Who has the correct picks though? Both sites are different after the 4th round.
|
Mock Draft Database doesn't project any comps. I did trade up in the 4th (4th and 5th for 4th and 7th):
32 Round: 1 Kadarius Toney WR | Florida 64 Round: 2 Walker Little OT | Stanford 96 Round: 3 Ronnie Perkins EDGE | Oklahoma 121 Round: 4 Richie Grant S | UCF TRADE 193 Round: 7 Trill Williams CB | Syracuse TRADE 224 Round: 7 Adrian Ealy OT | Oklahoma |
this was a fun one. I feel like this would improve several positions moving forward. I moved down a couple of times.
KC 41. Terrace Marshall Jr. WR LSU-more playmaking WR's. trade icon KC 64. Liam Eichenberg OT Notre Dame-plug and play LT they say. Well, we need one of those. KC 88. Dayo Odeyingbo EDGE Vanderbilt-Spags prototypical size and length DE. trade icon KC 95. Quinn Meinerz OG Wisconsin-Whitewater-this guy is a ****ing monster. Sue me. KC 163. JaCoby Stevens S LSU-bigger, more athletic Dirty Dan replacement. Yeah, DD makes some plays but he also misses a ton of them due to being too slow, or just missing the tackle. KC 225. Bryan Mills CB NC Central-small school project corner. Long and lean, ballhawk. Chiefs have done well with these types lately. |
I did a similar trade down Meck
Traded ARZ 1-32 for 2-49, 2022 2nd, 2022 5th Traded NYJ 2-64 and 2022 6th for 2-66, 5-133, 7-217 Traded JAX 3-95 and 4-131 for 3-80 Traded JAX 7-217, 7-225, and 2022 7th for 7-201 2-49 - WR Terrace Marshall, Jr., LSU (no way, right?) 3-66 - OC Josh Myers, Ohio State 3-80 - OT Walker Little, Stanford 5-133 - DE Ellerson Smith, Northern Iowa (Reach on their board, I don't think he's there this late) 5-163 - TE Tre McKitty, Georgia 7-201 - SS Paris Ford, Pitt |

I'm gonna have to try one of those other sites.
You guys are taking Terrance Marshall in the 40's. After a dozen or more mocks, I've yet to see him available at 32, let alone in the 2nd round. |

Holy crap, PFN is fun. I went crazy with the trades. Buffalo offered me a package for #32 that included #61 as the highest pick. I instead opted for a trade with New England and Buffalo gave me another offer of #61, so I was able to trade down twice and get multiple late picks in return.
This should address the offensive line and more. 61. Creed Humphrey OC Oklahoma trade icon 67. Dillon Radunz OT North Dakota State trade icon 95. Jabril Cox LB LSU 104. Marquez Stevenson WR Houston trade icon 152. Richard LeCounte S Georgia trade icon 160. Dazz Newsome WR North Carolina trade icon 161. Chauncey Golston EDGE Iowa trade icon 163. Went into this draft under the assumption that the team believes that Rankin is their LT and Niang is their RT. Fisher can take a pay cut while rehabbing and we re-sign Remmers to be the swing tackle.
Bengals offered #38 and #69 for #32. #38 - Terrace Marshall, WR, LSU #64 - Josh Myers, OC, Ohio State #69 - Jevon Holland, S, Oregon #95 - Dayo Odeyingbo, DE, Vanderbilt #131 - Daelin Hayes, DE, Notre Dame #163 - Frank Darby, WR, Arizona State #225 - Olaijah Griffin, CB, USC |

Jevon Holland is one of the most versatile safeties in college football. He could literally play anywhere, he's a lot like Matthieu.
At worst, he'd be an instant upgrade over Sorenson on a rookie contract. |

I would love for us to be able to grab Rousseau in the end of the 1st, but that has no chance of happening. I think we can grab a top rated C in the 2nd so there's where I think we should absolutely look to strike-and save ourselves the Reiter price tag.

