The Matrix Resurrections (2021)

Spoiler!
They really should have brought back Monica Bellucci though. She is so ****ing fine. https://media-vogue-fr.cdn.ampprojec...542340166.jpeg |

Also regarding Agent Smith in Ressurections:
Spoiler!

This sounds like a total piece of garbage, thanks for the heads up

Meh. I'll still watch it.
Still mad that i didn't see Dune when it was on HBO. |
Don't let my comments deter you. I always recommend watching to see for yourself.
I'll just say: if you were expecting something groundbreaking on par with the original, dial back your expectations and you might enjoy it. |

And those were my expectations before reading any comments. I don't mind dumb movies so long as they're visually appealing enough to capture the imagination. |

Monica Bellucci is damn near 60 years old these days and has gotten pretty 'angular' as she's aged. I mean still a damn dime for being in her late 50s, but very clearly in her late 50s. But yeah, it's about damn near impossible to be any hotter than she was in Malena. Late 90s/early 200s Monica Bellucci was pretty near perfection. |

The only thing that bothers me, as someone else said,is the agent calling him Tom instead or Mr Anderson. |

I thought the Matrix Resurrections was awesome. I loved it
|
It's shit with chunks of corn in it. If you like corn, then...well...dig in, I guess.

Looks like a bowl of snot |

Movie itself was about a 6/10. |

And if the director was actually tanking this project on purpose as rumored I can at least understand it. I don't agree but it really was their creation and the studio threatening to make it with our without them has to suck. |

This movie was ****ing awful. I was out of town when I saw it and watched it at a local theatre.
Almost walked out. Its a god damn mushy love story between Neo and Trinity. We've aleady seen that. This movie didn't need to be made.....at all. |

Did anyone else find it awkwardly cringey how easily Trinity said **** You to her husband and family?
|
Quote:
Her husband's name was Chad, and she's a 40 something woman looking to free herself. LMAO Clever writing. |

You won't walk out wanting to poke your own eyes out but don't expect much. The whole franchise went from great to, well see above. |
eh....was entertained.
As others have said - better than 3, but worse than 1 and 2. |
Wasn't bad...I was entertained though. Don't think it needs more movies but it had that nostalgia and it was cool seeing Carrie Ann moss and Keanu back together.

There wasn't a single thing good about this movie. Couldn't even enjoy the nostalgia because it was so bad. |

Honestly I really think the part where they talk about how the executives are going to make the new Matrix game with or without Neo is a not very subtle instance of art immitating life. IMO the Wachowskis were told "we're making a new Matrix movie with or without you" and the one that agreed to do it either mailed it in or flat out sabatoged it so they wouldn't have to make any more. |
Has anyone apologized for making this garbage yet?
|
I just got around to watching this, and I have only one question -
What in the ****? |

Holy shit i forgot this movie even existed. Can't say ive even seen it advertised on a streaming service etc.

As a matter of fact, I wished I had forgotten about it. Thanks for nothing, Netflix. |
The first half of the movie was somewhat interesting, even if it felt like they tried to smash all three former Matrix movies into an hour and a half. The rest was a rushed and off kilter mess. The guy that played Smith was good, but I never understood the purpose of his character outside of Deus Ex Machina-ing Doogie at the end.
Weird movie; made little sense outside of it being a love story and giving Neo and Trinity their happily every after. |
This movie was frustratingly weird. I tried to rewatch it, but it just made me angry.

Looked cheap, terrible writing, undoes all the positives from the previous three, and when it tries to embrace what it once was it looks like parody. Same as the Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters, and pretty much every re-entry outside of Blade Runner and Dune... |
