Major bummer. Loved his food posts. Never met him in person but I wish I had. Glad he got to see KC hoist the Lombardi.

Well, that sucks. I guess I never had a lot of interaction with him but I knew that he was a long time regular. Seemed like a decent guy. Anybody know exactly how old he was? Sounds like he was my age or a little younger. Dang! Diabetus that young? :(
|
Oh Man. RIP
|
Fuuuuck. Damnit.
One of the original OG's that WASN'T a dick. Dude was always a pleasure to read, never had anything bad to say about anyone. That really ****ing sucks. R.I.P. ****. |
Holy shit, he posted no more than a week ago... very sorry to hear this, RIP
|
This really ****ing sucks. He was SUCH a nice guy and we've had a million amazing PM's and Rep notes over the years.
R.I.P., Brother |

FMB had Type I Diabetes, which is completely different and at this point in time, cannot be cured. |
Food threads will never be the same. Rest peacefully FMB, prayers for peace and comfort to all touched by his passing.

There's no known cure for reversing the effects of Diabetes Type I and unfortunately, most sufferers die at an early age but usually not before having body parts amputated, as did FMB. Mikey12345 had Type I Diabetes and after multiple amputations, died as well. It's a terrible, terrible disease. |

My grandpa was in it for 9 years. He had a kidney removed with cancer and then later the other one quit. It’s pretty hard on the body. |
This one hurts. Maybe i'm just being a bitch today, i barely knew the man. But seemed like a genuinely good guy. This one hurts.
|
RIP sir!
|
He will be missed.
RIP FMB. |
Was a really good poster, seemed like a good dude and so sorry to hear. My uncle died at 44 from complications from diabetes and that is one awful disease.
Hope he got to see and enjoy the Chiefs Super Bowl victory before all this. RIP Fire Me Boy! :deevee: In Your Honor, I hope when you get into heaven they have this waiting for you....... https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ab/c2...ee7deb366a.jpg https://d1otfi4uhdq3fm.cloudfront.ne...nal_Dinner.jpg https://i.pinimg.com/originals/9b/70...45910bdcc9.jpg |

What the hell? He was fine just a month ago. RIP.
Never mind, just read about the diabetes thing. |
Damn, that sucks. My condolences to any family and friends here on CP or any of them that might be reading this. I know he was well liked on here.
Go out and have a great meal in his memory as it seems that is how he was remembered by many. |
i had a conversation with him a few years back. i was trying to be funny. said some really cold hearted bullshit. once i had a clearer head, i reached out and apologized.
he accepted me for being a dipshit. will miss his food posts, he was a great dude. rest in peace. thank you for letting us know, luv. |
Damn... :(
|
Awe man, dammit. RIP Fire Me Boy! In some better place, they will be having some damn good grub.
|
Honestly, at first, I didn't want to be the one to post something. I messaged DaFace. Ultimately, though, I just decided that I owed it to him, since he was one of the first people on here to be totally cool with me.
Of course, he kept me in line by using his pimp hand. LMAO I've been looking all morning to see if I could find the same one, but I haven't. Searching on here only brings up the latest 500 posts/threads by people, and that doesn't take me far enough back to look. |
One of the best posters on CP. One of my personal favorites.
Very sad to hear and far too young. |
Rest In Peace. Prayers sent.
|
Man, terrible news. I never really knew the guy other than to follow his cooking threads. His dip into sous vide was one of the more interesting things I've read on here.
RIP. |
RIP

Best foodie on CP. Loved his posts. His biscuits and gravy thread was one of my favorites
|
Gosh I want to say he was having kidney issues also but hard to remember. He gave me my first pos and neg rep all in the same day. RIP
|
RIP bud
|
Damnit.....RIP.
Glad he got to experience the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl before he passed on. |
One of the good guys, damn. RIP FMB!
Way too young and will be sorely missed. |
Condolences. RIP
I hate this kind of stuff. Never know what to say or even think. |
That sucks, RIP, at least he got to see a superbowl. Wonder how many we have lost over twenty years.
|
I would like to reach out to his wife to find out if there was an organization that was close to his heart that we could raise money for, but dealing with someone from an online bulletin board probably isn't at the top of her list. I really feel like there's something that we could do collectively, though. Perhaps we could raise some money and donate it to the American Diabetes Association in his honor. What do you think?
|
Too bad to hear this. He was fairly young right?

Once Dane jogged my memory on his dialysis treatments I did remember FMB speaking about it a few times, but I didn’t realize the time that bought was finite... thought as long as he could get it, it’d keep him up and running
Sure wish he’d said something to us when he posted last week, at least give us a chance to pray up a miracle... some of the guys we’ve lost, like Brock for instance, just have a strange pride that prevents them from opening up about it Sad day for sure man, I’m raising a toast to him as I type this |

Fmb also bombed me w my first infraction Several years ago I sent him a remote meat thermometer Great guy sec |
****, terrible news. Rock on my man. Gone too soon.
|
Damn, hate this so much. He's in a better place now. One day there's gonna be a hell of a Chiefs dynasty party goin on up there.
|
Very sad news. RIP dude. :(
|
Wow. I'm crushed. One of my all time favorites.
Never met him, but doesn't matter. He felt like family. Thoughts are with his family. Crazy that he's gone at like 42. (I think) RIP, FMB. I hope they have a Sous Vide machine up there. |

RIP Fire! I literally smoked a prime rib this weekend based upon your posts.....I didn't know at the time that it would be homage to you.....CP has definitely lost a good one today

1. Googling the email address on his account revealed a name and a city (which is a small town of maybe 10k people). 2. Looked on Facebook for someone with that name in that town. 3. Found a guy who looks to be maybe 50's or 60's in that town. He's posted in the past few weeks. If anyone knew him well and would like to reach out, PM me. I'd give info out to one person, but I don't want him to be barraged with people trying to contact him, especially if he hasn't otherwise tried to connect with people. |
