Felton (Troy Aikman spelling) kicked ass.

Felton...errr....Fenton looked amazing tonight, but it was the shitty donkies. :)

This is gonna sound very stupid but do you even bring back Fuller if he’s healthy? Fenton is already better than him

He had a return for 31 yards then it was Andy said you ran for too much yardage we need to rack up stats. DAT get in

Nice pick, Veach!

Pasta Little Brioni 10-17-2019 09:52 PM

Played well

I want to see more of him.

KC Hawks 10-17-2019 10:17 PM

Should take over for Fuller.

ShortRoundChief 10-17-2019 10:18 PM

I will be honest. They called him Felton once. I was like OK they miss spoke. When they called him Felton twice I was like you mother****ers. And it got corrected.

I noticed that too.

BWillie 10-17-2019 10:25 PM

Great game but lets temper out expectations. Remember chodes of yester years that started out like ballers and fizzled out

Chargem 10-18-2019 04:19 AM

It's amazing how one little thing can change an outlook.

IF (that's a big if right now) Felton or Fenton (whichever plays better ROFL) can show promise in the slot for the rest of this season, maybe the corner back situation doesn't look so dire for next year.

This is his last year and he doesn’t wanna resign?
So why be hurt right before trade deadline. :banghead:

As aggressive as Veach has been signing FA I don’t think we’d get a comp pick?

tyreekthefreak 10-18-2019 04:38 AM

I was impressed with Fenton too...….but lets see a couple more games with him before we start saying get rid of Fuller.

I think Fuller is already gone after the season. He's that kind of Albert Wilson level ability player that will get more money than he is worth, so the Chiefs won't keep him.

KChiefs1 10-18-2019 03:56 PM

Is it Fenton or Felton? After watching last nights game I’m not sure.

VAGOMO 4 LIFE! 10-18-2019 03:59 PM

It’s great that he gave us tight coverage on Daesean ****ing Hamilton.

Let’s see him against an actual NFL receiver.

Yeah but the best part of last night's game was when Aikman laughed out loud at the Donks putting Flaccid back out on the field, and when he said it might have been the worst offense he's ever seen.

Then he said he was shocked that the fans were still there.

I think Buck and Aikman stopped at a dispensary before the game...

You may have been right about Ward, but PFF is aids. I lost all respect for those guys the minute PMII was 6th and only one spot ahead of Carr on their QB rankings. To make it worse they came out defending their stupid ****ing system and said a bunch of dumb shit as a defense.

Now with that being said, Felenton looked really damn good last night. I hope he keeps getting shots and him and Ward become bad asses. Its be nice to be set at the CB position and if you're number 3&4 corners are Fuller/Breeland, then you are pretty ****ing set. We need to draft some LBs. We need a DJ at linebacker and this defense looks a whole lot better.

JESUS CHRIST FENTON!!!!

VAGOMO 4 LIFE! 10-19-2019 02:29 AM

Clay Fenton retweeted your post about him!

Chargem 10-19-2019 05:35 AM

I normally hate it here when some people relate absolutely everything back to the ****ing Patriots, but some of those plays made me think maybe Fenton could man up Edelman on those short middle routes.

I'm not saying he can't do it, but that's asking a lot from a rookie.

RealSNR 11-21-2019 12:34 PM

I think just about everybody (including myself) took potshots at this guy either when he was drafted, throughout the offseason, or during training camp/preseason.

When we had to start relying on him due to injuries in the secondary, I don't think there was a single person here who had any kind of inkling he would do this well.

To be fair to all of us... compare his college highlights to the plays he's made in the pros. I don't see the same player. At all.

Credit to Veach. Nice freakin' pick! Even if all he's ever good for is nickel and dime situations and special teams, that's still a pretty decent player to have for a 6th round pick. And ALL teams need players like that.

Put him on the outside and bench Breeland.

Probably after the bye. I want Fenton on the field

staylor26 11-21-2019 02:14 PM

I was surprised by Fenton’s success until I saw he played HS football at Carol City.

Guys from Miami are just built different from a competitive standpoint. They’re told at a very young age that it’s football or the streets for the rest of their lives. I’m not joking when I say the atmosphere for youth football leagues is like college football.

Meh, I'd rather they put Fuller back in the mix and use Fenton as needed. While he's played well, he still needs some seasoning for sure. I know, reps reps reps etc. etc. but he'll be great to have in case of further injury or a departure (or 2) next year.

So he's basically healthy.

Kiimo 11-21-2019 03:15 PM

Breeland has played better than Fuller though

I too said this was the one draft pick who was gonna suck.

