Win or lose I love this Chiefs team more than any Chiefs team ever.

The heart this team gives is one I will never forget.

Gary Cooper 01-29-2023 11:00 PM

49ers
Buccaneers
Eagles

All three teams with elite DLs. Fair to say our offense struggled in both SBs, outside of the 4th quarter against the 49ers. I think Mahomes will play with a chip on his shoulder after the last SB loss.

I believe we'll need more from the run game and hopefully the WRs get Mr. Miyagi to massage their legs or something.

smithandrew051 01-29-2023 11:00 PM

Should be a good one.

Eagles are good. Chiefs are good.

Anytime you have the better coach and QB, you have a good chance. Bring it on.

Look at who the Eagles played this year. God they really haven’t played a great team.

I’ve never seen a team have an easier schedule including the playoffs

The Eagles are good and I don't think they're fraudulent, however, I am unsure how their offense is structured will be able to keep up with the Chiefs over the course of a game.

Key for them would be to focus on the run game to attempt to neutralize Mahomes/Chiefs offense. Eagles would not win if the game becomes a shoot out.

I think Chiefs would/should win and think the score would be like 31-20 Chiefs. I just can't see the Eagles keeping up offensively.

Yeah, I have no clue what to expect... play a 9 win team last week and a 4th string QB today, after a crazy soft schedule.

Doesn't mean they aren't good, but they're a huge unknown.

DRM08 01-29-2023 11:10 PM

Need the wide receivers, Kelce, Mahomes, Sneed, & Gay to get healthier. I hope they can have a stronger run game in 2 weeks. Tonight they only had 2 yards per carry.

Gravedigger 01-29-2023 11:12 PM

It's going to be a tough road to win it all. No easy games this time around, Jaguars, Bengals, now the Eagles. It's a crapshoot when you get to the Super Bowl, you don't know what to expect, you don't know the team outside of tape, anything can happen, just please god, don't let it be another Bucs Chiefs Super Bowl where we don't show up at all.

It will be a tough game. But one thing I know is you can attack the middle of the Eagles defense. Kelce (our one) should have a huge game.

kccrow 01-29-2023 11:18 PM

Their offense doesn't scare me even a little.

That defensive front though? Yeah, that ****er scares me. They have 4 players with 11 sacks and 1 with 7 in the regular season.

The Chiefs' O-Line needs more than a box of Wheaties for this one.

The O-Line needs to play like they did against the 49ers this season. Then again, the Eagles have more good players on the D-Line than the 49ers do. They may not have a Bosa but they're deep.

Pepe Silvia 01-29-2023 11:32 PM

Look at it this way, the Eagles had a cakewalk in the NFC Championship game, they will not get that luxury in the SB.

staylor26 01-29-2023 11:33 PM

The Eagles haven't really dealt with adversity all year, especially in the playoffs.

In a game of this magnitude, I'll take my chances with Andy/Mahomes and this team, because they've dealt with it all year.

FloridaMan88 01-29-2023 11:35 PM

Similar to the Chiefs/49ers Super Bowl… Eagles have the better overall team, but the Chiefs have the best overall player at the most important position (QB).

ThyKingdomCome15 01-29-2023 11:36 PM

First thing I'll be watching is the injury status on several players. Sneed, Toney, Gay, Hardman, obviously Mahomes, Kelce...

We need all hands on deck to seal the deal. Two weeks of rest us much needed.

Why Not? 01-29-2023 11:38 PM

Agreed. Don't get me wrong, the Eagles are good. But as a guy who went into the NFC game rooting for the Niners since I thought they would be "easier" for us (we did already pound them once), I came away not super impressed by the Eagles.

cdcox 01-29-2023 11:39 PM

Their offense has a lot of channels. Effective run game, Hurts scrambling, some play maker receivers. Our run defense has been decent this year. If the defense can limit the first and second down gains, I have confidence in the pass defense. QB scrambles are definitely a wildcard.

Their pass rush is no joke. Hopefully two weeks of rest allows Patrick to gain some mobility. It will be needed. If, unlike today, we can get some production from the run game, yeah, that would be great. Need some healthy targets for Patrick.

Hope some guys will heal on both sides of the ball. I don't want a repeat of the game against the Bucs where the end of season injuries prevented us from being competitive.

I think the Niners two years ago were a better team than this PHI team. Mostert, Buckner, a mauling OL, even Jimmy G over Purdy or the 4th string QB. Samuel has nothing on 2019 Mostert.

smithandrew051 01-30-2023 12:05 AM

Barret 01-30-2023 12:09 AM

Can I ask who have the Eagles played on their schedule that you would be scared of?

Week 1: Detroit??
Week 2: Minnesota on a Monday Night game Kirk Cousins
Week 3: Washington
Week 4: Jacksonville
Week 6: Arizona, was Kyler even playing?
Week 7: Cowboys with no Dak
Week 8 Bye
Week 9: Pittsburgh, Really???
Week 10: Houston
Week 11: OMG They lost to Washington
Week 12: Indianapolis, Was there a coaching change by now??
Week 13: Green Bay, HA!!
Week 14: Tennessee
Week 15: Giants
week 16: Chicago (getting that first pick in the draft)
Week 17: Loss to Dallas in a high scoring affair
Week 18: New Orleans loss
Week 19: Giants
1st round bye
2nd round laugher against the Giants...another bye
3rd round San Fran when they could only run the ball with no QB. hell another bye

I am not saying cake walk or anything but in 2 weeks the Chiefs should get their injured people back and Mahomes should be walking / running better. What is Andy Reid's record off a bye? How bad do you think Andy wants this because of those Philly "faithful" running him out of town? If you think "Burrowhead" brought the team together, what about the love of Andy Reid in that locker room and all he has to do is tell a couple of tales of Philly and maybe show an interview or 2 of Sal Palantonio or whatever that dude from ESPN's name is.

