Not a single holding call on Pittsburgh...on the road, for the entire game. You would think Arrowhead would be pretty loud during a playoff game. The above play is nearly impossible not to get a PI call on....the guy isn't even trying to find the ball. Chiefs should never have been in the position to let the officials dictate the outcome...and take points of the board. Called a penalty they had all but ignored throughout the game. That game was fixed...big time. |

In KC's game, there was only ONE holding call...it happened in the 1st quarter on Morse. Refs waited almost 3 quarters to call another....on the most critical play of the game. |

Blaming the refs is what losers do. You are crying conspiracy over a still frame picture of a Steelers player interfering on an underthrown ball by a fraction of a second on a non reviewable call. Excuse me if I don't join you in the witch hunt. |

I'll be shocked if Bray enters the season at #2. Happy, because that means he's made a huge leap but shocked, nonetheless.
I wouldn't be shocked if he was cut and replaced with a journeyman, either. |

Dorsey/Reid invested in the future in this draft. Just because they don't put Mahomes upfront, before he is completely ready, doesn't mean their faith is lacking. There are other factors that exist in this scenario, whether we want to acknowledge them, or not (all of which will be eliminated once Mahomes is 100% ready): - Smith being userped: He has a history with this, and regardless of justification for it happening (here or there), Reid is a players coach and keeps these things in consideration. Reid has gone out of his way to let Smith know that what happened it SF isn't happening here. - Bray most likely isn't long for this league: Let him take the lumps for Mahomes, while he builds confidence. If Smith goes down, we could be in for a rough season regardless of Mahomes or Bray starting. Let Mahomes stay focused on what is important and develop him according to plan. Most acknowledge he won't be ready until 2018. If that is what needs to be done, thank you Tyler Bray; you have earned your last 4 years' paychecks. |

The one observation you overlooked was that there was never an opportunity or reason to make a game altering call/no call in the final minutes. It was a blow out...and Tom Brady was winning. NFL was getting what it wanted...and practically called no penalties on them. 2-10 is essentially perfect. |
Quote:
I didn't watch the Patriots-Steelers game but I'm 100% confident that the refs didn't miss a single call and were perfect. |

The amount of penalties isn't as important as which ones directly impact the outcome..and when they are called/arent called. |

Have a few "appointed" NFL doctors...you got yourself a racket. The Charles "phantom" concussion vs. Indy ring a bell? Nice that all reviews, now, come from a central command in NY. One faceless entity with final say....and no identity. NFL didnt address what every fan wants...judgment penalties being challenged. It wasn't even discussed at the owners meeting...and never will be. Its how they control point spreads...and dictate close games. The sooner you wrap your head around that NFL was created by the Mob for skirting gambling laws...and that its grown into a billion dollar industry which is far more profitable than network deals/ticket revenue...the sooner everything will start making sense. The whole convoluted "is it a catch..is it not a catch" is rooted in making the rules as muddy and malleable as possible. Then they have their talking heads repeat "I dont even know what a catch is anymore"....and the public eats that horseshit up...arguing among themselves. Goodell is on record saying that 'live officials are crucial to the game"...in response to having everything being digitally reviewed. What he's essentially saying is "we need officiating errors to continue" even though there is technology available to minimize mistakes. |

Alex Smith has struggled so badly with Andy Reid offense and is first down challenged. Tyler Bray is just now able too get guys in the right place they belong. I don't see why Andy Reid offense is so complicated for bubble screens?

I came in expecting people to meltdown over a QB that has been a Chief for 1 MONTH, instead see this.
If you fully believe that conspiracy stuff, then you have to be on the Mahomes support train. The only way the Chiefs will win a SB is with star power getting the breaks that the NFL officials allow. |
Quote:
Chiefs get that kind of luxury for star power with Patrick Mahomes II then good for us. |
Tyler Bray, not Patrick Mahomes, is the Chiefs’ No. 2 quarterback so far

This team is already loaded with stars, but is considered boring because they are lacking in the most important position. Change that, the media will blow the Chiefs and the bandwagon fans will flow, just like Pittsburgh, Denver, Green Bay, Dallas, etc. |

When Reid and staff say this is a difficult playbook, check your ignorance at the door and go with it. |

I knew you would lie about putting me on ignore. Well Alex Smith struggles moving the chains so no surprise it's taking Bray so long to pick up the offense Alex has troubles with it. |

Nick Foles wasn't necessarily a burden to bring aboard for one season, but given the Chiefs have been trying to draft and develop a suitable #2 QB ever since this regime started, it's pretty glaring that they would pull the trigger on Foles when he came by at a fairly inconvenient time for the franchise. We STILL had to make room on the payroll to squeeze him in, and if you've been drafting guys in the 5th round and later for several years in an attempt to find a backup, getting a guy like Foles for one season kind of ****s up everything you were trying to do. You're creating one fewer roster spot to carry over the development of the QBs from year to year, and you only get one season out of it, not multiple.
Was he better than Murray, Bray, and Hogan? Of course he was. But if the Chiefs were at all interested in making use of their investments, signing Foles is a bad idea. The only reason it makes sense is because you say to yourself, "These slapdicks ****ing suck. Time to start over." I could very easily see the Chiefs getting to training camp with Bray as the 2, and then after one or two preseason games going, "Uhh... this shit can't happen." Who would be available that they could bring in? No clue. The Nick Foles thing just kind of happened magically for them. I don't know if that would take place again. It's gotta be somebody with a direct link to Reid's offense, because even a veteran with years in a SIMILAR system only has a couple weeks to be BETTER than the guy currently in place who knows the system but can't ****ing play. |
I dont know why this is a story or people question or have a problem with it. Of course he is 3rd string at this point. He doesn't know the play book and he has to learn how to control a huddle etc.
He will likely begin training camp as the 3rd string and stay that way for at least half of it. If Bray excels, which I think he will, I could see Mahomes stay 3rd string when the season begins. |
This thread is pretty amusing after the Denver game on New Year's Eve. One would think Bray is going to be released after that disastrous performance. They need to find a solid backup for Mahomes.
|
Bray is gone.
Bray was Naggy’s project. No Naggy. No Bray. |
Really had hopes for Murray. Good news for him he's a natural in front of the camera.

Bray is a giant sack of monkey shit. Solid grasp of the offense? Dear god people. The amount of praise a broke dick gets around here is stunning. |
I had forgotten about this thread, and that people actually thought he was going to develop into something other than garbage.
