What am I forgetting?

I think he also had a late INT in the 2018 AFC Championship right after the Edelman muffed punt was ruled a no touch.

That prompted Tony Romo to evoke the Rasheed Wallace, "Ball don't lie." remedy.

It wasn’t just Chiefs fans who were ripping Sorensen last year… former players were ripping his play as well.

srvy 03-25-2022 05:51 PM

Yeah I do lot of turd posters have ripped the kid on day one. He played for a coach with an offense mentality. The money went to offense so these type players are what you get.

Sure I believe it hell it's been this way with most every player that exits.

Wasn't Number 3 the last pass that Rivers threw as a Charger?

And #5 on your list is far and away my #1 moment. That was the biggest adrenaline surge that I've ever had during a Chiefs game. At that moment I knew that we were destined to win.

This is an interception that I particularly enjoyed. (Click the link - stupid NFL rules.)

Why on God's beautiful green and blue Earth would they cut Sorensen this year? The year we're punting? The great rebuild? Veach is such an idiot he can't keep the same theme going from day to day. F this cut. Veach should cut his damn self.

The Chiefs aren't cutting Daniel Sorensen.

The clock ran out on his contract. His last contract with the Chiefs was for one year.

Dan, Thanks for your contribution to the Chiefs these last 8 years. You made us stand up and cheer when you made timely tackles. You pissed us off when you were three steps behind a receiver.

It was time to make a change.

Good luck with the Saints.

No offense but do you actually want them to pay Dan again? I love the guy because he’s a lovable player but he’s still really bad and declining.

I would be shocked if he’s not even worse this year

The signing fits into the window for free agents signings to be considered into the formula for comp picks.

That window starts with the beginning of NFL free agency and goes to the Monday following the draft.

It will be interesting to see what kind of contract Dan signs for.

Only 32 comp picks are given out, so probably doubtful that Dan's signing will get KC a pick, but we will see.

I'm kidding lol, the great play every once in a while isn't greater than the constant 30+ yard plays he gave up.

Ah. :) I didn’t read very far down into the latest posts. I did hear several folks in the media mention that Sorensen got cut and that the Chiefs should look into bringing him back. I suspect Dan may be moving onto the next chapter in his life. He was a gutsy player & fun to watch most of the time. Favorite Sorensen play: when he sniffed out the fake punt against the Texans. That was the beginning of one of the best comebacks I’ve ever seen. (Kind of funny that the person he tackled was Justin Reid.)

They tried to bring Niemann back already this year, if you think they wouldn’t consider Dan you might be in for a surprise.

These coaches will take veterans who “know the system” over more talented guys 9/10 times.
