The bottom line is it wouldn't matter if the Chiefs had Aaron Rodgers or Russell Willson or Peyton Manning pre-2015 playing QB in that playoff game.
Our defensive horses were hurt and we got no pressure on Brady at all and that's clearly how you beat them. |

Unless you want to be villified, hated, and perhaps eventually banned for your shitbaggery.. just give it a rest. NO ONE is under some illusion that everything is perfect, or that we will steamroll our way through the SB without improvement. We get it. You are miserable.. and miserable over this offense. It's fine to feel this way, but what you are doing is desperately trying to drag everyone else into your dark, miserable mindset. It's not going to work.. and all it does is make people irritable. |

Sure, the offense looked bad the last 2 weeks with Maclin out and facing a pretty good D on the road, and a million players out the previous week.
In general, I think the offense is a little more effective than last year's. Hill definitely adds another element. But for whatever reason, Smith is not making nearly as many plays with his feet. I'm sure if they go out and drop 30+ on Tampa this weekend, all of you weekly 180 pullers will pull your weekly 180 and all will be well. For a week. |

Pats lost two key pieces on defense...and I think it's ultimately going to weaken them. It already showed in a home loss to Seattle. KC also knows, now, how Belichick intends to game-plan. KC can beat them if they are healthy...IMO. |

2nd game - #1 WR out. If we go into NE with those key injuries of course we will not do well. |
Any team with a solid D can beat them. Honestly, the Pats are no juggernaut, especially with their D. The top four teams in the AFC--New England, Denver, KC, and Oakland--are pretty much a tossup IMO. Sure, the Pats have the best QB and coach but, as we saw this week vs. Seattle, a couple of turnovers and a subpar game from Brady and they're beatable. And I still won't count out the second-tier teams like Pitt, Baltimore, Houston, etc.,. However, the Pats have a bigger margin of error. For the Chiefs to win, they have to play very well in every phase AND get stellar coaching from the Walrus.

Our offense will be fine. They were fine before Alex' injury and last week was his first week back. He's been taking more shots downfield that prior years and hitting more. Tyreek is a game changer we didn't have last year. Our offense will get back on track this week
|
Reid will call plays that will trick DCs and keep everyone guessing. You can't stop scary smart madness.

What was the last team that won a super bowl with a 25+ ranked offense don't say den they were 16 last year this offense was crap last year and there worse this year they are almost irredeemable

If we have a healthy Houston and the rest of our defense, Maclin and Ware, then look out. This team is special. There's something about this team. I feel it. Alex ALWAYS steps up in the playoffs. I think he'll get going and perform well.
NE just traded their best defensive player and their D looked real vulnerable to a team that doesn't have a good line. Key is having a healthy pass rush against Brady to make him uncomfortable. |
I think we'd have to get them at home. The Broncos did it last year with a QB who had about twice as many INT as TD. There is no way on earth you're going to convince me Alex Smith, as rough as he's been, is worse than what the Broncos threw out there last year. That's really not the ideal situation either way, but it's at least "possible."
Of course, their defense was truly lights out too. But to win the Super Bowl, sometimes you have to be. The Seahawks were too. Not just a top 3-4 defense, but truly a nightmare to face. |

Look, it's 4 divisional games left out of 7. 2 vs. the hated Broncos! It's time to be or get healthy. It's no coincidence that Reid has saved Houston until now IMO.
It's no coincidence that he's been doing the same with other starters. It's the meat of the schedule. All hands on deck! |

And how do we know that? This year's Chiefs team is scoring slightly more points per game than last year's Broncos team. Alex Smith is actually averaging slightly more passing yards per game than Manning did last year, not by much but still, it's higher... plus he has a 8/3 TD/INT ratio... and not a 9 TD/17 INT ratio, and currently a higher QBR than Manning did last year. And this is a down year, probably our worst offensive year since Reid came to KC. Since Reid came on board we've had a top 10 scoring offense twice, which is way better than last year's Broncos offense. It's not even close. Your post isn't even remotely close to accurate. |