I guess it's that lineman from Illinois then.

edit: who is our only backup center so we'll see on him too.

suzzer99 11-21-2019 03:31 PM

If they keep it up our young secondary is going to need a nickname.

Maybe The Dreads or something (due to Ward and Matthieu having colorful locks).

Or something actually good.

Wiznewski has experience and can play center if necessary.

Kiimo 11-21-2019 03:34 PM

I'm so glad we didn't spend draft picks on a corner trade.

Use them all on linemen and linebackers.

ToxSocks 11-21-2019 03:57 PM

Fenton makes Fuller expendable.

Munson 12-01-2019 03:51 PM

Nice job by the rookie forcing a fumble on the kickoff return.

wheeler08 12-01-2019 06:26 PM

Did Fenton get hurt during game or was it only Breeland that got hurt today?

RunKC 12-29-2019 04:48 PM

I would almost look to being Fuller back purely as a safety.

Fenton is a very underrated player on this defense. He's quietly had a very good season.

Will be interesting. We'll probably try to re-sign either Breeland or Fuller, and whoever blinks first in negotiations (if either of them do) will be the guy we bring back.

I'd almost rather sign Breeland to a short term deal and draft a corner, but I also know much this defensive staff values versatility.

Easy 6 12-29-2019 05:42 PM

As far as I was concerned, he was this years Mr Irrelevant

I dont remember noticing him during the game, thats probably good right?

Dunerdr 12-31-2019 09:29 AM

This man had Mark Fields job the whole time and we just didn't see it.

smithandrew051 12-31-2019 10:09 AM

Our secondary looks very strong going into next year.

I bet we’re able to extend Breeland on an affordable 2-3 year deal.

That would give us Honey Badger, Thornhill (hopefully doesn’t lose a step), Ward, Breeland, and Fenton as our starters. Watts will be back as well I’m sure.

I assume we’ll draft another CB/S to add to the group and sign a veteran in the offseason.

I feel so much better about our secondary than I did at this time last year. The future looks great.

Bowser 12-31-2019 10:32 AM

This kid has been a steal

Kiimo 12-31-2019 11:56 AM

When I saw Fenton drafted I thought this was the guy in the draft class that you go back and say wow I forgot about that guy did he ever play a snap?

Like a DJ White or a Sanders Commings or a Jalil Brown.

Man am I so pleased to be wrong. The only guy in this draft class who hasn't done anything yet is Nick Allegretti and that is the type of player who may need years and then surprise.

Best draft class in Chiefs history?

tmax63 12-31-2019 12:03 PM

Allegretti is getting reps on ST and he had 2 rep on O as well. For a late round flyer that isn't bad. At least he's still with the team and contributing something.

pugsnotdrugs19 12-31-2019 12:06 PM

He’s really good at timing PBUs it seems. Good technique coming from behind a player on underneath routes.

Kiimo 12-31-2019 12:07 PM

I'm holding out hope on him for sure. It takes time for linemen and especially centers. If he developed and was able to take over and play better than Austin Reiter that would be huge.

edit: Also his draft profile had a lack of upper body strength as a negative and maybe he just needs to power lift for like three years.

Dante84 12-31-2019 12:58 PM

Dude has been such a pleasant surprise so far. He has an attitude on the field and appears to be very confident.

pugsnotdrugs19 01-01-2020 06:17 PM

FWIW.... PFF said that Fenton’s week 17 performance against LAC was the best single game for a CB on this roster all season long.

If this guy is a legit player, holy balls what a draft class.

VAGOMO 4 LIFE! 01-01-2020 06:38 PM

I’ve had a hard on for him ever since his first game against the Donks. Glad to see I was right. Veach is the best GM in the league

Ward & Fenton > Breeland

Even Matheiu is better at CB than Breeland

Breeland has one of the leagues best completion percentages against. It’s less than 50. He’s been beat and he’s had some penalties, but this idea that he hasn’t been solid for the most part is ****ing reeruned. Every corner gets beat in today’s NFL.

And Matheiu plays inside when he plays corner. You’re comparing two different positions. He is not a better outside corner than Breeland.

Hammock Parties 01-01-2020 07:32 PM

I bet Breeland gets money thrown at him.

Teams are desperate for corners.

Chief Northman 01-01-2020 07:56 PM

Breeland will definitely get a good contract offer.

If the Chiefs can only keep one of him or Fuller at around the same price, I’m keeping Fuller. He’s more versatile. Fuller can play nickel and outside and FS, while Breeland is pretty much an outside corner only.
