This is a stupid way to do it.

They should have just kept the cap flat.

No one knows at this point because the only new broadcast deal that's been announced was with ESPN and even they denied the figure that leaked.

The NFL is looking to double their Broadcast Rights Fees, which would put their revenue at somewhere around $18 Billion, effectively doubling the salary cap but again, no details have been released.

That number could be tiered as well, meaning the cap would slowly rise over the course of the 10 year deal.

Dak was looking really good before he got hurt.

I don't really see it that way.

By decreasing the cap in 2021, teams can purge their rosters of bad contracts now and start fresh in 2022 with a much higher salary cap moving forward.

Keeping it flat just delays the inevitable.

What else is new?

I think most on here, once we got over the sticker shock, we saw how the $500 million was structured thought it was a helluva deal for the Chiefs and our ability to keep good players around Mahomes. He has good people around him. He will end up being a billionaire.

He was 1-3 and should’ve been 0-4. He threw for a ton of empty calorie yards. He’s average at best. Not even a top 10 QB