Look at our neighbors at total offense the only reason our scoring offense was that high was because our defense kept turning the ball over good teams will not do this |

Let me put it this way our offense is our 2003 defense bad even with a power offense you need a defense in the teens |
SEahakws total offense was 9 when they won a super bowl

They blanked the Colts, Raiders and Carolina...3 of their last 5 opponents..all on the road. This is without Houston... Find a team that brings you entertainment...and quit watching this one. No one will mind.. In case you forgot...KC put up 30 points in a road playoff game last year. |

Sorry, but even if the Chiefs get home field, they're not a lock to make it to the Super Bowl. Far too many similarities in this team, as past ones, having "issues" on offense. The good thing is the 7-2 record has bought them time to get that worked out. Otherwise, shades of '95 & '97 loom...Just my take.
|
Denver beat NE by first jamming receivers, disrupting timing. That allowed them to get pressure. The Chiefs playing man coverage 8 yards off will get shredded by Brady and Peters and company aren't great pressing.
The Chiefs are going to have to play a different type of defense than what they've been winning with. And it's going to have to be defense that beats NE. Or we can hope to face a different opponent in the post season |
We are not equipped this season to make the playoffs much less beat the Patriots in the playoffs. Guy's an idiot.

Oaklandhater is an idiot. I don't think anyone will debate that. That said, he's right. This team can not rely on creating turnovers to win against the Patriots. In the Bellichick era, Tom Brady has evolved from a game manager into a QB who is in the discussion of greatest ever, and the team has evolved from a ball control, defense oriented group into a high powered, high scoring offense. But one thing has remained consistent. They don't make mistakes and turn the ball over. The Patriots since Bellichick took over are number one in turnover differential, and no team is even close. You want to beat the Patriots, you control the ball, play defense and force them into 3 and outs. There is little chance you force them into mistakes. |

Chiefs don't stand a chance against Brady in Foxboro, esp w/ Alex Smith as their QB.
Need HFA at Arrowhead. If the Chiefs are able to snag HFA, then I'm confident the Chiefs can pull out a win at Arrowhead. They just need to keep winning. |
Yeah right we can beat Brady and belichek lol
|
Patriots will be a different team when they get their top RB Dion Lewis back.
|
I would think that if KC meets NE again...it would be advantageous for Reid/Sutton. They just played in the same scenario and the Patriots haven't changed a lot.
NE lost it's two best pass rushers and KC "should" have Houston, Ware and Maclin..possibly Charles. |
The chiefs play too much man, which Brady (and Rodgers and Rapistburger) destroy.
I look for Rapistburger to figure out a way to sneak in the playoffs and make a superbowl run thru new england. Belichik is ripe for another season full of regular season hype followed by blowout playoff exit. NE defense is terrible. You'd have to dig really hard thru every NFL roster to find a less talented defense. Scheme and coaching can only do so much, Belichik may have finally overplayed his hand running one too many talented players out of town thinking he can get it done with slapdicks. But that offense is legit. If you can get a first round bye (remember Andys record coming off byes), and Alex can finagle a 30 point night, you might have a chance. |
This team can't score. We aren't beating the Patriots. The Bucs will be a fight to the death this week.

The scoring defenses they faced: #22 Raiders, #27 Chargers. But I'm sure they'll put up AT LEAST 24 against the Patriots #6 scoring defense. LMAO LMAO LMAO |
The Chiefs can absolutely beat the Pats.
They skull-****ed them 2 years ago, and were a dropped INT away from tying/winning in New England last year. Jesus you guys, pull your head out of your ass. |

Instead we have a broken down version of that QB and a RB who runs a 4.5 instead of a 4.3. Plus, what fantasy land are you living in where this team gets the #1 seed. ROFL This team isn't beating anyone in the playoffs that isn't starting Brian Hoyer. |

This defense usually has the length of the field to their back when opponents get the ball.
A lot of opportunity to come up big. Glad to see the team is working the way it was built. Like the offense to get back in the groove and close out some of their drives. |
seriously, clay is back?
