Yeah he’s looked great pretty much every time he’s gotten a shot. He did really well today, but I’m torn as to whether he had an advantage or disadvantage....The Raiduhs knew he was going to get the rock, but they had also basically given up and were extremely gassed at that point.

On another note I’m surprised Reid decided to let him loose a week prior to the Patriots game. Reid is no dummy, so I imagine he’s hoping this solid performance will make me him just one more weapon the Pats have to worry/game plan/account for ....

Should be fun to se anyhow.

If we draft a couple good linebackers, a solid interior offensive lineman or two and some help at running back. We’ll be a pretty solid and well rounded overall team.

Maybe cut the Williamses in March, but for real McCoy and the Williams are great...backups.

Kid needs playing time. He's small but he runs hard. He had success running the ball even when the Raiders KNEW we were 100% running.

His pass blocking needs a lot of work...it is pretty obvious that is why he has not seen the field.

Hopefully getting him some playing time will help that improve.

I've seen him speak quite a bit. Seems like a sweet man.

Yes. Him running the ball is the best our running game has looked since Shady went cold in the early season. (Plus one big run from Damien.)

DWT goes off for 100 yards rushing and 75 receiving in his first real game action. 2 TD.

He reminds me of Maurice Jones-Drew. Similar in size and the same toughness.

He ran hard today- and should start next week.

DT had himself a pretty good day. He was able to shrug off some tackles and gain some extra yards that most backs his size wouldn't have been able to. He does look seriously tiny out there.

That holding call on him was ****ing horseshit.

Thanksgiving Day. I was cutting veggies, and sliced a bit of my fingertip off. Just a thin sliver of skin hanging on. So I'm typing with a band-aid on until it scabs over enough to hold that bit together and starts healing. So typing this paragraph is now taking 5 minutes instead of 1 minute because I keep hitting extra keys with my index finger.

he's the only RB that has shown any sign of that explosiveness and physicality you want. He's fun to watch and I'm here to be entertained, so ya it's time.

He did a good job, especially good considering the faiders knew he was coming on the entire drive. He was hitting the holes and getting the hard yards.

I missed the 4th quarter, had to go somewhere. Heard my guy finally got to play, got excited. Turned the DVR to watch with my coffee. Then they cut away from the chiefs game to show chargers/broncos.

He's just a more physical runner than the rest of the group. Darrell is big, but not as explosive as Thompson. Thompson is the only back I think I've seen this year that an break a tackle or not go down on initial contact.

I want to see Dtrain get the ball in the passing game against NE.

I did find it very noticeable how supportive the entire offense was after Darwin scored. I know it was his first ever but it still struck me. They were all in one tight group after the TD. Maybe it was organic and just about his first TD, but perhaps losing his coach was a main part of it.

I’ve posted that I didn’t believe he was ready in another thread. He finally got his chance and did quite well on 11 carries, good for 4 ypc. I’ll happily eat crow if he follows it up with a strong game against the Pats. I wasn’t able to see the 4th quarter as they switched the broadcast to the Denver game, so I wasn’t able to see the quality of those runs. Thanks for posting the gifs!

Pass blocking seems to be an issue, and in this offense, that's a big one.

I still think about the block LJ missed that kept us from the 2005 playoffs.

Add me on to the Darwin Thompson bandwagon. This kid has an interesting style of running. He has the quickness of an undersized back but finishes really strong. I think this kid has really good vision as well. I've been wondering about him. But he is a sixth round rookie. Coming from Utah State to starter for Andy Reid is a massive jump. But hey, Kareem never had a problem. This kid should've gotten more action by now. Especially since Shady fumble against GB and Williams fumble against TEN cost us two games.

I don't know how special this kid is yet, but he's a little spark plug. He runs with enthusiasm and intent.

He runs like every carry is his last. I dig it. Lets hope he catches lightning in a bottle.

As hard as he runs I'm not sure he's gonna last long.

He and Tyreek have identical bodies for sure with Tyreek being quicker and faster of course but DT ain't no slouch either.

With an injury history. Shady has it too. Good reason to split carries between the two.

Andy has been load managing Shady for the stretch run. Expect to see more of him this week unless the O line shits the bed again. He looks fresh. He and Darwin could be a good 1-2 punch. Feels like the screen game has been missing, and Darwin could excel there. I like our line better in space.

The biggest advantage that Darwin has, IMO, is his smaller size. He literally doesn't need much of a hole to slip through. Or crash through, whatever. And since our OL is not run blocking that well, Darwin can make use of holes that our other backs just might not be able to get a shoulder into.