I ran one today. Goal was to trade down and focus on:
OL (one tackle, C) WR (need help there) DE (need more pop opposite Frank) I think the Chiefs best bet to add affordable talent in FA is at WR and DE, so OL becomes my draft focus in this one. After two trades downs (Using PFN) offered TO me, I end up turning #31 into #s 46, 76, and 209 and the board just lines up perfectly for me. Jalen Mayfield and Teven Jenkins and Terrance Marshall Jr all on the board/available at 46. 2.46 - I take Jalen Mayfield, OT, Michigan as I gaze longingly at Marshall and sob. He has higher upside than Jenkins, and has a reasonable floor of excellent RT with reason to believe he can be above-average at LT. I get a few offers at 63 and can't pass up getting 67 and 134 from Houston. I trade down to 69 from there and upgrade #130 to #105. 2.69 - after a lot of internal debate, I take DE Dayo Odeyingbo. This is a reach according to the current PFN board, but I think it's about right for him by draft day, and he's an ideal fit for KC. 3.76 - I reach again, according to PFN, to get Quinn Meinerz, C, Wisconsin-Whitewater. His Senior Bowl performance was outstanding. His power and ability to handle power and speed just shine for me. Should give KC a BIG boost inside. 3.94 - Marquez Stevenson, WR, Houston. Hopefully, I've lined up a WR line Marvin Jones in free agency, making this a developmental guy who can give KC some touches as WR 3/4 early on, before becoming the guy at X in year 2 or 3. 4.104 - Tommy Tremble, TE, Notre Dame I make up for not doing a huge upgrade at WR2 by making TE2 a lot better. 5.134 - Paulson Adebo, CB, Stanford Not sure what happened to his stock in his college season, but this is a long, versatile corner who fits well in KC. 5.162 - Janarius Robinson, DE, Florida State Another Spags' build guy, horribly coached in college with immense physical tools. 6.209 - Justin Hilliard, LB, Ohio State Speedy WLB type who has potential in coverage. Just seemed like BPA for KC here. 7.224 - Mustafa Johnson, DT, Colorado Quick interior rusher I've got way more movement here than is probably realistic, but the way the top of the draft fell is ideal. If KC ends up sitting at 46 with two viable day 1 starting Ts on the board as well as one of Marshall, Bateman, and Toney, I'll feel pretty good about that position. |

