Are my realistic #29 & #30 picks |
Just seen you can get 500/1 odds on the Chiefs taking a punter/kicker/long snapper with their first pick made in the draft.
Easy money. |
|
I'm ready for Treylon Burks to become a Chief.
|
Looking forward to hearing how the Giants "won the draft" ... by having the 5th and 7th overall picks.
It's hard to fail. Even though a couple years from now, you know at least one of those guys won't be on the team. |

Not gonna bitch if the Chiefs draft him because I trust Bat Vatch. But as of right now, without the Chiefs crafting my homer opinion and telling me what to think, I don't like this guy at all. |
Finally the day is here that we add Chasten Waston and George Bartokomous to my favorite NFL football team - the CHIEFS!

8 teams have 2 first round picks. That's ****ing nutty.
Lions at 2 and 31 Texans at 3 and 13 Jets at 4 and 10 Giants at 5 and 7 Eagles at 15 and 18 Saints at 16 and 19 Packers at 22 and 28 Chiefs at 29 and 30 |

I don't like drafting at the end of the first. That's not something I just came up with this year. Been a long history of ti. |

I actually kind of prefer it, you know, to the alternative. |

I heard from Denis Leary that they win in Dallas. A LAAOOOT |

Anyone else think there will be a ton of trades tonight?
|
Quote:
That's entirely different. |
Quote:
I think you'll see some action at the end, around pick 24 with teams trading back into R1 as it closes. |
Unless there's some surprising team who drafts a receiver early...it seems like Wilson, Williams, London and Olave will all be going early and GB are probably gonna go with Dotson or Burks..leaving us with the one they dont choose, plus Pickens and Watson. The winds seem to be blowing hard in Pickens direction right now if you listen to media folks but we'll see.

If we don’t trade up I’m taking Pickens and Gordon

I learned a long time ago to not get too invested in this. Going to watch as an observer and enjoy the Draft as it unfolds. I trust Brendon Vickory.
Also, it's great entertainment watching the other teams overreach and/or screw up. |
Quote:
The reason we draft at the end of first round and do note it's basically end of each round is because we win Championships or in championship games. Losers pick first winners pick last that's design by draft based on record. This is also not a band new thing. Unless trades are made but that can cost additional players & or draft picks so you have to be careful exactly what you want to give up in order to move up in the draft. I know it must suck for some to win Championships and pick last in every round we should trade Patrick Mahomes for a first and draft a punter. |
Quote:
|
Sure seems like the same 5-6 guys getting mocked to us for the last month.
Which means we're in for a surprise tonight. |
The more I think about it the more I want 3 defensive players with our first 3 picks and then take a flyer on someone like Pierce/Pickens/Metchie III with pick 62.
Or trade up to get a falling DE out of the top 4. I think we need to concentrate on defense. An offense of Kelce, Juju, MVS and Hardman is plenty good enough when you have a Mahomes. Patriots built their offense off a strong defence and we can start doing that tonight. |
Quote:
I doubt very seriously they throw a bunch of picks at going way up in the first. It's not that kind of draft, it's not necessary. |

Drafting at the end of the first round every year is ****ing awesome! In fact, I'd like the Chiefs to draft at #32 every single year. Can we make that happen? |

Mafe and Gordon. There's a lot of mock drafts that have Gordon to the Chiefs and I'm here for all of them. |
Quote:
Mafe's age scares me a bit but whatever. |
Tom Pelissero just said Howell and Ridder are likely gonna go in the late first and teams are calling to jump Detroit.
He specifically mentioned Cincy and KC as prime spots |

I'll just be ****ing happy if they go DE and CB in the first. |
Kyler Gordon just screams KC CB.

They really need to maximize those top 50 picks.
We should be able to come away with 3 really good players. Whether they trade up from 29, and/or trade back from 30, or up from 50, just move around to make sure you get the most out of those first 3 picks. |
Quote:
Why would they take Elam or Booth when they just took Gordon? |
Quote:

I think my prediction right now is:
Trade up for Karlaftis. My guess is jumping Arizona at 23...most logical spot is the Pats at 21. Elam, Booth or Gordon at 30 but a trade down could be possible. Hopefully not down far enough to where they miss out on one of those CBs. WR at 50....maybe a slight trade up to get one. After I said all that....they'll probably take Gordon at 29, trade down from 30 and grab Drake Jackson and George Pickens in the 2nd. |
Quote:
Pats are notorious for wanting to move back and add picks and their asking price usually isn't too high, so I think a late 4th could get it done (maybe throw in a 7th too). If Pats like the LB from Georgia (Walker), they could likely still get him at #29. Chiefs get Karlaftis at #21, and agree that they still grab Gordon at #30 (assuming he's there and they keep the pick, versus trading back into the 2nd for more picks). |
