Oh, I know. Everything now for LeBron for the rest of his career is about playing with his son and everything else is secondary. I still would prefer he left this trash heap of an organization and tried to win while he's still actually good.

LMAO As if Klutch Sports and LeBron aren't the main catalysts for the sorry shape that franchise is in now. At their urging the Lakers traded away Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Montrezl Harrell, and 4 first round picks for Street Clothes and Westbrick.

It's a waste of time.

He loves to play stupid with LeGM.

Sassy Squatch 10-19-2022 03:12 PM

That's why it's so fun to "remind" him. Especially when he's getting out of pocket about the Durant Warriors, even though LeBron, DWade, and Bosh actually colluded to circumvent the Salary Cap to sign together.

Well, yeah, but it's a funnier narrative to expose the hypocrisy of the LeBron Stan than just pointing out the simple facts of the matter.

-King- 10-19-2022 04:18 PM

This thread is literally the same every single season. That's why I stopped posting in it. It just becomes a KCC LeBron slurp session with him posting a bunch of Barry tweets.

Sassy Squatch 10-19-2022 04:22 PM

Well, the NBA Regular season is about as intriguing as watching a dog snarf it's own gooch. Thats the result of having 20/30 teams getting into the playoffs. Hell, a bunch of nationally televised games will have multiple stars that people would actually like to see sitting out because of "load management". It's a very subpar product as it currently stands.

I would describe the threads more as "KCC posts one positive thing about LeBron inevitably leading to five pages of hate about LeBron." I didn't even call him the GOAT this time, I just said he had a good game.

I was just discussing this over the weekend with my friends at my fantasy draft, yeah. Kawhi and the Spurs kind of ruined the NBA. That was never really a thing before Pop started allowing that and now everyone literally does it all the time.

Remember when David Stern actually fined the Spurs for that?

You could just start a LeBron thread.

I like watching him play, but I'm not sure discussing him ad nauseam is great for this thread.

Sassy Squatch 10-19-2022 04:31 PM

It's so engrained in the league now I don't know if they'll be able to reverse the trend, but Silver really should at least make an honest attempt at it.

Pitt Gorilla 10-19-2022 04:32 PM

I'm interested in seeing what Gobert brings to Minnny. If he (and his gang) can stay healthy, they should be fun to watch. Of course, I'm also geeked to see the Thunder play, even if they lose.

Other "young" teams, like NO, Kings, Cleveland, Rockets, and Magic should be fun to watch as well. LET'S GOOOOOO!

You're probably right. It's either that or the idiot that claims "NBA teams don't play defense" or someshit.

Sassy Squatch 10-19-2022 04:35 PM

I mean, we'd all agree that two of the "favorites" to win are the Clippers and Nets, yeah? Constantly featured in the national slot and yet most of the time you're lucky to see just one star while they're playing, nevermind the starting 5 as it should be on paper.

You see the video of him warming up?

Everytime someone says NBA teams don't play defense I talk about the time I saw Dwight Howard, known bricklayer, make like 15 straight mid range jumpers in warm ups. Because NBA players, even 'bad' shooters, just don't miss when they aren't guarded.

They're doing a pre-game spot and Westbrook is in the background getting 12 footers up. He went like 2 of 8.

He's just ****ing trash.

If he had any self awareness he would embrace the roll of a drive and kick PG only and play some defense. He still is quick and can get to the basket fairly easy he should just do that. But nah he wants to take jumpers and bricks them most of the time.

Or in short, do what Rondo did early in his career.

The reverse Jason Kidd?

Through the early part of his career, Kidd was, politely, a sub-optimal shooter. Now right around the time he hit 30 he found his stroke and could really shoot. But early in his career he was very much a drive and kick guy.

Yes though thinking about it I don't know if this is possible because Lebron is basically the PG alot of the time. Just a bad fit and LeGM is responsible.

KC_Connection 10-21-2022 12:21 PM

Literally all you have to do to make a LeBron team decent is add shooting (because he can take anybody individually off the dribble or in the post and force defenses to collapse and help) and the Lakers still somehow haven’t ever managed to do that in his entire tenure there. Even the team that won the championship lacked it. Just bizarre the direction they’ve gone here with Westbrook and the rest of the scrubs.

Kidd's J was hilarious, though. That push shot went in enough to make it interesting (as he got older), but it was always a bit odd.

Ja Morant with an absolutely ridiculous performance tonight. 49 points. Stepped up big after the Grizz went down 16 and couldn’t buy a bucket. It’s so fun watching him play.

Pitt Gorilla 10-21-2022 08:51 PM

Man, I like so much what Gobert allows the Wolves to do and his performance tonight was just about perfect. Until he had two free throws with the game in the balance and he wasn't mentally tough enough to hit either one. One game doesn't matter, but damn, get your shit together on the line, Rudy.

I definitely think there are a lot of teams good enough to knock the Warriors off. Playing against the Warriors becomes such a mental game. It gets so frustrating watching teams switch their style of play to try and keep up with GS. If teams stay focused on driving to the bucket instead of letting the Warriors dictate the pace and turn it into an ugly 3 point contest they will dominate the Warriors this year. For some reason teams are way too in love with the 3 ball today. Even when it’s not falling. There was a stretch in the 2nd quarter of the GSW vs Den game last night where I felt like I was just watching a couple middle schoolers jack up stupid 3’s in a game of NBA 2k. Denver should have been able to stretch the lead to 30+ but for some reason started jacking up stupid 3’s right along with GS. The Warriors do not have a good enough post presence to have the success they have had. Teams need to just stick to their game and drive the bucket with ease when they play the Warriors.

Doubt that is the case. All of his haters already trash him for not being loyal to his franchises (see the post above mine).

I honestly just think winning isn't the priority anymore for him. Family is.

Luka’s made Jah his ho just about every time they’ve faced each other.

God I love this.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">“No Russ no!”<a href="https://t.co/AuqXCkpWmy">pic.twitter.com/AuqXCkpWmy</a></p>&mdash; Bill Simmons (@BillSimmons) <a href="https://twitter.com/BillSimmons/status/1584308612041564162?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 23, 2022</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

You can HEAR the crowd shouting "noooooo!" as he shoots.

Just ****ing release the guy and be done with it. He ain't gonna hit anything but he's not gonna stop shooting it. He can't play defense and won't pass. The only way to succeed with him on the floor is to simply ice him out and play 4 on 5.

This is just amazing.

And remember folks - the 2023 first rounder is unprotected and the Pelicans have control of the pick swap.

Man I hope they get 1.1 and lose that ****er.

Eat shit, Lakers.

Like is Westbrook trying to get benched/released here? You have to at least consider the possibility after this.
