You’ll take him at 35, but not 32? |
I don't follow college football at all.
What's are upside and downside with this pick? |
He’s a 1st round fantasy draft pick to me, that’s for certain
|
I think the guys they wanted at LB. CB C were gone so they took their BPA , he seems like a great fit and it’s gonna. E even more fun watching this offence .
|
Whenever the next season ends up happening, it's gonna be ****in fun

so wonder what now comes of Darwin T. / Darrel W. and Washington??
|
This guy is going to be an absolute stud for KC. Might be the last player i wanted to see KC take. Kid is for real.
|
I will repeat what I said in the draft thread, I remember watching him in the playoffs and thinking I would like to have him on our team. He was impressive.
He fits our offense perfectly and I think it makes our offense unstoppable if we are fully healthy. |
When you have Mahomes it’s easy to just wanna keep adding layers of difficulty, yeah maybe the D gets dinged... but the Ultimate Weapon just got another weapon
Now gimme Shenault with 2, LeMeuix with 3... then go defense |

After watching those videos I’m sold. Dude is gonna make our O more complete than it has been since Hunt. We are gonna go back to seeing super high scoring games from this O.

I completely get what you’re saying but let’s not forget who takes snaps with the defending world champions. Protecting Mahomes is objective number one, everything else comes after. Props for calling this pick by the way. |
Totally stoked
|
Anyone who watched LSU last year should have noticed how much of a beast this guy was. He was just impressive all year and if Reid loves him and he’s a fit for this offense he will dominate. Great pick up for us. He’s our replacement for Hunt.

I am a die hard LSU fan. We just recieved the most incredible RB. This is sooo against an Andy Reid pick, yet here he is! This is so incredible for our team! We now have a Priest Holmes 2.0:thumb:

And considering he's a rookie and might have pass protection issues, Helaire might not be on the field every single down to start with anyway. Plus if everyone's healthy you're not going to be able to put all the weapons on the field at the same time anyway. Reid's going to have a field day. |

Good priorities. |
His biological father went to jail for 14 years for cocaine possession. He had another guy come into his life and raised him properly. He honors both of his fathers last names with Edwards-Helaire
|
Honestly if he turns into Priest Holmes this offense is truly unstoppable. It’s another piece for Andy to play with. We’re about to see some crazy play calling.
|
We’re going to score 35 per game. **** everyone. Try to keep up.
Now I have to read the thread. Edit: his lateral agility is off the charts. Reid is going to ah e field day with this kid. |

Some good, some not so good
Good Perfect fit for our offense and Andy Reid Great hands ... Great Very good route runner Powerful legs Think Darren Sproles Not so good Swift was still there Defenders that fit needs were still there A RB in the 1st round Not a polished traditional runner Not a polished blocker overall Great at doing what Andy will ask him to do even though taking a RB in the 1st round usually isn't a good idea. #32 is almost the 2nd round though. The main issue is teaching him how to pass block. He is short but very stout so he should be able to. This isn't the luxury pick that the t.v. guys keep saying. We have legitimate needs on defense. Fills the main need we had on offense. My head is still sort of reeling. |

Brett convinced Andy that we should draft this guy. Brett said he’s like Brian Westbrook. He also nailed exactly how many OL and QBs were taken in this round. Dude is such a stud

Clyde Edwards-Helaire LSU career:
438 Touches 1 Fumble After watching McCoy and even Damien fumble away 2 or 3 games last year, I’ll welcome this. |
Veach said Reid thinks he is better than Westbrook.

Not even close. CEH runs a lot like Barry Sanders IMHO. Priest didn't have the speed, quickness nor cutting ability this kid has. Priest had the ability to glide behind a HOF line and read the holes very well. This kid is a "muscled up" Tyreek Hill and that is a very good thing.:thumb: |

I thought the Westbrook comp made more sense given his height and past KR ability. Dude definitely seems like he's more than his combine numbers. Always flashed when I saw LSU play last year.
|
Daniel Jerimiah on NFL Network said that he reminds him of Priest Holmes.
If this kid can be as good as Priest....**** yeah. They maybe could have traded back a little, but it does look like there will be a run on running backs in round two, so I am good with the selection. I was thinking it was gonna be him or the Swift kid from Georgia. Seems like all of the defensive talent we were interested in was already gone. Also, this is a good sign to me that they are confident they can resign Chris Jones. If they were not, surely they would have gone with a DT in this spot. Also, I like the pick even more after seeing the rest of the AFC West picks in the first round....they are giving up on trying to defend us, they wanna try to outscore us, and I think that plays right into our hands. |

First RB Reid has ever drafted in the first round. Drafted higher than Westbrook, McCoy and Hunt. Reid and Veach clearly fell in love with him. Ray Rice meets Darren Sproles. LFG!!!

They had dog shit at the position, so drafting a RB in the first was almost a given, which is what I’ve been saying for a month. I’m sure they’re going sign more than one UDFA running back, too. |

LMAO at thinking Swift is a better RB. Have you watched Swift? I mean actually watched him, not just his highlights. I dont know how you can come away thinking he'll be a better pro. |
Has Veach missed on one of his love affair picks?
Wasn’t he instrumental in a few of the Eagles stars too? Obviously, Mahomes and Hardman too. |
