Henry Ford Jr. had it purpose built to win LeMans after Enzo Ferrari scuttled a deal for Ford to buy Ferrari's racing division. Ford was so pissed off that he essentially spared no expense to try to build a LeMans car in about 18 months.

After a couple of stumbles, the 2nd (maybe 3rd) iteration of it just dominated everything. Won pretty much every race they entered it in.

All because a rich guy got his feelings hurt.

An absolute legend of a rally car. Had that little Ferraro Dino V-6 in it that revved to the heavens and just tore the hell out of any surface you put it on.

Ford vs. Ferrari, good flick. I'm not sure how accurate it reflected the actual story though.

'71 Hemi Road Runner

In 1979 I had saved up enough money to buy a 1970 Ford Torino Super Cobra with the 429. We lived on a Army base and there was a young Captain that had just been ordered to Korea and had it up for sale for $3500. I was 15 at the time and my parents shot me down. Said I would most likely kill myself in it.
This isn't the actual car but it looked just like it. Small potatoes in the car world but I wouldn't mind having a nice restored or resto 70 Torino.

I was going to throw on a 69. Maybe I'm partial because Dad had one, but 69 was the apex of the Camaro.

I would drive the shit out of that if it were the 4WD version. Pink and all... IDGAF. I'm a huge fan of the Suzuki Samurai / Geo Tracker (I know they aren't directly related but the same small 2 door off-roader concept).

My buddy had one in college. We roasted him all the time for it but we all miss that thing. It was actually a fun car, great to pop the top off and take it to the beach.

I sure wouldn't kick the '70 out of the garage. Love them as well. The '69 has a special spot for me as a good friend had one in high school. He was the king of drag races.
