Might as well give last rites |
Yea that ACL injury really killed him, he was pretty good before that, early in his career he played really well in the slot. He just hasn't been the same since the knee injury the question is how much of that is mental because he doesn't look like he lost speed.

If the "All In" Poster is indeed Phil's mom -and I had some doubts if you go back and read the thread from the end of October- I was convinced it was a mult pretending to be Phil's mom- but if she is indeed Mom, I'm apologize for my harsh comments. I did not mean to direct any vitriol at you, as I was convinced it was somebody pretending to be you. I have definitely had issues with Phillip's level of play, and this is not Pop Warner. It's the NFL. Bad play draws criticism. Good play draws praise.
That said, I have not been the only singular poster on the CP critical of Phil's play over the past four years. The reality of the situation is, that in four years, Phil has been injury prone, has only had one interception, and in the last two years given up multiple game changing -or outright game losing- DPIs or pass completions to the opposition. The national media agrees. On Phil's current Roto World listing, I've pasted a copy of it below. Read the player evaluation. Revis was signed mostly as a "Last Straw" reaction to Phillip giving up a fourth down pass play in overtime to the New York Giants for 34 yards, which led to the game ending field goal immediately thereafter. Losing to the Giants was a hard pill to swallow. And the board is correct that its only a game, and sometimes I forget that. I will say, I've seen many, many players come and go, and many players cost the Chiefs playoff victories because they were targeted by Elway, or Manning, or Flacco, or Luck, or Roethlisburger, etc etc etc, and I really worry about another home Playoff Fiasco this Saturday. But Phillip will not be playing, so he will not be involved with our ultimate fate, good or bad. And if you really are Phil's mom, best of luck to you and your husband, and I hope Phillip has a good life after football. http://i65.tinypic.com/2lxtnhi.jpg |
Very nice George

Thank you George and I am who I say I am. I always expect fans to be upset when players are struggling. I just didn't understand your harsh words to me for picking up for my son. That's what mom's do. You have every right to your opinion about Phillip as a person and as a player. I appreciate you taking the time to finalize this conversation. But i will adamantly disagree with you that Phillip is done playing. You are a fan of the Chiefs but I'm a mom :)

I've enjoyed reading your post. Some made me really laugh. I looked so forward to the excitement before every game whether I was at the game or not. My office and car is totally decked out in Chief's stuff. By reading your post i felt like a part of the Chief's family. We are going to stomp the Titans on Saturday! God bless and take care...peace out

Oh boy. Is this going to turn into another Kirstie Tynes thread now? I am, like George, a bit skeptical that this poster really is his mom. Maybe she is, but how would we be able to know for sure? There have been people come on this board pretending to be someone they're not before. I remember a poster that claimed to be Jason Whitlock. Many believed it to be him. But I have my doubts on that one too. Either way, this is a Chiefs discssion board. Anyone is welcome to post here and give their opinions about the Chiefs and their players. I don't think that Gaines is quite as bad as some here act. He's never going to be an all pro, but he's no Jamaal Fleming either. So yes, I would like to see an upgrade at his position, but let's be honest here. He was our 4th corner behind Peter's, Revised, and Mitchell. How many teams have anything better at the 4th corner position?
|
[Speaking of the Pittsburgh game . . . ] Looks like Gaines signed to play defense for Chelsea.

LOL. When can we start cutting people? He should be gone 1 minute after the opening bell.

There were several other threads with “Phil’s Mom” when he was on the team. In one of them, I made up with her, because I seriously thought she was a mult. It was hard to see Phillip with Rose Colored glasses after he got beat like a Piñata all season, including having Antonio Brown snatch a TD off the top of his helmet at Arrowhead, and giving up the game losing TD vs. NY Giants. We all wished her well when Phil left for Buffalo. He had three tackles today for the Bills in a 47-3 loss to Baltimore. Yikes!
|
Ha, trust me I viewed him as Bartee2.0 also. Fair enough, my bad for needlessly trudging up old shit on what sounded like a rough day, I've had plumbing crap spring up and boy is it a nightmare. Anyway, as another poster suggested, I'll visit a dispensary later in the week.

This just reminds me of how much I hate those worthless cheap shot artist Broncos.

LMAO
This thread was great. Everybody screaming at George to be nice to Phil's mom. What did George say that got everybody's panties in a twist? Not once did he say, "**** your son" or "I hope he gets AIDS." He just said in so many words, "Your son wasn't a good football player and I'm glad he no longer plays for my team. Hope he achieves his dream elsewhere." That's it. What, just because his mom showed up all of a sudden we have to talk about Gaines differently? What's next? We have to start being nice to Kristie Tynes? **** that. |
Seeing this thread reminds me of something that just pisses me off.
You know how tired I am of seeing a picture of David Amerson wearing a Chiefs uniform on any article that talks about him being brought in for a visit? Goddammit, he was a ****ing Raider for like 4 years. And sucked so badly he didn't even make it out of camp as a Chief. Don't you go sullying our good name by attaching it to that ass clown. |
Let’s goooooooooo!!!!!!!

They better not resign this mother ****er

You can dislike the player without needlessly needling his mother, she was always classy in her responses and was also career military... thats plenty enough to earn a measure of respect from me Good luck to all concerned going forward... |

I'm not going to suck that lady's dick for being nice and then give backhanded compliments to her face about her shitty-at-football son. Surely she can respect that (and did as much) when she acknowledged that it didn't work out for him in KC. |

But meh, this is all old news and not worth further argument in my view... best wishes to everyone involved going forward |
Bring him in and print em.

How the hell did she have 250+ posts? Game threads?

I looked through her posts after I posed the question. Looks like it was pretty much any thread that was talking about the defense in general in the last year.

Dorsey taking care of his boi. Claimed him off waivers. I’m sure momma is happy.
