I think the other poster nailed it. We knew Mahomes would be good but not this great. They probably thought their record would be worse than this.

By them playing so well, it's the perfect situation to sit him out. Now that the playoffs are coming up, they have to get him up to speed before the playoffs. This will be like hitting the turbo button on the defense.

Or not. He leg could fall off too...

Depends on what you call practice. I'm not even entirely sure players are required to report on Monday, though I'm sure many come in for workouts, PT, or film work. Similar on Tuesday I believe.

Wednesday through Friday are the true practice days (when we'll get injury reports).
