I'm wondering if Hardman has some kind of intestinal injury since they've never really said what it was. It's just weird that's we haven't said exactly what the injury is.

Sweet!

Can't wait for his fall into the ass of a linemen for 1.5 yards.

Honestly, do we really need Hardman to beat the ****ing Jags? Everyone is on their jock, but we win by 10 easily.

ToxSocks 01-17-2023 12:15 PM

Soooo....Hardman damn near died on the field that day.

Gary Cooper 01-17-2023 12:17 PM

The Undertaker competed for years with way worse injuries. Stop being a wuss already Mecole and play.

louie aguiar 01-17-2023 12:18 PM

That sucks about Hardman. Hopefully Toney can stay healthy.

The Franchise 01-17-2023 12:20 PM

Just leave CEH on IR. He has no value.

I really don’t want to see CEH get snaps in the postseason. We have three backs better than him.

They are activating Fortson as well it sounds like and he is back at practice today

Good news... first time they'll have their full group of TE's all season.

Seriously doubt that… We still don’t know what his injury was.. Or if he had a procedure.. Don’t know why it’s such a secret.. Maybe HIPA???

Hopefully CEH only gets activated as insurance in case of an injury to someone else.

I'm 3 weeks into recovery for a hernia repair. Six weeks is the consider enough time for a full recovery. I get what Andy is saying about pushing it and dealing with the after effects, though, but Mecole is at 8 weeks now.

At 3 weeks, you feel it when you stress the muscle, but even then it is more a discomfort than pain and, of course, there's worry about re-injury. Re-injury is a real concern if not fully healed, but at 8 weeks, I'd think you'd have to be getting closer to the point where the risk is essentially some what but not that much greater than if fully healthy.

If it is just the discomfort or pain, play through that shit and take your chances. If you go down, at least you tried. If you don't, bonus, you get to play in more games. So, take that chance on the Jags? Wait for championship? That's the situation.

Obviously the Raiders were not worth the risk, even if you thought him ready. My guess is that he'll be back when they think they really need him. So, not this week, even though he's "day to day.".

MahomesIsTheMVP 01-17-2023 01:03 PM

I’ve heard Andy say “day-to-day” on injuries that were season ending.

i know there's a lot of bitching about CEH here but i want him in on pass protection on critical downs

and he has the best hands of any RB on the team

KCUnited 01-17-2023 01:32 PM

From 12/29

Quote:

“So, as the week went on, he got a bit tired and sore,” Reid said of Hardman. “I think that was good. He worked his way through what he needed to get through. Now it’s a matter of getting him in a game. I presume, unless there is a setback, I presume he’ll be there. That’s where we’re at right now.”
So guessing its a setback?

I think he is better after the catch, but CEH's low center of gravity makes him a better pass blocker.

Ceh has value blocking and catching and if there's an injury, rather him than a late signing or Rojo, especially if it's McKinnon that's out.

Not playing will not help his value in free agency in any way shape or form, in fact its more likely the opposite.

They won't be active this week or next week I imagine unless there is an injury. They have 21 days to add them to the active roster IIRC

Sofa King 01-17-2023 02:44 PM

The thing is, when Hardman comes back the first game will be 10 plays or less, just like usual. The full workload doesn't hit for about 3 weeks after coming back. That's how Andy does it. Probably 3 plays on the first drive then maybe 3-5 the entire rest of the game.

Maybe in midseason but not in the playoffs. You can’t hold anything back in a one and done situation.. He’ll play as much as he’s needed. I think that’s why he has been held back..

As someone who has had a sports hernia for the last year, I’d say it can pretty accurately be described as both pelvic and abdominal.
