Announcers seem to be big on Kniles. Interesting. Probably just because our backfield is SO deep.

Holy Shit. Bears - 189 total yards.

I forget who it was, but some talking head the other day was remarking about how Aaron rarely seems to hit the back of his drop and fire. It almost always looks like what he see's at that moment isnt enough for him, so he scrambles around buying time for something better to come open... when there is no rhythm or timing involved, it turns into backyard ball Based on what I've seen, I had to agree with the guy, Rodgers has a lot of Roethlisberger in him... always looking for the big shot, when a medium one will do He needs to work within the play design/system more often IMO |
Seems like every time you look up, the garbage Chicago Bears are on yet another national TV game getting blown out.

Maybe it's too many years working with Mac. Maybe it's his girlfriend. Maybe its the fact that Ted Thompson has done a shitty job bringing in talent for the past four years. Whatever it is, he's not the same guy and I'm unsure if he even cares. |

I agree that Aaron Rodgers has declined from what he was a few years ago... but the current version of Aaron Rodgers is still better than 90% of the starting QB's in the NFL today (which also says a lot about the lack of quality QB's in today's NFL).

Mike needs a heart to heart with the other Mike, Holmgren that is... on how to rein in a cocky gunslinger You're right about Thompson, Dane... he has done a terrible job of building that team around Aaron, when greybeard Julius Peppers is still your best pass rusher 4-5 years after his acquisition... things arent getting done And thats just the defense |
I'd still bring him in for a look. On his worst day he'd be TONS better than what we have now.

I understand the whole "build through the draft" mantra but it seems like Green Bay takes that to an extreme level. When Green Bay won a Super Bowl a few years ago, one of their key players on defense... Charles Woodson, was a free agent acquisition. |

Draft only is a great guiding principle, but sometimes you gotta jump out there and grab players that you believe can make a difference |
