Tight race for worst EPA day by a quarterback, per Next Gen Stats.
Bryce Young -12.6 Daniel Jones -12.4 Joe Burrow -12.4 LMAO |

They looked past the Patriots They better be prepared for Chris Jones though |
We're better than CIN in all three phases. After the way they looked today a two score victory seems very plausible.
|
I just now looked at the scores, they lost to the Patriots ROFL
We win by 30 |
Chase didn’t even have enough conviction to complete a contract holdout correctly.
He should take notes from 3x SB champion Chris Jones. |
Cincy 27
Chiefs 30 Why cause that’s what we do. |

We have been very close to blowing out the Bengals in every game against them. That finally comes to fruition this time. 30-13 Chiefs win.

I bet they look like an entirely different team next week. You could probably put money on it. We're everyone's Super Bowl but especially them because they hate us so much. We'll see how much they actually have left in the tank.

The Bengals DL struggled today against a pretty mediocre OL.
Hendrickson looks uninterested in anything but chasing sacks, Hubbard looks like he took a step back, and they really, really miss Reader in the middle. Dax Hill has also not stepped up at all and looks like a bust, and they have never found a solid replacement for Bates. Logan Wilson is still a good all-around LB in the middle and they still have some talent and Antrim’s is still a smart coordinator, but this is not the Bengals defense of 2021 and 2022. Biggest question for me is what their offense looks like week 2. A full-go Chase changes looks a lot. |
NFL players need to be smart enough to keep their helmets on. So no one recognizes them in public. Let neighbors think they won the Lottery
|
JaMarr Chase next week every snap he's out there with Burrow throwing limp ducks, down 31-10, with Mahomes grinning on the sidelines.

The Been-Gals looked ugly and disjointed, like first game of the pre-season with all back-ups playing ugly and disjointed.
|
|
With zero pressure all game Joe was jumpy and going to the check downs pretty quickly ADT was like 3-4 yards and that was without pressure.

Bengals will bring a better game against the Chiefs.
Doesn't matter, Chiefs will win IMO |
jamarr chase looks like drake so theres already a natural aversion there

I think it was obvious that the Bengals were overlooking the Pats and had an eye on their game with us this week. It was a trap game and they fell in it.
I expect them to play great against us...we are their most hated rival. We should expect a tight game...we are everybody's super bowl. |
The schedule is suddenly looking much easier. A few tough ones on the road, but I think KC's going to cruise through most of these games.
|
He looks timid. Don’t remember seeing this kinda stuff from him. Is Joe…broken?

This was the most concerning play of the day. 3rd down with the game on the line and you have a shot play against single high. I think this game will be on the Chiefs DL.
The Bengals defense stands little chance against this emerging juggernaut. Without DJ Reader, they got absolutely plowed by the Patriots, and the Chiefs also are fond of multi-TE sets. Pacheco may break 100 this game. Lou Anarumo (sp?) is a great DC and the last few times he's played KC, he floods that intermediate zone and dares Mahomes to beat him deep. I expect he'll have a little success with that but this may be the game where Worthy gets some bombs thrown his way. Between those deep shots and a run game that Cincy will have to overcommit to stop, I see the Chiefs dropping 30+ this game. Once you have to overcommit to an aspect of the Chiefs offense, Andy Reid will counter you to hell and back. The Bengals offense still has weapons to challenge KC and to keep up, so long as Burrow has his head screwed on. But he looked awfully tentative in the face of a good passrush last week. If the DL can put heat on him, he flinches now in ways he simply hasn't in the past. I was more sour on the Chiefs secondary from the Ravens game than most people were -- I thought their assignments were routinely messed up. The Bengals have a far better assortment of weapons, even without Chase, than the Ravens do, so this will be a clearer challenge for them. But if you rattle Burrow, I don't think it'll matter. And unfortunately for the Bengals, I simply don't think their OL is very good. I entered this season believing the Chiefs would be kinda lucky to start off 2-0. If Burrow returns to prime form, this game could legitimately be a shootout that the Chiefs could lose because I am not currently crazy about our secondary aside from Reid and McDuffie. But if Burrow keeps burrowing like he did against the Patriots, I think 2-0 is far more likely than not. In short, we have more answers for the Bengals on both sides for the ball than they have for us. I think we are likely to win this game, like, 31-20. |
Is this Hollywood Brown week?
Sure hope. I think that additional threat is enough that we could then give these guys the beating we've long been awaiting. |

Wow.
Joe Mixon gone (was excellent yesterday for Houston), Higgins still hurt, Boyd gone, OL still a mess and Burrow’s arm is still a problem. Their defense is still a lot worse as well. That window closed really fast |
Gotta figure they aren't as bad as they showed.
But who the hell knows, all the weird shit they've got going on. |

One of the most explosive offenses in NFL history. One ring and done. Only 4 winning seasons. QB couldn't stay healthy. |
What a twist. The team refuses to negotiate in good faith with any star player not named Joe Burrow so they've all gone flaccid.
|
The opportunity for the Chiefs is pretty big if they go 2-0 and put these two AFC rivals essentially two games down for HFA. Yeah it's a long season but getting a leg up on these teams now puts us in the driver seat and it will also be a great way to kickoff the 3-peat chant.

Guys,
If Higgins can't play, and we don't know if Chase will play... how exactly do the Bengals beat us? The one advantage they had over the Ravens was that they have better weapons. They somehow have even worse weapons if Chase/Higgins don't play. Burrow/Lamar are a wash. The Ravens defense is better. I suppose the Bengals have a better DC but how exactly do the Bengals plan on winning this game? Edit: Chase will play. So the Bengals still have a chance, IMO. |
Chase get hurt or something?
|
He's dogging it due to his contract situation.
|
He shoulda sat yesterday.
Offense would have looked even worse and then they could have said it was because he didn't play, leading to the contract extension this week before facing a rival. |

Cincy looked past pats. Hopefully they do it against out Pat.
But the two teams always play close. We are most teams Superbowl or rivals right now. Hopefully we kick the shit out of them. But odds are it is a 3 or game. |
If Hollywood plays, KC's dropping a 40 burger.

Something weird is going on with Cincy.
I still believe they play us close, for at least one half. There's no way they play that bad 2 weeks in a row. Its either a nail biter to the end, or we pull away in the 2nd half as the Bungles unravel. |

Weird vibes from that team. Reminds me of the Days of our Steelers year where it was non-stop drama every week. |
Not much to talk about
Burrow has a limp wrist Chase is pouting Boyds gone Gesicki is a drop machine And their D has taken a step back Chiefs win 33 - 20 |
Man Trent Brown got annihilated by Keon White and other DL yesterday. He was REALLY bad. He’s washed.
We’re going to destroy him |
They looked like shit @ home vs. Patriots. Watched this game and was not impressed at all. Chase did hardly nothing and they were w/o Higgins. We shall see...Another CHIEFS victory! NEXT! :thumb:
|
Lamar takes a lot of heat on this board but he does evade the pass-rush and make his OL look better than they are.
Burrow cannot do that so this is the week for the rushers to get home and bury the QB. |

Watch our DL closely from that game. Jones or whoever would win immediately and have to break down to contain Jackson. The threat of him running means the DL or blitzers have to hesitate a bit when they get past the line, even when Lamar doesn’t do anything at all. If that’s Burrow, those guys are just going to tee off on him. No hesitation at all. |
