Andy should run this huddle with different plays every single time during the first half! Would be so ****ing epic!! Every time the snow globe stops, a different player is at the quarterback position. God that would be ****ing hilarious!

First thing I thought of when I read the OP.

The friends I was with left the game early since we where kicking ass. I stay until the job is done, and glad I did, as I saw Hungry Pig Right in all of its glory in real life and nobody can take that away from me~

you'd think if he was actually interested in going to the Broncos he'd find that move against the Raiders funny

Harbaugh would be their best case scenario, honestly, although I can't see why he'd want the job.

But a run first, play-action passing game is about all Russ can cook up. Pete Carroll is a smart man.

Yeah, no. While it would be epic, teams would quickly catch on to Mahomes eventually getting the ball and would key in on him. Plus McKinnon has actually played QB before. Outside him and Kelce I would not want anyone else tossing the ball to Patrick. That’s a pick 6 waiting to happen.

Harbaugh is playing Denver like a fiddle for a pay raise. Can probably make more money coaching at Michigan with a team coming off a playoff appearance. That is nothing but smoke from his agent for a raise.

I had a pretty good friend for awhile, who is a Bronco’s fan and hated the Chiefs. From 2007 to 2013 he would talk shit to me all the time. He would post stuff on my Facebook page about Chief’s losses.

Since our win streak, he has moved to St. Louis and unfriended me on Facebook. Just further proof that the Broncos and their fans are some bitches.

Pre-snap motion pisses off a grown man.

That's all it was...and you could see the confusion from the defense. It was a beautiful play design. Didn't give the D any time to figure out what kind of strange Wildcat they were defending.

I highly doubt Harbaugh would be interested in that job, but I think he would be the best hire Denver could make.

That whole roster (with maybe 5-7 exceptions) needs scrapped and rebuilt.

Sean Payton’s fatal flaw was his roster management. He was terrible at building a roster. Every year his teams would have huge dead cap charges. He’s only going to thrive in a role where he focuses on coaching. He wants roster control, though. So there’s that coupled with them needing to give up multiple picks *including a first* to get him and I’d WELCOME that move.

I don’t think they get either coach, TBH.

No picks.
Roster needs torn down.
Quarterback is garbage.

Gonna take a MAJOR overhaul and the team has already scapegoated the old coach multiple times in recent years.

If you guys get Harbaugh, the games will be fun to watch again.

The last 7-8 years it’s been like a predator playing with its food.

Realistically, Denver is going to end up with Eric Bienemy as their head coach.

Denver Broncos Draft Picks by Round in 2023

Round 1, Pick 29 (from MIA via SF)
Round 3, Pick 68 (from IND)
Round 3, Pick 69
Round 4, Pick 108
Round 5, Pick 140
Round 6, Pick 194 (from PIT)
Round 7, Pick 247 (from MIN)

And not sure that will change anytime soon. The Saints have an aging team and no QB, Atlanta needs a few more drafts to potentially be good, and the Bucs are gonna crash hard once Brady leaves after the season. The Panthers do have a lot of solid talent and could be really good with a good HC.

Assuming KC's draft position is #29 as well, Denver, with their extremely high 3rd round picks, actually have more pick value during the first two days of the draft than KC does.

Well one GM crushes his picks, the other doesn’t. Glad we have the good GM.

Gravedigger 01-11-2023 10:37 AM

Broncos are in the same boat as the Cardinals, you tied your franchise to the wrong Quarterback, now you're strapping the new coach with that headache and expecting them to risk their career to go there. Sure it's a nice payday for a coordinator, and a chance to break into the HC gig, but Josh McDaniels is a very rare case of a coordinator doing terribly at his first HC gig, then being given a second chance as well. If I were Harbaugh or Peyton I wouldn't go to Arizona or Denver and risk my legacy on that.

I went out for a run on Sunday, and I had the radio on in my ipod. I was hoping to pick up one of the early games. Instead, I got the bronco pregame show, with the two worst sports people I've ever heard. They were reporting the scores of the early games in progress, and they were saying things like,

"Let's give you an update on the Bears game. Anyone know the score?"

"It looks like it's 17 to 10."

"Okay, so that game is 17 to 10."

They wouldn't say who the Bears were playing or who was ahead. It was like they had never been in front of a microphone before.

But anyway, they were talking about the broncos, and they were excitedly talking about how Jim Harbaugh is interested and Sean Payton is interested and so on. And then one of them said,

"But remember, they're also going to have do three interviews with minority candidates before they hire anyone."

Well, they're not wrong. That's how it's viewed in most cases.

I don't like the blatant nepotism and the blatant old boy network in the NFL. I like seeing coaches' kids fail since they never earned the right to be coaches. But they should just change the Rooney Rule to the "Free Weekend of Touring NFL Cities For Minority Assistants" Rule. No one takes it seriously unless the guy is already a candidate for other reasons.

But he's better than a few dudes that have jobs out there right now.

Dude went 36-28 in Detroit. That ain't worth getting sent into coaching exile. People are writing Dan Campbell HoF speeches already and Caldwell's WORST seasons in Detroit were as good/better than what Campbell just had.

Honestly the best way to fix minority hiring would be to reward the team that hires one as an executive or HC with a third round pick. Currently there is no incentive to hiring one, only losing one. If a team thought they could get a third out of it they might take the interviews with minorities more seriously.

Actually they should reward a fourth to a team that hires a retread minority coach and a third for first timers. Could open up opportunities for young and up and coming minority coaches who lacked the opportunity to coach as a HC or lack the “name pedigree”. Also they can’t churn out minority HCs on a yearly basis like Houston does and expect to be rewarded with additional picks. They would need to retain a coach for at least three years before moving on unless they are let go due to gross negligence or something.

Caldwell is like 4 years older than Fangio, and hasn’t coached since 2019!!!
