The only reason I’m saying anything is because you’re wrong and you’ve been wrong about this team and it’s makeup since the day Patrick Mahomes was drafted. You have a problem with building around a drafted QB for some absurd reason AND you’re condescending and passive aggressive about it.

I give you rep comments about a great many things including football takes.

The only time I engage you like this is when you, once again, go in your stupid diatribes about team building and passively aggressively suggesting that those of us who wanted Mahomes are somehow now getting what we deserve. Don’t pretend that’s not what you’re doing either - MANY people have seen it, not just me.

I don't know if your assertion that I OPPOSE building around a drafted QB is just wrong or purposefully deceptive, and at this point the distinction is of little utility for me.

That has never been my position, and I've stated it clearly and unequivocally NUMEROUS times, . . . so it trends to purposefully lying to assert it against me now.

The point is, a drafted QB is supposed to be the foundation to give you a leg up, not a point to settle into the easy chair and say 'we did it' everything's fine now. We have the thing that will fix everything we neglect from here on out.

Buildng a winning franchise is a comprehensive effort, and if you aren't maximizing your potential, you're squandering it as it ages and gets richer and accumulated injuries.

Aside from his cap hit, there is nothing about acquiring Mahomes that says anyone in the building gets to take a breath and take it easy. And that's the problem I've been critical of. And the more time passes, the more his cap hit erodes our capacity to compensate top-level talent and effort, so pursuing excellence becomes a time-intesified endeavor as soon as you have that component that makes you a potential champion.

And none of that merits your tact with me. But I'm not your daddy, comport yourself as you see fit.

Jesus, I was lurking on the Dolphins' board, and they are talking Tua as a probowler, division title, etc.

Their QB is a ****ing turd. You aren't doing shit without a decent one.

This, end of thread. This is what it is about, end of story.

I’m excited for the memes where hill is 70 yards downfield and looking bad with sadness as the ball flutters 15 yards short

They must be figuring that if they have enough weapons, surely Tua can hit one of them?

Tyreek Hill, Jalen Waddle, Cedrick Wilson, and Mike Gesicki is a pretty sick set of receiving options. Edmonds and Gaskin are't bad out of the backfield either. I didn't include Parker because I expect they'll try to trade him now.

It all hinges on that OLine though. Tua needs alot of protection to be efficient. If Armstead can stay healthy, they could be decent.

Still can't fathom Tua performing at a level that upends both New England and Buffalo.

Tua is not a creator on his own. He's a distributor who should not have been on the field year 1 and had zero protection year 2.

He's more talented than Mac Jones who many NFL fans went crazy over. Cheetah plus Waddle is video game stuff and his new coach will be running the Shanahan system.

Buying this stock.

Maybe it’s the baker effect. This way the coaching staff can say look at all the tools he has and can’t win shit. Get me a different one.

The answer is kind of the same when you ask why the Broncos did the deal they did for Russell Wilson.

Who, specifically, is doing that?

HemiEd 03-24-2022 03:17 AM

It is so obvious, they are going to install the Cheetah at running back / hogfarmer

They had to do something to keep their fan base engaged after the legal issues with the last coach and a possible swing and miss on Tua. This was otherwise a terrible trade for them. Imagine what they could've had with the pics they gave up.

On another note, most of the amazing plays that Hill made in KC were a product of a QB capable of chucking the ball 60 yards in the air off his back foot or on the run. Tua isn't that same type of QB, so it'll be interesting to see how Hill produces there.

irafreak 03-24-2022 10:50 AM

I say it's a conspiracy. The AFC west and the bills sat down and said we have to weaken the chiefs. Where can we send tyreek hill? Jets or dolphins!

I doubt the plan was to get the Chiefs 5 picks for a WR. No matter how good that receiver is his game still relies on his QBs ability and last I checked the Chiefs still have Mahomes.

Yeah it really could hurt hill's legacy. He could've finished his career as a legend. Now he'll waste away with mediocre quarterback play.

Considering the speed MIA now has on offense and the focus on adding playmakers and an addition to the OL, what is the O/U (games played) on them getting frustrated with Tua and moving to Teddy B?
