Yeah, it's a really really deep draft.

I would actually say TE is a bigger need than safety. that's why I am hesitant to give away the 3rd rounder in this year's draft. I think you can get a safety in round 5.

If the draft (even trading away a 2nd or 3rd from next year) nets us a STARTING WR, CB, and TE we are in very very good shape to make a superbowl run with or without Hill.

Yip Yup Yes

staylor26 04-26-2019 08:18 AM

I could easily see somebody like Metcalf, A.J. Brown, or Campbell having good rookie years with Mahomes. He’s going to make Robinson, Pringle, or any rookie look better than they are.

Our offense will certainly take a hit, but a big jump by the defense will more than offset that.

Losing Tyreek sucks really ****ing bad, but Mahomes/Kelce/Watkins is still really good. We just have to pray they stay healthy for the majority of the season and for the entire postseason.

He’s my favorite WR in the draft and I think a lot of people are overlooking him when talking about who we should get today.

It's cause he's not that fast...

Metcalf and Campbell are burners compared to him.

We should be in a great spot to add 3 playmakers at CB/WR/TE with the 3 picks tomorrow

the majority of those names will be long gone by the time the Chiefs pick, though.

I don’t care. He has a unique skill set that would be great in this offense. You said it yourself, you’re not replacing Tyreek. Brown would kill it in the slot with Pat.

MahiMike 04-26-2019 08:30 AM

Looks like we have picks 61 and 84 today only? Thought we had 3...

...either way, I think we'll be moving up.

I'd say there's a 90% chance Veach trades up into the top half of the second round to take a playmaker WR.

Cards didn't get what they wanted for Rosen yet and won't now. They played themselves and should have traded him prior to the draft. Keeping the #1 overall pick secret was ****ing pointless.

Packers should be on the phone offering them a 3rd and swap of 4th round picks for him.

Meanwhile the cards have a lot of holes to fill so maybe they would be open to making a trade with KC for a 2nd this year and a first next year. That could be a great trade for KC if they win the Super Bowl.

Would anybody here be happy with giving up a 2nd this year and a 1st next year?

CoMoChief 04-26-2019 11:54 AM

would be nice to get Greedy Williams.

team needs a (good) CB badly.

wouldn't be opposed to WR either given Hill's ordeal.

Dunerdr 04-26-2019 01:01 PM

boys i cant ****ing wait for the draft tonight!

Chris Meck 04-26-2019 01:05 PM

I really hope Veach sits tight. We NEED those 2 2's and that 3.

If he moves up a little I hope it's just using like a late pick to do so.

i dont know how the points shake out but theres been people talking about using our other second next year to move to the top of the second. im pretty meh on the idea of not having a second next year though.

I wouldn't mind that strategy but I think trading 2020 picks wouldn't be a bad idea just to do everything to have a bully for the next two years, without totally sacrificing the future.

Both the Saints and Rams have used that strategy and it has proved good for them.

This. All Day.

Yeah it would be exciting to trade up and get one of the top available guys, but I think we need to come away with three good players tonight. Obviously a CB, but I hope we look at S, WR, and TEs too.

JohnnyV13 04-26-2019 01:49 PM

Well, the Chiefs can take on another big contract now that Hill is pretty much out the door.

I don't see how he can play in KC anymore. In fact, he might get a permanent ban from Goodell since they might consider his guilty plea before the draft as a first offense.

Remember, this is a continuing act against the same person. The audio has Tyreek threatening Crystal Espinal. His "rehab" looks completely ineffective.

Except next year's 2nd will be late in the round. If done right this could be ok.

Kiimo 04-26-2019 01:53 PM

That's not true we have the 49ers 2nd. The worse 2nd goes to Seattle.

There’s a few beast mode O-Linemen out there. Cody Ford was straight up dominant at OU

You guys should call Elway... throw one of those R2 picks at him for Chris Harris and call it a day.

I bet he goes to Arizona with the first pick tonight.

CupidStunt 04-26-2019 02:21 PM

If Parris Campbell slides a bit while guys like Greedy, Byron and Metcalf all go in the first handful of picks, I'd be all for a trade up. He won't get to us, that kind of speed changes offense. We of all teams know that.

I'd rather go full Madden and trade for vets but it's so rare I can't get my hopes up. I mean the Rams did it and it basically worked. And Veach could. But yeahhhh...

Kiimo 04-26-2019 02:23 PM

WR is overwhelmingly more important than CB in this draft now.

It isn't close.

Paris Campbell, Mecole Hardman and Terry McLaughlin are all good choices for us to fit that role.

If they land PP it's not going to take 40 PPG to win anymore. They still need a WR anyhow, but isn't as dire.

I totally disagree. I want a CB before a WR.

If the Cardinals draft CB with 33, does that signal the possibility of a trade for PP?

I wouldn’t even take him for free.

tyton75 04-26-2019 02:44 PM

I almost think we have to remain where we are and take a WR and a CB with both 2nd round picks. At least we would be able to get 2 guys that can give you some production. Not every draft pick has to be a homerun.

We need talented/productive football players with both of those picks.

Don’t forget Andy Isabella. He also fits those roles.

Hardiman is the most raw but could make a big jump quickly with pro coaches developing him as a WR.

MightyMouse 04-26-2019 04:27 PM

My hope is for Deebo. Guys like him win you games. He would be the guy that moves the sticks. High I.Q. player, great hands, great game speed.

People talk about Tyreek’s speed but the biggest thing that will be missed on the field, is every time Pat was on the run and needed a big play, It was Tyreek. The left handed throw, 4th down ravens, @ pats. Tyreek worked to get open and caught the important catches.
Deebo can make up for some of that. Great at tracking, never quits on a play, great hands.