This draft was kick-ass. I accepted some trade down offers, stayed true to the board, and filled a ton of needs.
KC 45. Jaelan Phillips EDGE Miami (FL) trade icon Super talented Edge player, projects as a 10 sack a year guy. This should make our front four a dominant group. I'd bring back Charlton too, for depth. KC 64. Liam Eichenberg OT Notre Dame trade icon Draftnetwork scouting report says: plug and play LT, should transition easily to the NFL. All the physical skills, smart kid. I'd also sign Jason Peters as stop-gap/insurance/mentor/swing tackle reserve. KC 88. Quinn Meinerz OC Wisconsin-Whitewater trade icon This kid's tape is unreal and he just flat ate up everyone Senior Bowl week. He went from not on anyone's radar to a probable 3rd rounder. He's a monster, and I seriously doubt he doesn't end up a pro-bowl caliber OC. I sign Justin Britt as cheap vet insurance/back-up/IOL depth. KC 94. Kenny Yeboah TE Mississippi This is a talented receiving TE. Kelce's heir apparent, will be a weapon right away. Two TE sets could really be deadly, and help out young OT's with chips on their way out to routes. KC 105. Joe Tryon EDGE Washington trade icon In year one, Tryon is probably a pass rush specialist, as he's about ten pounds lighter than Clark. That's fine; as a rotational piece with Danna/Charlton, and a year in an NFL weight program he can totally hit that 260ish ideal. They say you can't have too many pass rushers; I agree. This allows us to keep even Clark fresh. Maybe that's his problem. KC 130. Aaron Banks OG Notre Dame KC The ideal Reid OG. Power, athleticism both. Great value here. Also a plus: He's used to playing next to Eichenberg. If he beats out Alegretti, great, move Alegretti to RG competition with LDT. 131. Austin Watkins WR UAB trade icon Prototype Sammy Watkins size, VERY similar skillset. 'X' receiver of the future. KC 224. Darren Hall CB San Diego State Spags approved length and speed. We've hit on this type of player the last few years, and we'll need some depth after Breeland probably walks. Re-sign Baker, and roll with Sneed, Baker, Ward, Fenton, and this kid. |
That's solid. Mines would look something like that if I opted for trades but this is what I got for my hangover mock
31. Kansas City Chiefs Jaelan Phillips EDGE, Miami This guy is always available at this spot. He's hard for me to pass up unless a guy like Terrace Marshall is still on the board 63. Kansas City Chiefs Spencer Brown OT, Northern Iowa I don't see a lot about this guy but the report is he has plenty of athleticism and strength to go with outstanding size and length 94. Kansas City Chiefs Rodarius Williams CB, Oklahoma State Adequate size and length, and physical 135. Kansas City Chiefs Josh Imatorbhebhe WR, Illinois Good size and superb athlete 174. Kansas City Chiefs Chris Evans RB, Michigan I still maintain that we need more juice behind CEH. CEH was the best thing on offense last night and I have full confidence in him going forward but he needs a running mate and DW31 ain't it 176. Kansas City Chiefs Joshua Kaindoh EDGE, Florida State Long rusher with supreme athleticism could be another toy for Spags 180. Kansas City Chiefs Drake Jackson IOL, Kentucky Very good in college but a little on the small side 212. Kansas City Chiefs Paddy Fisher LB, Northwestern Not ideal in pass coverage, but good size and plenty of thump |
31.