FloridaMan88 01-30-2023 12:30 AM

The only elite QB they played all season was Aaron Rodgers and he certainly wasn’t elite this season.

Justtalkinfootball 01-30-2023 12:32 AM

Common opponents arizona, Jacksonville, Indy, San Fran, Houston, Tennessee

Chiefs. 6-1
Eagles. 6-0.

Meanwhile, in reality-ville about this season’s schedule:

”Kansas City's first eight opponents will have a .500 record or better (based on final records from last season), the most consecutive games against teams .500 or better to begin a season in NFL history.”

And then you consider the additions made in the AFCW in a desperate attempt to catch the Chiefs.

We can absolutely make fun of your feeling like beating the Giants and Commanders is commendable.

This is a major factor in our corner they won't talk about.

Hurts is young and has faced zero adversity in the playoffs, and little in the regular season, in games that count.

ZERO.a

Our Chiefs have been through the fire.

Eagles beat Daniel Jones and the 49ers third and mostly 4th string QB in the playoffs.

You might want to sit out the weak schedule argument.

Cupcake after cupcake on that schedule. Chiefs path to this point has zero comparison to that gentle stroll in the park. At this point it works heavily in our favor too. We ready.

At one point in the game my Dad said he wondered what the Eagles were thinking. I replied they're probably thinking they can't beat either one of these teams. I stand by that.

TomBarndtsTwin 01-30-2023 01:05 AM

At this point I’m just hoping we’ve got enough guys left to fill a 53 man roster.

All these injuries killing us.

If Mahomes somehow pulls out a win against this stacked Eagles team with the majority of his offensive playmakers missing, it will be one of the greatest wins of all time!

Philly will definitely be the favorite. That’s okay. Chiefs seem to relish the underdog role in the post season.

Give ‘em hell, boys!

TwistedChief 01-30-2023 01:06 AM

I think the Eagles are really, really ****ing good. And I’m not convinced we match up well with them.

A less mobile Mahomes against their DL is frightening.

Our defense against a running QB is concerning.

Their receivers are excellent and we’re young in the secondary.

It’s a bad matchup for us and we really need everyone to be healthy.

Counterpoint: Mahomes gonna Mahomes.

We need to anchor a TE to Wylie, because that defensive line, especially Reddick, is going to abuse him over and over. I would say the over/under on sacks given up by Wylie should be around 3.

And it wouldn't hurt to leave a RB on Brown's side.

This defensive front 7 is ridiculously good. Their defensive line against our offensive line is definitely an advantage for the Eagles.

And after watching Burrow juke Bolton, and his earlier QB draw, I feel like the game could come down to how well we contain Hurts when he runs.

Joe Burrow, Josh allen, Justin Herbert twice are considered top what 5ish? Herbert depending on who you ask is top 6 or 7.

The eagles have had a great season but there have been some very fortunate breaks in the playoffs here. It's ok to acknowledge that. Still in the superbowl.

If you actually think the Eagles had the tougher schedule, you're a fool. The records clearly don't tell the story.

KC played Cincinnati 2x, LAC 2x, Buffalo, SF (w/ Jimmy G), Jax 2x, and @ Tampa.

Eagles faced Minnesota, Dallas 3x (once with Cooper Rush), Jax, Daniel Jones 3x and SF with a 4th string QB.

It's really not even close.

Isn't it weird how teaching football to other fan bases now falls on CP, for every opponent every playoff run?

I feel like we need consulting dollars or something.

And FFS, it wasn't THAT long ago the Eagles were in the SB... they should know how playoff football works. :doh!:

Even Geno who was pretty good this year.

Your team didn’t face that type of QB competition this season

Eagles fans are cocky. Other fans are clueless.

Line that close is irrelevant pretty much a pick ‘em. With that said Eagles won their playoff games by an average of 28 points. This game will be a little closer. Eagles by 24

The two dominant lines are on one team. This is gonna look like Bucs v Chiefs.

Yea I feel like we can do whatever we want to them, I dont see how we dont score 30+ on them

If the Chiefs don't get significantly healthier by the SB they gonna get dog walked by the Eagles.

Unless Eagles do some absolute self destructive shit (like way out of character turnovers and penalties), I see them winning by at least 8. And that’s being generous with maybe garbage time scoring.

This team really has the talent to do whatever TF they want.

Yes Mahomes is magical and low key has NFL-Plot-Armor himself, but is 11v11 out there and Eagles have more talent too to bottom

Kansas City will probably do some damage with their run game vs our run D tho

Still gonna be a fun game

Gravedigger 01-30-2023 08:53 AM

Good, the Chiefs want you to think this will be a walk in the park, just like Cincinnati.

DrunkBassGuitar 01-30-2023 08:53 AM

lol @ "mahomes has NFL plot armor" that's good I like that one

Eagles fans should be cocky if they think they are facing the KC team at the end of the game yesterday. Very strongly doubt they will be.

So far the Chiefs are 16-3 when I pick them to win 69-0.

I also think the Chiefs will win 69-0 in the Super Bowl.

Ditto, it looked good against the 49ers. Their run game looks multifaceted and Hurts is a threat with his legs as well.

If Philly gets its run game going, they are going to try to kill us with play action.

We're going to have to spy Hurts.
