[QUOTE=Wisconsin_Chief;17241496]When you yearn for the days of Donnie Avery and past his prime D-Bowe, you know things bad.

We would be undefeated if we had Bowe.

If the Chiefs win the SB this year with this WR group, it’ll highlight how bad the rest of the league is. It seems likely that it’ll get us in the end, especially if we play a team that can score.

We would have dropped 40 on Philly and embarrassed them on national television if we had only CAUGHT THE ****ING BALL.

There's not a team in the NFL that scares me, at all, not a single bit.

You know what scares me?

NOT CATCHING THE ****ING BALL.

that's it.

****ing Buffalo? LOL.

No.

Unless we just don't CATCH THE ****ING BALL.

Pasta Little Brioni 11-25-2023 05:13 PM

The problem is when it happens every week, it's a trend not a fluke. The team is what it is right now and I refuse to act like losing 3 games due to drops is a good thing or easily corrected at this point

I don't think anybody is.

Do I think they're going to continue to be THAT bad?

It doesn't seem statistically likely. I mean, goddamn.

But who ****in' knows?

If James goes in and starts dropping balls left and right, we'll know it's some ****ing voodoo curse.

This is going to force Andy/Nagy to narrow the WR rotation and maybe/finally get Rice volume targets.

This is what I was saying eralier. BUT, MVS, Moore, and Watson are all active, so we can only hope...

Maxx Crosby out. If there's a time for a "get right" game for the offense it's now. Stop the rotations and get guys comfortable with Mahomes and get Rice comfortable playing 80% snaps. Cause that's what we'll need come playoff time.

You’re not wrong. But it’s a constant issue and not likely to go away. So, any team with a gamer QB and WRs is worrisome because the defense can only do so much. Josh Allen > Tua imo.

I'm only finding Crosby listed as Doubtful. Where did you get the "out" designator?

You're right. But doubtful almost always equals out.

O.city 11-25-2023 07:07 PM

Flush Toney after this season. Cheap or not the dude can’t play without breaking

Chiefshrink 11-25-2023 07:12 PM

There will NOT be one dropped ball tomorrow by any of our WR corp. :thumb:

O.city 11-25-2023 07:14 PM

Hardman to ir with an injury he sustained then came back in and played after

Seems like not ideal

So we're just going to hand off to Pacheco 60 times then. That works for me.

Bowser 11-25-2023 07:48 PM

Man, they SEVERELY overestimated the talent in the WR room, and/or Mahomes' ability to make horseradish out of horseshit when it comes to wide receivers.

philfree 11-25-2023 07:53 PM

I wonder if Toney is ever really injured or is he a guy with low pain tolerance?

This is so abysmal I don't know where to begin. Flush all 3 of these turds.

Those are game stats for Tyreek.

Yeah, it's almost like winning it all takes skill, a lot of work, and some luck and for some reason that's really hard to count on.

Yes. That is the only way this true.

Bump 11-25-2023 10:01 PM

Not worried if Toney and Hardman can't play.

Although I was liking Toney on punt returns.

But hopefully Richie James can replace the 3 catches for maybe 18 yards that we would have gotten out of Toney and Hardman.

Couch-Potato 11-25-2023 10:14 PM

I don't care if they come back or not this season, both are worthless other than a flash in the pan play once in a blue moon.

Bowser 11-25-2023 10:17 PM

Can't lie - I hope they have a couple of screens ready to go for Perine.

LongSufferingToady 11-25-2023 10:22 PM

Catching the ball and not fumbling it. Chiefs are bottom third of the league in turnover margin and penalties. Drops, penalties, turnovers. Gotta stop doing it.

irafreak 11-25-2023 11:52 PM

So let's see..this moves mvs, Watson, and Rice to 1,2,3 doesn't it? Oh wait forgot about skyy. Well we beat the bengals in the afc championship with less...

bringbackmarty 11-26-2023 12:26 AM

Skye Moore breakout game I guess?

bringbackmarty 11-26-2023 12:27 AM

Probably something along the lines of 5 receptions, 85 yds and a TD.

ThyKingdomCome15 11-26-2023 01:11 AM

Not seeing the issue.

T-post Tom 11-26-2023 02:24 AM

Plz, no more over-the-shoulder passes to MVS. Poor ball skills & catches with his body.

Give Rice his biggest # of targets for the year.

Don’t throw intermediate or long passes to Watson on 3rd or 4th downs. Give him a shot on some bubble screens, jet sweeps & similar plays where he can rely on his speed & not his hands. Preferably on first and second downs.

More targets for Noah Gray.

Rasputin 11-26-2023 02:49 AM

Need more targets to Rice anyways.

neech 11-26-2023 07:55 AM

Good game for Skye to redeem himself Mahomes needs to throw the ball his way though for it to happen.

Time for Skye to nut up or shut up.

bigjosh 11-26-2023 08:04 AM

Was hoping they would healthy scratch mvs. Not likely with mecole and toney out

I saw a video of Rices snaps yesterday, and there’s a reason he’s not getting the ball. A lot of his routes seem to run right into defenders, doesn’t seem to run them well. He’s our best receiver, but he’s got a LOT of learning and polishing to do.

Glad to see Rice having a good game today. But that video was pretty condemning. I'm not sure if he's earned the privilege of running to the open spot, but I saw a lot of him running away from open space into coverage. He seldom put pressure on the man covering him.

It’s almost like he might just be a young player who has upside and can benefit from more snaps and experience.

You've got to play them to develop them.

Well, it didn't really seem to be the general consensus, and patience with the growing pains certainly wasn't, so yeah, maybe so.

Sometimes a little logic is revolutionary on CP.

O.city 11-27-2023 07:46 AM

They've played thru the bumps, the issue is just Toney can't be on the field for a game without breaking.

Ross is good though. Looks like a high end #2 type guy with some real upside to be more than that. Moore isn't gonna be good, but if he can be a good 3 or 4 for the next few years maybe you can get some value there

notorious 11-27-2023 07:48 AM

Having the possibility of Toney playing is hurting the team. They played better without him being an option.

I really wanted to see them experiment with him in the background more like they seemed to do in the first quarter in Philly. If they're not going to use him in the passing game, I think he has the vision and moves to be a Deebo Samuels type threat out of the backfield. Just doesn't have the durability for that though.