Kansas City Chiefs Jalen Mayfield OT, Michigan 63. Kansas City Chiefs Amon-Ra St. Brown WR, USC 94. Kansas City Chiefs Hunter Long TE, Boston College 135. Kansas City Chiefs Daelin Hayes EDGE, Notre Dame 174. Kansas City Chiefs Bobby Brown III IDL, Texas A&M 176. Kansas City Chiefs James Empey IOL, BYU 180. Kansas City Chiefs Shaka Toney EDGE, Penn State 212. Kansas City Chiefs Trill Williams CB, Syracuse |

Spencer Brown is probably a RT in the NFL. Seen him play quite a bit.
|
This was kind of a weird one. Bateman fell because almost all of the tackles went early. It created a log jam in the middle rounds though, so I ended up getting quite a bit of line help anyway.
31. Rashod Bateman WR Minnesota 72. Dillon Radunz OT North Dakota State trade icon 94. Patrick Jones EDGE Pitt 118. Brady Christensen OT BYU trade icon 130. Aaron Banks OG Notre Dame 167. Trey Hill OC Georgia trade icon 211. Justin Hilliard LB Ohio State trade icon 224. Ta'Quon Graham DT Texas |
We’re going to be okay, guys.
31. Jaylen Waddle WR Alabama KC 63. Dillon Radunz OT North Dakota State KC 94. Quinn Meinerz OC Wisconsin-Whitewater KC 137. Daelin Hayes EDGE Notre Dame trade icon KC 162. Robert Rochell CB Central Arkansas KC 168. Paris Ford S Pitt |
Lots of trade downs. My only regret is missing out on Michigan WR Nico Collins, who went at 93. I was hoping he'd fall to me at the start of the 4th.
KC 38. Jalen Mayfield--Starting OT on left or right side with flexibility to move inside OT Michigan trade icon KC 63. Patrick Jones--Run defender who sets the edge and has developing pass rush skills. Ideal size and above average bend and athleticism for the 4-3 edge. Can start day 1. EDGE Pitt KC 105. Quinn Meinerz--He was my late round draft crush until he blew up at the Senior Bowl. Tosses defenders like rag dolls. Hopefully he has the athleticism to work effectively in the KC offense. OC Wisconsin-Whitewater trade icon KC 106. Adrian Ealy--Developmental OT, but will hopefully provide depth and push to start in year 2. OT Oklahoma trade icon KC 127. Paulson Adebo--Chance to start year 1 on the outside. Has all the tools to stand out in Spags' system. CB Stanford trade icon KC 130. Tre McKitty--Good athlete with a nice catch radius and RAC ability. Can he learn to block at the pro level? Often looks like an oversized WR, which can be a good thing. TE Georgia KC 140. Cornell Powell--Great blocker, smart player, good route runner, and tough to bring down. Reminds me of Pringle, but younger and more polished. Ultimate team guy who should challenge for reps if he can learn the offense quickly enough. WR Clemson trade icon KC 162. Janarius Robinson--Big DE with the ability to kick inside in pass rush situations. Relentless motor and a mean streak. EDGE Florida State KC 224. Josh Ball--Lengthy OL with good weight distribution. Needs better functional strength to compete at this level, so he'll need some time to season. Good fundamentals. OT Marshall |
This would be completely awesome, in my opinion.
KC 39. Jaelan Phillips EDGE Miami (FL) trade icon KC 70. Dillon Radunz OT North Dakota State trade icon KC 73. Amari Rodgers WR Clemson trade icon KC 94. Quinn Meinerz OC Wisconsin-Whitewater KC 130. Keith Taylor CB Washington KC 143. Daelin Hayes EDGE Notre Dame trade icon KC 163. Kylin Hill RB Mississippi State trade icon KC 218. Kylen Granson TE SMU trade icon |
Not sure what everyone would think about it....but when an OT falls in the first....I’ve been able to trade up from the bottom of the 2nd round to around #40-45 for Marshall. All it costs is a 2nd rounder in 2022.

