As for DC. He only comes in there when he thinks he or his side is winning. Then runs a bunch of Smack up everyones ass. Everyone walks on eggshells because he is a Mod & the second he starts losing. He is gone and not heard of till ......rinse and repeat. |

Hand out complimentary testicles to the contingent of this board who believe that they are entitled to some fantasy land where everyone shares their lollipop viewpoints of life and football?
Because that's just about what it would take to clear up a good portion of the never-ending, naggy, menstrual flow that idiots like Tigger are politicking for in this thread. Here's an idea: Don't act like a ****ing **** with your viewpoint and then get self-righteous angry/butthurt when you are challenged on it. Grow up and realize that not everyone thinks the way that you think, and that perhaps your idea/take is in fact NOT the greatest thing to ever come down the pike. There are 20 other sites on the web where you can enter a criticism-free, Fat Andy/Alex-lovin'/Everything the Chiefs do is to the betterment of mankind-zone where you will be coddled, loved, and protected from "meanies" who harsh your mellow. I can't speak for others, but I can tell you straight away that no amount of modding, romper-rooms, or other hair-brained ideas are going to make me change my stance or personality. It is what it is. |
We need any thread that isn't trolled by Alex Smith haters

As far as calling certain people racist, I don't use that term lightly and only use it for users that were banned previously for saying racist things. |

If the majority of your posts are in DC, then you must wear a scarlet DC as your avi so that we may all see your shame.

But you're certainly not innocent of being an obnoxious and repetitive poster concerning all things Alex. You definitely don't let his body of work speak for itself. |

One idea I've had - perhaps there could be a clickable option for users to only see the subforum links they want to, or perhaps even block them out altogether.
|
I don't know if it was a server thing but we use to have a nice thing but it disappeared and that was like our own page to converse in. It was cool as hell but people would be mean and not be nice so I think that's why it got taken away. There is a reason we can't have nice things.
It was nice having conversations with people or posting funnies that they would get. I thought it was a way to develop friendships as well. I'm not talking about the PM because anyone could read it. Maybe just have friend list be able to post in it and you can block them if they are rude. |

Best thing that could happen to CP is the Chiefs drafting a QB in rd 1/2. Discussion would be far better and it would make people hope again

What I'm getting at is this - I'd really like to avoid getting dragged down in the DC abyss this time around, and if I login and the first thing I see in the list of subforums isn't the name of the last contentious thread in that forum and the last contentious asshole who replied to it, then I might not be so tempted to go have a look. Sort of like a recovering drunk who doesn't want to see a giant beer advertisement right outside his window every day. :D |
Eliminate moderators.
The obsession with moderators/moderation on this board reeks of 1990's AOL chatrooms. If someone is that weak/fragile that they can't handle tough talk on an online message board then they should remove themselves from the outside world altogether. |

I made two threads for both sides of the aisle. Now no one has an excuse of ignorance that they are not trolling in those threads. You want positive things to say about our quarterback fine say it in respected thread. You want negative things to say about our quarterback fine say it in respected thread. I think it's simple enough and if you chose to engage in other threads to debate or argue or insults then that is not trolling because it works both ways now. It is also an experiment. I hope it brings some enjoyment to the Planet or satisfies the need. |
Change the forum/sub-forum layout.
Something like this: The Locker Room
Funnels discussions into appropriate areas and keeps people from having to sift through a bunch of garbage threads to discuss what they want to discuss. End megathreads. Nobody wants to sit and read 300 pages of shit. |

If you are serious, the first thing you have to do is stop the practice of mega threads.
It's the number one cause of douchebaggery. It is unwelcoming to newcomers as current news is buried. |

And there need to be some obvious troll guidelines. Tiger is basically another goatcheese. People don't want him gone because they disagree, they want him gone because he's disagreeable. But maybe that kind of ruleset is impossible to do without slippery sloping into the board being a popularity contest or mods just kicking anyone abrasive. Which would get us all banned eventually. You crusty ****s. |
Quote:
People don't really come here to discuss the relative merits of 5 different mid-major OTs in September, but if there's talk of Dorsey bundling picks to move into the top 5, we'll be talking about in The Lounge. Like, you might go to an electrical engineering forum to stay up on current events in the trade, but you wouldn't necessarily want pages and pages of discussions on sizing and milling standards for NEPA enclosures. |
Quote:
I never get involved in the contentious threads like those Alex ones. Like you said douchebaggery. But, douching on Alex is going to occur. Killing a type of thread is not the answer. |
Quote:

Here is my take on this...
1. Have a list of what you are not allowed to do and what will get you banned 2. Enforce the list |

Quote:
If people aren't interested it will drop off the front page. Besides, douchebaggery is an inherent part of Chiefs Planet. |

OldTimers Forum: Say anyone with a join date of 2005-06 or earlier have their own place. Might help keep older members here longer and be troll free.

I have other suggestions:
1. Subscribers a. I know this was discussed years ago but maybe have a subscriber service where they get a separate forum b. Subscribers also get "Premium" Features for example say rep. Not a subscriber you don't get rep etc.. c. Also would help with server costs 2. Vastly Improved Game Day experience a. On Game Day stop user registrations and turn off anonymous viewing b. I like Game Threads but they slow the server down so maybe don't allow GDT's and force everyone to use chat. 3. Offseason mode: I know other boards do this but in the offseason any topic is allowed in the main forum. |

I would actually get rid of rep entirely.
It just encourages people to be nasty in private with no consequences. Or keep it, but remove the comments. |
