What is with the torn achilles and ACLs? It's insane.

I agree with him. By Thursday NFL players bodies are still healing. NFL talks how they care so much about player's safety but the whole TNF completely contradicts that.

Oh look another NFL star that's done for the year. Almost one every game that gets injured now.

This league is starting to fall apart fast.

I saw somewhere yesterday that the number of ACL tears so far this season is nearly equal to all of the last season. Some people are associating it with cleat design and how they grab the turf better on lateral movements, which the human leg is not naturally built for. Hopefully, cleat design is soon studied as much as helmet design.

Just heard about sherman. Maybe they should give the bye week before to the team that plays Thursday.

That would mean less TNF. Shucks.

Time to end TNF

Just so everyone knows, Sherman had an Achilles injury he had been battling prior to last night.

It was a time bomb waiting to go off. But lets blame TNF.

Maybe he needed a few days extra rest

Reminds me of DJ last year

F*** TNF

Then maybe he shouldn't have played.

Do Achilles injuries heal like a typical sprain?

Or is it more like a UCL, where once there is a slight tear it's just a matter of time before it blow?

They try to repair themselves-it creates really bad scar tissue. But can shred in the process.

I have had heel spurs. I know I talked about it when DJ got hurt.
Doc intentionally cut Achilles. Ground off the heel bone. Reattached it with bands and screws.

He said I had one that was being shredded by rubbing on the bone. Sucks to get old.

That’s not unrealistic?

Good grief, you people have lost touch with reality.

Look man, I understand that Wentz is awesome, that he is possibly the league MVP right now... what I am saying, is that based on Mahomes potential, I would not trade him for Wentz

His ceiling might be even higher than Wentz, some of the throws he makes almost defy description

And I say all that as someone who for years, has stated a preference for huge 6'5 240-250 QBs in the Roethlisberger mold, guys who can still make a stick throw even with defenders hanging all over them

Welp, if stars are more likely to sit out Thursday night games due to injury, maybe we shouldn't play it.

Why create a bad product? Money. NFL and "player safety" is only because of concussion lawsuits. NFL doesn't give a rats behind about ligaments

Easy 6 11-10-2017 04:23 PM

The Seahawks are reeeally making a stink about TNF after last night, and its obviously unpopular with players league-wide... wouldnt be surprised to see it go away next year

ThaVirus 11-12-2017 10:56 PM

The Seahawks only give a shit about player safety when it benefits them. They didn't put Russell Wilson through proper consuccion protocol because they were playing a tight game and needed him in there.

Quote:

The Seahawks are expected to face consequences because once an official removed Wilson from the game to be examined, the star quarterback was required to go through the protocol, and he did not.

The NFL and NFL Players Association will jointly review the situation, interview members of the Seahawks organization early this week and come to a decision within the next couple of weeks, according to a source.