Sitting here at #31 with Freiermuth, Bateman, Moehrig, Mayfield, and Oweh available. I just can't right now. |
DOOOOOOOOOD.
I took several trade backs and by adding in some late picks was able to get a ton of picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. KC 46. Terrace Marshall Jr. WR LSU trade icon KC 63. Liam Eichenberg OT Notre Dame KC 71. Rashad Weaver EDGE Pitt trade icon KC 94. Quinn Meinerz OC Wisconsin-Whitewater KC 95. Joe Tryon EDGE Washington trade icon KC 96. I'm intrigued by the idea of adding Freiermuth and evolving the base offense even more than I'd been before. Pairing a more traditional TE with Kelce, Hill, and CEH is really an intriguing option (especially if Bateman and Marshall and the round 1-worthy T are gone by that point in time). Running a 12 set with Hill, Kelce, Freiermuth, and even Hardman would get pretty fun to defend. Keep those S deep to guard the deep speed of Hill and Hardman. Oh, you've gone dime and are planning to drop 7? Cool. We're going run from this two TE set. |
I trie to trade down 4-5 spots but couldn't get a suitable deal. I just gave up.
|
So here's a mock built around the idea of taking Freiermuth first.
The key thing here is, if you do this you are changing your starting personnel. KC shifts to a team that runs 12 personnel as its primary personnel grouping, rather than 11. 31. Pat Freiermuth, TE, Penn State 70. (trade) Walker Little, OT, Stanford 94. Quinn Meinerz, C, Wisconsin-Whitewater 136. Paulson Adebo, CB< Stanford 144. Wiliam Bradley-King, DE, Baylor 157. (trade) Richard LeCounte, S, Georgia 176. Khalil Herbert, RB, Va. Tech 180. Dez Fitzpatrick, WR, Louisville 256. Wyatt Hubert, DE, Kansas State You'd have to address a starting DE AND at least a fill-in LT in free agency. But I could see something like this being a logical evolution of the Chiefs-Reid offense, considering what teams are trying to do to Mahomes. In Freiermuth, you gain a TE who is an excellent blocker and who can be a real weapon in the middle of the field. Running a 12 set as your primary offense, whether from shotgun or under center, would set KC up to really take advantage of teams dropping two safeties deep and dictate the matchups. It all pins on how you evaluate Freiermuth, though. Is that someone ready to kick in Day 1 and play starters snaps? Is he as good as a receiver as thought? |
I like this draft but I just don't see Reid making such a radical change.
|
I'm done a bunch of mocks and just trying this out. I went with 3 OL because Chiefs needs more support up front.
31. Gregory Rousseau EDGE, Miami 63. Trey Smith IOL, Tennessee 94. Hunter Long TE, Boston College 135. Joshuah Bledsoe S, Missouri 174. Josh Imatorbhebhe WR, Illinois 176. Sadarius Hutcherson IOL, South Carolina 180. Brenden Jaimes OT, Nebraska 212. Carlo Kemp IDL, Michigan |
31.
Kansas City Chiefs Jaelan Phillips EDGE, Miami 63. Kansas City Chiefs Amon-Ra St. Brown WR, USC 94. Kansas City Chiefs Walker Little OT, Stanford 135. Kansas City Chiefs Javian Hawkins RB, Louisville 174. Kansas City Chiefs Simi Fehoko WR, Stanford 176. Kansas City Chiefs Drake Jackson IOL, Kentucky 180. Kansas City Chiefs Kelvin Joseph CB, Kentucky 212. Kansas City Chiefs Naquan Jones IDL, Michigan State |
31. Nick Bolton, LB Missouri
63. Jay Tufele, IDL, USC 94. Jackson Carman, OT, Clemson Probably move to Guard 135. Rashad Weaver, DE/Edge, Pitt 174 Kenny Yeboah, TE, Ole Miss 176. Cole Van Lanen, OT, Wisconsin 180. Josh IMatorbhebhe, WR, Illinois 212. Joshua Kaindoh, DE/Edge, Florida State - 6'7" 147 lb hope he can gain weight! |
ran one de-emphasizing OT as some of y'all think just to see what happens.
I guess if we went this route, they'd sign someone like Jason Peters to hold down the fort until Fisher gets back and start Niang at RT. If those things happen, this draft is pretty killer. KC 51. Terrace Marshall Jr. WR LSU Sammy who? KC 63. Rashad Weaver EDGE Pitt KC Should be a solid LDE with plus pass rush capability. Spags prototype. 74. Creed Humphrey OC Oklahoma Best interior lineman in the draft probably. Day one upgrade. KC 86. Joe Tryon EDGE Washington pass rush specialist in '21; Clark replacement down the road. KC 136. Austin Watkins WR UAB Another guy with similar skillset/physicality to Watkins KC 144. Divine Deablo S Virginia Tech Big, physical safety to finally upgrade the DD spot in this defense. KC 147. Paulson Adebo CB Stanford Spags prototype length and athleticism. KC 176. Jaylon Moore OT Western Michigan Is he a LT at this level? Probably not. Should be a good OG with the potential to play outside later. KC 180. Tre McKitty TE Georgia Really good receiver, decent blocker. A weapon to pair with Kelce/insurance policy. KC 256. Kayode Awosika OT Buffalo Reid likes to take college OT's and move them to guard. That's likely what happens here. |
That's actually a really good draft and somewhat realistic I think.
|
Quote:
Humphrey's almost a certain thing at this point. Weaver and Tryon should upgrade the pass rush and allow Clark to actually take some breaks. Marshall and A. Watkins both have a lot of potential at WR. Then you've got two Tyreek style burners and two Sammy style 'X' types. Deablo I like a lot. Plus, I mean, his ****ing name is Devil. You gotta like that for a head-hunting dimebacker/box safety. If you're going to replace Dirty Dan, let's do with the ****ing devil. And then after every time he de-cleats some poor soul in the flat, they can play SHOUT AT THE DEVIL over the Arrowhead sound system. I think Tre Mckitty is kind of undervalued. He's a little leaner than Kelce, but he's also faster. Still a willing blocker, but an actual weapon in the passing game. shrug... |
I like Deablo too being a Hokie fan. I mocked him to us in my first go round. I see him as a more of a playmaker than head hunter of the Kam Chancellor mold....but he definitely could be a good replacement for Sorenson

