I saved myself the trouble and started the season with expectations of disappointment. 2014, 2015 was the exception, the Royals are back to normal.

Missed the game. Should I watch on dvr? Was it good?

Stay for the 5th inning AB where Melendez refuses to take a bases loaded walk on a pitch that was 5 feet out of the zone, only to then hit a weak ass ball for an inning ending double-play.

I watched these guys pretty closely last year. I think Witt Jr, MJ and Vinnie will all be pretty decent ballplayers, but if we are hitching the wagons to these guys being All-Star caliber players, we will be rebuilding for the next decade. Witt Jr took defensive, half swings at pitches in every AB. I hope I'm wrong, but he is not a star. Hopefully I get to come back and eat crow on that one. Good ballplayer, but I watched pretty closely last year and he's never going to be an MVP-Caliber player.

I didn't catch the Royals game but did listen to a few innings of the Rockies game. Any of you notice how the pitch clock has changed the announcers approach to the broadcast? there is virtually no time for chit chat. It almost (to me) sounded as if they were a recording and had the speed set at 1.2x normal. I like it.
