If anyone drives hwy 65 through AR between Branson and Conway, there is a place called the Daisy Queen. For the love of God, eat there. Thank me later. The burgers are ****ing amazeballs!

I believe that. I just have zero good options so it tastes amazing when I am in the mood. I remember good Mexican food...It was just so long ago. Here anyways. I eat plenty of it when traveling. I seek it out. Mexican is one of my very favorites.

Give me recommendations!

I like Bud even over here but I seem to put a ton of weight when I drink it.

TBH most Beers sold in bars here are American, Indian, Dutch, German and Belgian even Brazillian. Brits dont make stuff they just buy from everyone else. The Indian Curry is our national dish.

You can find Cigar City Brewing (Tampa) beers around Orlando. Highly recommended.

I didn't read hardly anything on here - but if you're going to Miami - then +1 mate.

Fortunately, they're still around in here. Kitchen 24, The Pantry, Fred 62, The 101 Coffee Shop (as seen in Swinger's), Swingers on 3rd street, House Of Pies, Mel's and plenty more.

There's nothing better than a night out drinking, then hitting a greasy spoon for eggs over easy, crispy bacon and hash browns.

Oh, and a beer. :D

Most of the Qdobas in Florida are gone. There are Moe's everywhere here, which is a better version of Chipotle offers more toppings as well as free chips and salsa.

I was being a smartass because most Europeans I've met can't stand our national beers. Local microbrews are always the way to go. I'm not familiar with Florida but at most bars the bartender will let you try samples until you figure out what you like.

I first went to Orlando in 2007 and we went to Miami for a couple nights, the weirdest thing was there was a Chinese restaurant by the Holiday inn we were at.

The thing was it wasn't really a Chinese it was run by Hasidic Jews with the hats and curly hair and Hebrew Music. Was a strange experience food was nice, staff were friendly but definitely a culture clash.

That's cool, I wasn't saying I would only eat fast food but will be having some. But will be going for more expansive evening meals. So Mexican, Cuban and Chinese,Seafood will all be on the menu.

My main point was there are lots of places like Sonic, Popeyes, DQ, LC not in UK so was just after any recommendations which some have supplied.

There's a ton of restaurants in Orlando to choose from. I would stick with the Cuban food around there. When I lived in Orlando, the Mexican places were more like mixtures of Spanish cuisines so there weren't a lot of authentic Mexican restaurants there. Uno Pizzeria is a good place for deep dish pizza in that area and Delmonico's is a great place for Italian food. Btw, BBQ is terrible here (in Florida) so don't bother.

I second this....go local and if you like lighter beer try a wheat or lager or pale...

if you like more heaver ales , then just ask the bartender what they have thats local....

if you have to do a national brand....do like Samuel Adams boston lager, sierra nevada pale ....or lagunitas if you can find it.

dont get bud over here because its the same logic....you can get bud anywhere. get something truly american..Bud isnt even an american company any longer.

local micro or like sam adams/sierra/ etc ftmfw if you must

South Beach is fun because they'll often have their offerings (nightly specials) plated up - for aesthetics. Generally a Host will have them outside, on the walkway and describe them to you as they work their way around the plate. TONS of solid cuisine there in SB. Good luck matey!

a little research for deep dish pizza yielded this:

https://giordanos.com/locations/orla...-studios-area/

(chicago classic stuffed deep dish)

keep in mind a true deep dish takes an hour to make fresh so be prepared to have beers and a long meal.

If its hot you could try a pacifico & a lime (mexican)

if they have on tap Samuel Adams boston lager is widely available

Sierra Nevada is great if you can find it on tap or even in bottles.

You could try a red stripe from jamaica if you havent...good lager on a hot day probably avail in florida.

otherwise go local IMO...a good local pale ale...or more rarely a local lager since it costs more to make lager

Does the Landry's and Joe's in Orlando have better/fresher seafood than the ones in KC? It seems like most of their menu options do not consist of seafood from around the Orlando area.

When it comes to chain burgers, as trite as it sounds Red Robin is tough to beat. Personally, I go with the guacamole burger with bleu cheese instead of the swiss or whatever usually comes on it.

Guac, Bacon, Mayo and the usual garden [lettuce, onion, tomato]. Oh, and I substitute Ghost Pepper aoli for the mayo as well for a kick.

https://sandwichtalk.files.wordpress...5/redrobin.jpg

The Burning Love is pretty good too. And the grilled jalapeno on top is LEGIT hot

https://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/me...rger-added.jpg

As a bonus, their fries with Campfire Sauce [mayo, BBQ sauce and chipotle powder] is WAAAAY better than potatoes have any right being.

Regional expansion can be difficult, as people are used to a certain flavor.

For example, Baja Fresh was a favorite of my family and friends in LA for years on end. Every time someone visited, they had to go to Baja because it really was excellent, authentic Baja Mexican.

Tony Gonzales opened up a few locations in KC and it flopped. My friends and family that visited LA locations said it was nothing like LA at the KC locations. Sometimes, the local suppliers just aren't the same across the country.
