Kelce responded to the video with a LFG

All the 88 hate is hilarious. Guy balled out the entire time he was Chief, supposedly while hating being a Chief? Yeah, that makes sense. He almost single-handedly made the Chiefs relevant on the national stage while he was here.
And if he wasn't kidding and wanted to be a Chief again, and caught the game-winning TD in our next Super Bowl all these haters would be jumping on the TG88 bandwagon so fast they'd forget that they hate him . . . Which is the point really. Can he still produce at a high level? This season will be more of a crucible than any I've seen in the past, because the NFL won't have OTAs, training camp; the whole preseason probably will be shortened or eliminated. Teams with lots of veteran players and incumbent coaching staffs are going to have a huge advantage over teams loaded with young inexperienced talent/rookies. Players with high football IQs are going to feast in 2020. A player like 88 will learn the playbook cold in three weeks. Find his chemistry with 15 in two or three weeks. Make opposing LBs look like idiots in two weeks. |

This is all you need to read to know he is 100% ****ing around. |

Sure, let's just go out there and snag a 44 year old that hasn't played a down since 2013. That'll assure us winning the next 10 SBs. While I thank TG for all the great memories, his pissy attitude toward KC is a sin that can never be forgiven.

Not only has the ship sailed but it docked on Lombardi Trophy Island.

I know a TV sports producer - I asked how much he thinks Tony G gets for saying like 100 words per Sunday including pregame. He said probably like $3-$4M per year. But they're grooming him to take over for Bradshaw as the lead guy so that will go up. Although I have no idea what "lead" means except you slide over a couple seats.
Anyway - he'd be an idiot to give that up. |

Oh, and the very first thing I said was, "this can't be real. But for fun . . ." |
If y’all remember he left the Chiefs because herm benched him when he was short few yards of setting a record ( don’t remember what record) . He had brought a bunch of family in to see it happen . It is was a bullshit move on herms part, should have kicked him in the nuts for pulling it.

That struck me as ... well ... pitiful.

Maybe we could use Jason Dunn as a blocking tight end he was better at blocking than Tony G.

Go back to Atlanta Toni
|
I heard Bill Belichick is trading himself to Tampa.

If this were legit, I could see Reid in a presser sayin:
"You kiddin? That's a Hall of Famer, man. In great shape...tremendous shape. He's serious about this thing. So we brought him in, worked him out...physical, drills...that sort of thing. And he looked good! He's here now with Kelce and those guys. Im excited! Let's roll!" |
It's funny and all, if he were serious he'd have to go through camp to prove he had something left...sure he'd love that.
A lot of us as fans were sick of the Chiefs during the period he was here, I don't really hold grudges for him wanting out at the end, especially when Pioli took over. |

I'd probably expect more production from Tony at this point than Gronk.

Nizzle, plizzle.
|
Don't look now but Percy Harvin also wants to come back....
|
As you get older one of the first things to diminish is reflexes. He couldn't handle a juiced up Mahomes pass.

The best TE in the NFL (Kelce) and the Best in NFL history (Gonzo) both lined up at the same time- surreal and unstoppable.
