball out to everyone in the passing game... |
