Give me a break.

It will be way colder in KC tonight than Buffalo tomorrow.

Rain Man 01-13-2024 12:26 PM

We all know the real reason here. Bad weather helps the Steelers, so the governor postponed the game to give the Bills a better chance of winning. Politicians should never get involved in trying to change the outcome of a football game.

staylor26 01-13-2024 12:27 PM

The league's most coddled team by far.

Bearcat 01-13-2024 12:28 PM

After spending a week shouting at clouds and bitching about the NFL doing whatever the **** it wants by streaming a playoff game on Peacock, I do at least appreciate the big middle finger to the NFL a little with implementing the travel ban.

I know the narrative is "coddling the Bills", but I have doubts that's the case considering it's 24 hour before game time... if it was fully the NFL's decision and they wanted to go out of the way for them, they would have done it by Thursday.

They're probably kind of mad about it, considering ratings on a Monday afternoon versus Sunday...... and **** them.

And **** Buffalo.

KC_Connection 01-13-2024 12:28 PM

2nd year in a row that Goodell has stepped in to help this team. Chances of a upset go significantly down now without the wind.

Its not about the players. Its about the fans. Fans literally cannot physically get to this game from some areas. It was a responsible and prudent decision.

For the Chiefs? Travel isnt really an issue unless you have an unlucky flight. Its just cold.

State level politicians don't give a shit about the Bills. Buffalo is considered fringe Canada.

Marcellus 01-13-2024 01:19 PM

Appears the NFL didn't pay attention to weather forecast.

Houston playing early inside KC playing late in freezing temps.

Sunday games aside from Buffalo are all inside/ warmer weather.

Monday game is in Tampa.

Seems if they were paying attention KC would have been early, and Buffalo would have been on Monday night.

They were too worried about getting the swifties signing up for Peacock to use any kind of common sense.

Hammock Parties 01-13-2024 02:09 PM

they are in excuse making mode at two bills drive

Quote:

Ugh! If the Bills win, this means they’ll play an opponent that has two extra days of rest on them. Something always happens.
Quote:

6 days between games for the Bills (assuming a win) and 8 days for whoever comes here (cle, Hou, or kc).

Let the adversity continue!
Quote:

Now the NFL should do the right thing for football fans and move the Miami-KC game to 1 pm Sunday on CBS. It’s also a bad weather situation.
Quote:

Yeah, extra time for a guy like Andy Reid can't lead to anything positive, right? I'm sure he'll waste the day away.
Quote:

And the chiefs will have an extra day of rest if we play them again. It’s just comical. These guys approved of a new outdoor stadium in Buffalo New York and then postpone games when weather hits. Just put a damn roof on it then. I understand the game would be a mess, but it just seems ridiculous. And they’re ok with playing the game in kc at -30 wind chill with fans there?? Yeah ok
Quote:

This is bad. We will be playing a team next week (assuming we win) that played on Saturday. They will have a 2 day rest and prep advantage over us.
Quote:

Cool. So if we beat the Steelers then they complain we had an advantage. Then if we lose to the Chiefs the following week, we complain we didn't have enough rest and the NFL wanted KC to win.

This should be a fun few weeks

Bills are needing peeps to push snow shovels-
"The Bills announced Friday they are looking for people to help shovel snow inside Highmark Stadium Saturday night to get the field ready for the Wild Card matchup. The team and its janitorial provider Jani-King are inviting anyone aged 18 and over — or under 18 with proper working papers."

20 bucks an hour multiple shifts available but you will need to be on stand by as the travel ban is still in place.

From what I just saw on the NFLN it didn't look like it was snowing to hard to play. It did look bad earlier when they did a report but not so much now. Considering it's Buffalo NY it could snow for days. They should have just played the game today.