They update their player rankings pretty frequently. |
Tryon at his current weight is a pass rush specialist or 3-4 OLB. I think a year in an NFL training room could pay off and he could be a 260lb. DE on the right side.
So half the NFL will be devaluing him as an every down player. The other half probably see him as a contributor early, but a project as an every down guy. |

this is going to be a really weird draft anyway, no matter what.
No real combine; work-out warriors that usually rise after won't. It'll be all about 2019 production and some 2020, and projections. Weird. We should do well. |
Speaking of Perkins, man am I really, really high on that kid. Might be my favorite DE prospect within our range. He's a little small but he's so explosive and generates so much pressure.
|
Went in with the Assumption that the Chiefs bring in a legit #2 Receiver in Free Agency like an Allen Robinson (please) or a Cory Davis.
At 31 Cincinnati calls and offers 38 and 69 for 31 and 136. Still some guys on the board that I really like but feel this is a pretty big value for 31. (The Bengals took Teven Jenkins) KC 38. Jaelan Phillips EDGE Miami (FL) trade icon Jaelan Phillips is somehow still available and at 38 I have to take him. A legit pass rusher to improve the DL. I know OL is the big need, but you usually can't find legit pass rushers any later in the draft. KC should jump all over this. KC 63. Landon Dickerson OC Alabama At 63 another player is somehow available and it is Landon Dickerson. This is my favorite IOL in the entire draft and the Chiefs should be ecstatic to get him this early. I don't think it will happen though. I would spend 31 on this guy, I think from day one this is Pat's center for 10 Years. KC 69. Liam Eichenberg OT Notre Dame trade icon At 69 I have some nice options and really like how the board is falling. I think really hard about Tylan Wallace because I love the player, but ultimately decide I want to take an OT. We've mitigated the need for WR a little bit with FA. At Tackle I have to choose between Eichenburg, Radunz and S. Brown. I choose Eichenburg, because he is probably the most ready to play today given the uncertainty at OT and has some versatility. KC 94. Tommy Tremble TE Notre Dame KC This is probably my favorite pick. At 94 I go TE. Not a huge need but love the value of the player. I like the WR's available and do think really hard about Stevenson but can't pass up Tommy Tremble this late on the board. Tremble comes in right away and really improves the versatility of the offense. Kelce is already the best TE in the game but now with Tremble it is easily the best TE room in the NFL. 144. Paulson Adebo CB Stanford At the end of the 4th round I take the best available CB hoping to strike gold again like last year. At this spot I like the value who can hopefully be a day 1 outside corner for us if we don't bring back Breeland. I do strongly consider Caden Sterns here as well just to bring in another safety if we don't bring back Sorenson. But ultimately went corner. Like last year I like this spot to bring in quality and experienced DB's. KC 176. Jaylon Moore OT Western Michigan Here in the 5th I go with another OL in Jaylon Moore. Make it 3 OL drafted to inject that position with talent. I like Jaylon Moore here as a good experienced player to have in the room. Hopefully a 5th round rookie doesn't have to start day 1 but I like the player here as a developmental tackle. KC 180. Anthony Schwartz WR Auburn I know that speedy slot receiver isn't the need, but after bringing in an X receiver in FA, I can't pass up the speed and athleticism here this late. KC 256. Grant Stuard LB Houston At 256 I take the highest LB left on the board. I have my doubts KC will even pick here come May. With this draft I have successfully improved the lines of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, which should be goal #1 of this offseason. At 38 and 63 alone I believe i've brought in 2 guys that on Day 1 drastically improve the line of scrimmage. I don't know that KC is going to get an offer like that for 31 and I'm not sure some of the players will fall to where they did, but I love the haul of players we bring in. Starting OL Week 1 Eichenburg-Allegretti-Dickerson-LDT-Niang. That is an absolutely improved group over last year from a talent perspective. |
this draft kicks ass:
KC 41. Jaelan Phillips EDGE Miami (FL) trade icon KC 63. Liam Eichenberg OT Notre Dame KC 71. Amari Rodgers WR Clemson trade icon KC 93. Joe Tryon EDGE Washington trade icon KC 94. Josh Myers OC Ohio State KC 144. Paulson Adebo CB Stanford KC 176. Jaelon Darden WR North Texas KC 180. Joshua Bledsoe S Missouri KC 256. Brendan Jaimes OT Nebraska |
****ing fixed. Cut Fisher and keep LDT and Niang.
31. Rashawn Slater OT Northwestern KC 66. Creed Humphrey OC Oklahoma trade icon KC 94. Quinn Meinerz OC Wisconsin-Whitewater KC 136. Aaron Banks OG Notre Dame KC 144. David Moore OG Grambling State KC 147. Drake Jackson OC Kentucky trade icon KC 176. Jack Anderson OG Texas Tech KC 180. Dan Moore OT Texas A&M |
Seriously though. Took a trade down and grabbed Marshall. Then traded up in the 3rd to grab Meinerz.
41. Terrace Marshall Jr. WR LSU trade icon KC 63. Dillon Radunz OT North Dakota State KC 72. Rashad Weaver EDGE Pitt trade icon KC 88. Quinn Meinerz OC Wisconsin-Whitewater trade icon KC 136. Shaun Wade S Ohio State KC 176. Anthony Schwartz WR Auburn KC 180. Malcolm Koonce EDGE Buffalo KC 256. Jermar Jefferson RB Oregon State |
Shaun Wade at 136? I'm gonna stick up for my boy and say their rankings are ****ing whack.
6'1" 195 and runs a 4.41, physical. Can play man, play zone, gets home on blitzes, plays the run extremely well, and is an outstanding tackler. He has the versatility to play the slot. Etc. Ohio State CBs are well respected by the NFL. He needs some work in press and disrupting high-point catches, both coming from lack of game experience on the outside. He's been compared to Minkah Fitzpatrick who went at 11, and honestly, he might be best as a FS. As a corner, I don't think he lasts past the end of 2. If a team wants him as a FS and he shows willingness in interviews, he could go in the 1st. No way, just no ****ing way, he goes in the late 4th. |

