My carefully calculated prediction... You kick cancer's ass so impressively that they have no choice but to make you a CP mod.
Get it done, bud. Best of luck. |
Been there. Have two, maybe more appointments with Oncology a year... Depends on blood work. The last round was good. I am not dying yet. Going on year 8 or 9. So hang there.
|
Sorry to hear that. Just be stubborn as hell and do what the doctors tell ya.
|
Prayers sent good sir. Hopefully they caught it early.

8 or 9 is great but like many others have said this isn't the 80s. Medicine has advanced 10 fold. I'm trying to stay optimistic until my doctor gives us our "plan" |
I've tried to thank everyone the best I could.
I love to say it again....this place is a "community". Not a forum.....I've talked to people in real life. I truly and really think everyone for their prayers. |
HayWire what is your previous CP user name?
|
Quote:
The name I wanted was taken.... AC change it for me one Saturday Moring. |
Prayers coming your way...kick it's Ass...and oh yeah F cancer!!

I'll come up with something.... My Pa called..... God Bless CP |
I hope everything works out. It is amazing what we can do medically these days.

Good luck to you. The medical world is on your side, and they're big.

Let's have some fun.
I normally get goofy late in the day. Since my body can't handle anything it goes straight to my noodle. Might as well have fun, right? |

We CPers aren't smart like we should be. We should set up fights and charge money. Proceeds go to the new server. |

Yeah, one of the hardest parts for me was the 40 min trip each way to Branson to the Cancer center every day. Got to know several people during the experience including the nurses. Like others have said, fight fight fight! Never give up! |

Sorry to hear this, prayers for complete healing.

I'm trying to keep up but it doesn't always work. Tomorrow might be different but today is today. I think I might surprise my wife and shave my beard today. |

A coworker buddy of mine had some CA in the gut. They took quite a bit of intestine in surgery followed by treatments. That was 15 years ago and he is still surfing 3-5 days a week off of Pidgeon Point, Ca approaching the age of 60. Tough bastard.
Keep on keeping on HW |
Props to the call Rasy

I went from 185 to 148 within a couple of months during treatment. I had to carry a pillow with me because I couldn’t sit my bony ass on chairs made of metal or wood lol. Eventually strength and weight return.

If we here can, in any way, take some of that so you and your family don't have to, it's a worthwhile trade. :thumb: We love you brother. Keep your head up and keep fighting. |
HayWire, do you feel up to going to the Raiders game? If so, I'd give you two row 5 lower level tickets. Just figured you could maybe use something positive right now. I can't think of anything much more positive than beating the shit out of the Raiders.

Make a plan to beat that shit. Try to be as specific as possible, like "Step 1, be conscientious about my medication/chemo/whatever, Step 2 . . ." and so on.
Then make a plan for what you're going to do when you actually beat that shit, again be specific. I'm pulling for you, bud. Hang tough. And be mad; as long as that motivates you to do something positive about your situation, that's a good thing. |

My sack of bones can't handle it on my own. Trying to find someone to go with me. Regardless....you're a damn good person |

I don't think my body can handle a 3 hour drive there, tailgate, watch the game, and a 3 hour drive home. I truly appreciate the offer and you are now my favorite poster. God bless |
