His energy and voice are all wrong for Vermeil.

He should be playing Gunther, not mild-mannered Dick Vermeil.

Greg Kinnear was perfect casting and never should have been changed. But the people who produced this movie probably just went with the only past-his-prime A-lister they could find.

Quaid does a lot of these sort of Christian produced movies nowadays so he was probably an easy get.

That's a big red flag, particularly given that the Warners are the producers. I think I'll take a pass on this sermon...er, movie.