Divine Deablo S Virginia Tech KC 144. Paulson Adebo CB Stanford KC 176. Ellerson Smith EDGE Northern Iowa KC 194. Quintin Morris TE Bowling Green trade icon KC 256. Lorenzo Neal DT Purdue |
Just ran the first 3 rounds. There were 7 OT taken before our pick; 6 WR gone; and 4 Edge players selected before the Chiefs pick. There were, however, no DT taken before our pick, so...
1. DT Christian Barmore 2. CB Shaun Wade 3. Edge Janarius Robinson Bummer to come out of the first three rounds without an OT or a WR, but maybe we can build a defensive line capable of getting pressure without blitzing. Or maybe I'm an idiot. |
Did the first 3 rounds too.
31. OT Alijah Vera-Tucker 63. ED Joseph Ossai 94. WR Amon-Ra St Brown 100. C Quinn Meinerz - Traded picks 144 and 180 |
31.

Vera-Tucker is going before #31, just saying. He probably goes in the late teens.

Lots of trades, the OL value never got to me really in any round. Kind of sucked so I went BPA mostly instead.
32. Rashod Bateman WR Minnesota trade icon 63. Jabril Cox LB LSU 95. Dayo Odeyingbo EDGE Vanderbilt trade icon 128. Shaun Wade S Ohio State trade icon 136. David Moore OG Grambling State 140. Shaka Toney EDGE Penn State trade icon 156. Drake Jackson OC Kentucky trade icon 176. Malcolm Koonce EDGE Buffalo 180. Jack Anderson OG Texas Tech 196. Nick Eubanks TE Michigan trade icon |
Passed on Bateman to take Mayfield, hoping to find value at WR in the 2nd or 3rd but it ended up that DE was where it was at. Offensive line was deep well into the middle rounds. Didn't really address WR but this draft shores up both lines in a big way.
31. Jalen Mayfield OT Michigan 63. Carlos Basham Jr. EDGE Wake Forest 94. Joe Tryon EDGE Washington 144. David Moore OG Grambling State 165. Trey Hill OC Georgia trade icon 176. Jaylon Moore OT Western Michigan 180. Landon Young OT Kentucky 201. Anthony Schwartz WR Auburn trade icon 205. Kelvin Joseph CB Kentucky trade icon 230. Lorenzo Neal DT Purdue trade icon 256. Tre Walker WR San Jose State |
