If we win this week, the West is just about over. Earlier than normal this year.
|
Pre season championship seems so long ago.
|
We've seen this movie every freaking year. They don't even try to change the script. Underachieving Chargers coming in to Arrowhead with a losing record and somehow they'll play out of their minds, the board will melt down the whole game and it'll come down the the final possession like it always does and the Chiefs escape with a 3 point win. You could bet everything you own on it.

No Mike Williams Spent all that money last year on Chief-stopping players and the only thing they have left to show for it is Kahlil Mack. Realistically, all of the division games for the rest of this year are "Well.... any given Sunday..." games. They pose no threat to us other than the baseline threat that comes with playing ANY game in the NFL, such as injuries, Carl Cheffers, too much farting around on offense, etc.... |
Twitter is apparently saying the Chargers fan was a plant. She had a brand new jersey, cheered "Get em!" when the Chargers were on offense, took off her glasses half way through the game.
I'm just saying people are saying. Edit: well now Tom is saying she's a regular fan

Sorry, conspiracy theorists: The #Chargers fan who went viral Monday night and her husband are season ticket holders who rent cabana suites every season for multiple games, I’m told.

They’re true diehard fans — not actors — and wanted to get the word out. pic.twitter.com/pnHtKSvWlg
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) October 17, 2023
Tom was a skeptic this morning on GMFB (IE - he wasn't afraid to go against the NFL shield). So I tend to believe him on this. |

It was very surprising to hear an actual legion of Chargers "fans" at last night's game, especially considering their opponent was the Cowboys...
But now it makes sense... likely paid actors. |

There's an American Express commercial on i-heart radio and they say "youre two favorite teams are going head to head! The game is about to tip off" I'm thinking wtf? WTF has two favorite teams? Whoever wrote that obvisouly doesn't ACTUALLY even WATCH sports. I'll be damned...maybe it was Mav! |

But, your real dad lived in Minnesota, and when you were 12 you moved there to live with him. Your dad is a Vikings fan, and watching the games with him was the best because you really started to bond with him. So, now you are a Chiefs fan, because you have been a fan your whole life, and now you are a Vikings fan because of the relationship you have with your father. I could never cheer for 2 teams in any sport, I like the Chiefs, Royals, and Jayhawks, and I don't care about any other teams, and never will. But, there are absolutely legit reasons to cheer for more than one team in a given sport. |

He's crap and doesn't know what to do. What the hell was his resume to get the job? He was DC of a stacked team? It's obvious hem doesn't know what he's doing.
|
I hope they sign him to an extension.
|
Remember how the Chargers offensive issues last year were all the fault of their OC? Also how their new coordinator was supposed to fix it? Perhaps their QB is the problem and not the OC.

They won't be a threat unless they hire a Sean McVay/Kyle Shanahan level coordinator and make them HC, and even that's hit or miss. To maximize Herbert's potential, whatever that might be, they won't achieve it with the current coaching staff and that's been proven at this point. It's nice to see the Raiders, Chargers and Broncos are relatively in the same position and us being the only stable organization out of our division.
|
Overrated Justin Herbert had Quentin Johnston wide open the play before Hardman broke their backs.

I know he doesn't have very good coach and staff but he should play better at this point. His team has been loaded with talent since he got there and he doesn't do damage with the game on the line over and over again. He has the wheels to make plays and doesn't and he misses guys open. He's Smith but taller with girl hair.

He could fit it in to Johnston but the Chiefs are playing C2 so the safety is over the top there. |

Can't blame the coaches/players/injuries for all of that. |

You won't get the QB right. Even if he's smart and talented, there are very few players who can change coordinators every year or every couple years while still being successful. Especially if they're young QBs. And if you're a defense guy, you're at the mercy of how good your OC and coaching staff. If he's great, he'll get plucked to go coach somewhere else because he's in demand. If he's bad, you either have to replace him a bunch or settle for your QB having a bad OC. I don't care if the defensive guy is an absolute mastermind of a coach. I wouldn't hire him. And I ESPECIALLY wouldn't hire him if he were just some Division 3 loser with only a couple of years' experience in the NFL who impressed me with colorful pie charts in the interviews. Owners have got to stop being swindled by these turds. They're no good for what the game is today. |

It's obvious there will be changes next year for the Chargers at this point. They will need an offensive guy. Their first challenge to success is to get past the Chiefs in the division. What better way than someone with first hand experience in the competitor's organization.
Looking forward to Chargers going all Charger and hiring Eric Bieniemy as their next coach. Probably not the worst hiring choice they could make, but should help the Chiefs for a few more years with owning the division. |

Many people are wondering where Belichick will go after this year and one of the top places rumored is the Chargers. That would be interesting
|
The narrative that Suckbert is a victim of everything going on with the Chargers is hilarious.
Mahomes has won in the past despite bad defensive play, drops by his WR’s, questionable coaching decisions, etc. |

The Chargers are terrible at finishing games. Lack of discipline. Lack of focus. Lack of accountability. All those Cummmanders players who whined about EB riding them hard this past offseason? The Chargers could use some of that. |
Belichick is not going to a division where he has to play
Andy Reid/Mahomes twice a year. |
