Where are the gathering spots in the lot with CPers?

I'd definitely be down to crack a Championship beer before the game but I might be cutting it close on time.

In the grass along Dubiner Circle between F and N... close to F24.

What's a safe amount of time to give yourself to get into the stadium from that location?

Its been awhile since I've hung in the lot.

I walked to the stadium gates 90 minutes prior to kickoff and it was very quick, after warnings that 60 minutes prior was barely enough time for the Steelers game.

So, from that perspective, could potentially have waited a little while longer, but there were still a decent number of people heading to the gate and tailgates being torn down.

According to a friend who has seats in a similar area, that is face value this year.

I can probably give you a ride to/from the game, if not other CPers who are staying in whichever area you choose.... if not Lyft, which I'd recommend over Uber's price gouging during large events.

That's where I stay when I'm in town. Easy on/off to 670 and 10 minutes to getting in line to park at Arrowhead.

Plus walking distance to some great places to grab a beer/eat.

Putting this in the OP hoping it helps someone score tickets...

Word of advice, guys.

Check Ticketmaster multiple times daily. Turn off the resale slider so you only see availability directly from the Chiefs.

They release tickets all the time, usually super low numbers early in the week and more later in the week that were returned by the visiting team.

Be prepared though, a friend showed me the face value pricing structure and it's steep.

There won't be any upper level seats - but will be some in club and in the 123-124 sections, as well as between the 30's on the visitors side.

Gonna run between $400-$800 per.

Dude, I get it. From what I saw tickets in your neighborhood were around $500-$600 for the first two games and double that for the AFCCG.

That's insane.

The prices from the Chiefs aren't going to change - so if you check multiple times daily and come across something my suggestion would be to grab them.

If that fails, then yeah - resale *should* start dropping on Thursday/Friday.

This is all just my opinion, but let's just say I pay a ton of attention to this stuff for both Chiefs Football and Blues hockey.

The LL is built underground, so it's very difficult for the wind to get there. That, along with being closer to the action, are the reasons why I always get LL seats, price be damned.

Meh, I'm in 303 and don't really get too much wind up there.

Lzen 01-25-2022 08:42 AM

So I guess for my tailgate, we should try to go with the plan that we had for the Wild Card and tailgate near F24.

I will say that half my house has been sick (just bad colds as far as I can tell - yes, people had viruses before COVID. :) ) for the past week. It hasn't gotten me (knock on wood) and hopefully I can keep it away. Been taking Airborne every day. Don't know if that is all it's cracked up to be but it seems to be helping.

I'm still planning to be there and wouldn't miss this unless I got really sick. My son's birthday is Sunday and my wife offered to give her ticket to him. So that's another reason to go. He's not sure if he can go but we'll see what happens by the end of the week. Hope to see you all there.

I used to have a coworker who owned Warriors season tickets. The first year they made it to the finals, she sold all but one of the home games to pay for her season tickets. I get it but I would want to be there for that first one.

Not a bad seat in the house. Get whatever fits into your price range. Weather will be mild, so even the nosebleeds are good.

Have a blast. There’s no quite experience like the first time in Arrowhead…

Still going strong. Blind Tiger is famous. Their beers regularly win awards at world beer competitions. According to their website,
Quote:

the Blind Tiger Brewery and Brewmaster John Dean won 21 National Medals & World Awards at National and International Competitions.
Late 90s, huh? That was about the time my band playing there regularly.

Remington's, lol. That used to be called the meat market. It had formerly been a department store (Kmart?) that they turned into a big country bar. They also would occasionally have concerts there (Vince Neil, Jackal, etc.) That place closed many years ago.

ptlyon 01-26-2022 10:03 AM

Yeah I think it was a walmart or Kmart. YUGE. Good times.

You're probably better off just buying a parking pass. I think the two longest waits for me were a World Series game in in 2014 and this past weekend, and neither were more than like 20-30 minutes to get onto a highway and up to reasonable highway speed. It's pretty efficient.

You could park in L... it feels like you're a mile away and might be less of a wait to get out of the parking lot.

You don't want to park off site unless you want your windows busted out and have to walk a mile after the game. There are some lots, but they are pretty shady. Buy a parking pass this week-Not day of game, and enjoy the best tailgating in America!

Don't go I70- it is a cluster. Use the 40 Highway entrance by the I 70 Drive In. Try to get a Red pass and be there either half hour before the gates open or wait a half hour until the initial rush is over and it should be smooth sailing.

Make sure to have your parking pass pulled up on your phone to get in.

Oh, and don't let the parking lot Nazi's put you in the wrong lot. If they try to steer you away from Red- just ignore them.

Bring more beer than you think you will need-lol

Pack up and get in line an hour and fifteen minutes before kickoff if you want to see the pre-celebrations. Have your tickets pulled up-because the internet is sketchy at the Hy Vee entrance ( or log onto the Chiefs internet)

No coolers, weapons, booze, brass knuckles, bongs, live animals allowed inside.

Go Chiefs!!
