And he's too much of a dumb mother****er to even realize that the part he's bitching about isn't something I have any control over. I was irrationally pissed off probably, but he's a dick. So I booted him for a week. He can come back in the morning.

I actually have a theory (that is kind of what I was alluding to in your quoted post) that turning off guest access during games could actually drive growth here while also helping with the server loads a bit. We always have tons of lurkers (even more than members a lot of the time), but if you're just casually reading a site and have a thought you'd like to post, it might not be worth your time to register just for one post.

However, if you can't read the board during a game, which a lot of people like to do, you're more likely to register. And if you're registered, you're more likely to post.

In short, I think we'll try shutting off guest access for a bit just for fun. Certainly doesn't hurt.
